venkat raj . What have you expected from him in Kukkatpally ? I think Kukkatpally constituency is far better than 95 % constituencies in India. As far as my knowledge goes M.L.As and M.Ps are public representatives and not public servants. According to the Constitution their duty is to represent the people's voice on the floor of the House, so that the aspirations of the people are properly reflected in the policy making of the Government and in the enactment of various Laws in the Assembly / Parliament. They can also give valuable suggestions to the Government either on the floor of the House or in the various parliamentary committees appointed by the Government. I think Jayaprakash ji is one of the most suitable persons in this respect. We have lost his services. Patriotism should overtake selfishness, keeping in view the long term interests of the nation.
I disagree , he might have good knowledge on economics and social affair but he is a poor leader . He is one of those guys who make great score in theory but fail in practical exam .

Here, the question is whether the country has lost his services after having failed to elect him as an M P, and not about his leadership qualities.He may not be the proper person to fit into the framework of Indian politics which is filled with rampant corruption. groupism, rowdyism, family and caste politics etc. A democratic system gets success only when the people are united, disciplined and enlightened. When the system lacks these qualities , it becomes Mobocracy. Leaders like Jayaprakash ji would flourish only in a democratic system.

@Sheeba Verughese Your judgement is more like a student Who cracked IITJEE but didnt become a scientist or a scientist who couldn't crack JEE..Instead see like this He could crack JEE as well as become a scientist...I believe JP is one such with my personal experience..I will give an instance when he served as a Collector for prakasam district Of andhra Pradesh,He wisely guided many farmers towards a decent profits in times where other district farmers are dieing in a time of drought by not getting support from govt...I personally think your judgement is based on social media statements but not on good track of his service record
Watching this 9 years after it was posted. Extremely eloquently and sensibly put. Unfortunately, not sure if anything has changed in the country for us in these 9 years... We are definitely not yet on the right path...

This has been one of my best go to speeches by an Indian. It sucks that Indians never elect honest people. He would have been President of USA if born here.
ఎవడో ఒక్కడైనా ఇన్స్పైర్ అయి ఆలోచన చేసి ఉంటాడా అని నా డౌటు after listening to him... ofcourse not all politicians are bad as he said but 95 to 98 percent are definitely bad...other 2 to 5 percent will not get a chance to continue as a politician like him or will be withdrawn... But good part is he is still continuing to give suggestions to the politicians and trying to enlighten normal people. Hats off to his patience and hope !!! 👏🙏🙏
The problem with you sir is, that u we're born in a country in which, one in A thousand has a brain & one in a million have the maturity to think wts right & whom to choose to rule. There is a saying in English " a child miseducated is a child lost". This is what happened with our country men and our nation for many years. He is a good politician with a wrong contemporary politicians and wrong attitude of people in the country. Need strict laws so that everyone everyday at least talk about the law and think about the law once he/she tries to break the law. Tort of injury should be taken seriously from government point of view. Fear of misconduct will change their minds if the law is enforceable without wasting time.
Proportional representation is deseperately needed.continuing with fptp is very irrational.FPTP is an injustice to many people whose interests were never gets represented.
