Want to say thanks again to John for having this discussion and being so candid. I tried to get out as many of your questions that you had in this video, but still only scratched the surface. Also to be clear, this was in no way a paid promotional video to promote John or his products. I still have my own disagreements with John, but despite that I do use (and personally paid for) his X3 Bar with my own home fitness workouts. So my only bias is that I do like his product and am an affiliate with him. Shameless plug use "MIKE" to save off your purchase of an X3. Also check the channel as I also provide cheaper alternatives as well.
I watch RU-vid videos when I have an interest in purchasing a product. I watch these videos from a bunch of different sources and after sifting through all the info, I make the best decision I can whether or not the product is something I want to try. Where the person who is selling the product I am interested in may, or may not, have gone to school is irrelevant- the products and the reviews of those products are my focus. I purchased X3 some weeks back after watching videos on your channel. About 2 days after it arrived, I got sick and delayed my start. I’ve been better for 10 days and I am now in my second week of using X3. So far, I feel like the workouts kick my butt and I’m sweating when I’m done. That seems to me like I’m off to a good start. That’s what I care about, not where this dude went to college.
The reason you can't do a dissertation on your own product is because there is a conflict of interest. How can you possibly trust the findings? Would you ommit data if it makes your product look bad?
Modern medicine does for sure. If a statin finds it causes cancer, they are not obligated to release their findings and instead release subpar or even fraudulent findings instead because they stand to make billions. Your brain and hormones require cholesterol. LDL cholesterol doesn't kill people. Damaged LDL from a bad diet does. Statins don't fix that. So they have a strong incentive to lie. This is no different. I will say all of his testimonials are not paid for according to him (some of them famous people), so that's promising, at least. Wish I could find a good long-term review on x3. Everyone keeps using it not as intended according to instructions or not for long enough to actually prove or disprove anything. I want to see someone eating and exercising exactly as described by Dr. J for at least 90 days.
@@Vhc706INo one can explain experience. You have to accomplish experience. Go get a PhD for starters. Live it. Then learn how research has deceived us for centuries. You have been lied to the same as we all have. Follow the money and not the research.
(disclaimer: I am a competitor) I would respect John more if he would not torture science to try to prove the superiority of band training. A study done on straight weights vs. weights + bands (what most studies are about) cannot be used for this. I know from my personal n=1 experience that there are some very interesting things going on with bands, but it will take proper studies.
maybe you could send mike your product for a reveiw and comparison? I've been on your site before and the handles look better than any band handle product i've seen
I will have to say that was a pretty good interview even though I'm not a big fan of Jaquish. I'm glad that you ask those hard and controversial questions and will give him props for willing to talk about them.
X3 is a solid product, full stop. But he’s also a snake oil salesman and a serial liar. He takes legitimate studies and twists himself into knots making the argument that it somehow applies to his product and his product alone. Same goes for his supplements, especially nonsense like the “cytronium” he peddles. The man excels at marketing but his business model relies on the concept that his version of the truth is the only one that matters.
Bingo🎯. He's also a serial bragger, and uses insults for anyone who might challenge his philosophies. He reminds of the temper tantrum toddler on many levels.
Yes I have listened to all his podcasts and catch him constantly tripping up saying different things that go against what his said in another one, cytronium does have 2 things that have some limited studies behind them he simply combined them he didn’t invent it the biggest lie is fortagen like he invented it, it’s based on MAP and for awhile not sure if it’s the case now Perfect Amino was manufacturing his Fortagen but he acted like it was his own, if you look at the old containers it was literally the exact same packaging labels come from perfect amino and being relabeled for Joaquin’s biomedical but every5ing else was the exact same markings as PA, he can deny it but what happened was he went on the Ben greenfield podcast who already made kion aminos from PA then heard of it through Ben and simply became a customer of PA soon after with Fortagen but to say he invented is pure BS he’s just another PA customer
@@sportbilly6329 I remember comparing the labels to my own container of perfect amino... same thing , same manufacturer. He just changed the serving size slightly. He would argue its his own "recipe"... it was so sad.. anyone who would question it on his facebook X3 page would be silenced and banned and/or called names..
To me ,”solid” implies good value. X3’s cost, compared purchasing an extensive variety of lengths and strengths of high-quality bands, is not a good value.
I have an X3 and love it (I am 67 years old). As soon as his book, “Weightlifting is a Waste of Time” came out, I looked at my wife and said, “He just challenged the entire weightlifting/gym industry, and they are going to come after him. Looks like I was right.
@BryanAllen-jc4cn humans have been doing things like this to stay fit since the beginning of time.. doesn't mean weight lifting is useless.. actually very few people can muster the actual mental focus needed to go to total failure with bands... If you don't, you wont have as good of results but youll get something.
Once you use the X3 bar for a few weeks you see what an obviously incredible tool & method it is. In a 1-2 minute set you are smoked like you cannot believe. It feels so heavy that it seems like you should only be able to last 5 reps - yet somehow you manage 20+ reps if you keep pushing. It feels so demanding it seems like you should be very sore the next day but you feel perfect. No soreness whatsoever. And then for the first time in your life your wife starts commenting about about how muscular you are becoming. And it is taking you 10-15 minutes at home each day. Absolutely legit. It becomes so addictive because of how effective, safe, fast and simple it is. Its all about very high intensity in a very short duration in a strategic and very safe way.
I agree with his theory on his pHD. I had a similar issue when i took class on web design. I had a great instructor went from the worst student in class knowing nothing to learning html, coding and learning dream Weaver, photo shop etc, put together a 300 pg wed site on my own biz and posted it last hour before semester ended. It made a difference iny life. And the desire to learn was personal!!! Good for john!!!! You made a difference!!! PS got an A in class!!!
There is such a thing as "a lot of TRT". It's pretty simple to explain using his cup analogy. You poor more into the cup. TRT abuse is a real thing and he surely knows this being a chairman of a steroids and hormone company. Him not acknowledging is very suspect.
@@hybridresistance I'm sure there are number of times you thought that. We can't forget the I tried X3 and it didn't work response. “Whenever I see a comment like that on one of the ads, I go and search the customer database for that name. One hundred percent of the time they are lying - they never bought it". But this the same guy who wrote in his book that he doesn't pay for endorsements . The same guy who has a page of NFL and NBA athletes on his front page and bodybuilders, who won competitions many years ago, in his official group. It's a good product, but the things he says are so easily disproved and plain ridiculous. If you only knew all the other claims he has made. The reason he didn't mention his X3bar in his talk is because it's against the rules to market on TED/TEDx talks. However, it was still flagged by TEDx for falling outside content guidelines.
@@sportbilly6329well, he said the following in his Tedx talk. So apparently everyone is natural and he doesn't pay attention to the news. “The amount of males that have been kicked out of sports, or disallowed from participating in professional sports because they had too high level of testosterone is zero. So that’s not a thing, they test for that.”
What is your point?? You can take as much TRT as you want and you will not get anywhere near the same results as someone who takes other PEDs. That is what he means. HGH will get you huge. But no one should take more than the recommended dose of TRT. It’s not for getting huge. It’s to restore levels and other issues as well. Also you need to take other supplements when you take TRT. You cannot compare TRT/HRT to other steroids or PEDs
Another killer interview! Thank you for your time and work! At the 4:00 minute mark Dr J said he’s training to be light and for strength, which I assume is with the X3 standard 8 exercise push pull routine. I wonder if that’s what the standard X3 program is for because I always lose muscle size after strict adherence for a few months. When I switch to a little more volume I gain size again but fall for the appeal of minimalistic Mentzer training, try X3 and hope that I was just doing it wrong, then again get smaller. I think it’s a great product but I believe the Harambro or similar programs with more volume and variety seem to yield more hypertrophy. Thanks again for pulling the gloves off but being civil.
The X3 programming is a great deloading. Even using X3 products is great for recovery since the variable resistance is so high. 90% of the time I use Harambe's products and programming. The results are incredible.
On the subject of his photoshopped pictures, Jaquish has a valid point when he says that everyone does this. The problem is that, #1. When he was called out on this in the past he denied that his pictures where enhanced but now admits that they are. And #2. He holds himself up as the poster boy as to what is possible when using the X3. It can be argued that he is selling a false bill of goods since he does not, and cannot ever, look as good as he does in his manipulated pictures. While it may be true that a lot of people are doing this it doesn’t make it any less deceptive and unethical.
Hi Mike, I know this is an older video but just watched it this morning. As mentioned in another comment, I have the Harambe system which I've used consistently for over a year. I'm 65 yrs old and for me the results have not been steller but I can point to a lot of reasons why (none related to the product). I've recently become interested in trying the X3 to change things up a bit with the shorter bar and also to have a more travel friendly set. This would not take the place of my Harambe system but add to my options if you will. My question is related to the apps. since you have used them both. I know both companies support your channel but can you tell which app you like best? Is the X3 app a lot better in a way it might better track progression? Thanks!
It's been awhile since I've used both apps, but I'd say the Harambe app is superior, but it is also built around their system. There is a simple X3 app that is good but basic. Their other one is really built for their x3 force bar, which I had problems with.
I'm confused by those critics that think that getting your testosterone into the normal range "changes the game". I have been on 200mg/mL once a week testosterone cyp for 14 years and I am in the normal T range and very much not muscular after 8 years of intermittent heavy strength training, the last three being very consistent. I guess it changes the game for those with no/low T to get them on equal footing with the normal T people. He is on 70mg/mL a week (on his 10mg/mL daily dose). Are you saying that we should handicap ourselves because we have a medical issue with producing T by not using the medication to get us to normal? With TRT we are playing the same game as the normies; hard work, proper diet, dedication, and genetics gets results.
@@sydneybird116 I think it’s more pointed at some people who are looking like ifbb pros on “trt” or the 70yr olds with abs like a 17 yr old. But definitely not judging as there are some genetic freaks out there and or some who respondreally well on anabolics.
@@sydneybird116Some people absolutely need to be on trt for health reasons, and there's nothing wrong with that. But for Jaquish, it is absolutely contributing to his physique, which he is then using to sell a product
@@sydneybird116 The REPLACEMENT part is an issue because everyone has different levels to begin with and at different ages also. What aloud of people forget or don’t realise that the muscle nuclei which is what lets you build bigger muscle from excess Testosterone last at least 15 years and maybe permanent. So even if you drop your Testosterone down to “normal “ you will still be able to build bigger muscles. And by him sort of implying that you can one replace what your body would naturally produce is pretty much asinine because bodybuilders wouldn’t be able to build the muscle they do. And by implying that there is no way to take excess is disingenuous. Here is a quote from a study on the whole thing. We now know from studies in mice that when muscles grow in response to steroid use, they also gain nuclei, which are retained when muscles have returned to their normal size after steroid withdrawal (muscle memory). When the muscles of these mice are then loaded to mimic weight training, the extra nuclei help muscles grow faster and much bigger than muscles in normal mice. This means that athletes can benefit from using steroids to grow their muscles without the fear of detection, and might do so already.
The original variable resistance was Arthur Jones with Nautilus. Yes they were machines but the whole concept revolved around the Nautilus cams that varied the resistance through the range of motion. The machines were set to be safe, fast, and efficient. Many programs were built around the machines and proved very effective. Super slow heavy low reps, high rep light weight. The X3 system is compact and portable, good for him! He's making big bucks, good for him. I don't like gyms either, that's why I have a Bowflex with variable resistance power rods, a Peloton row, peloton bike, and outdoor bikes, 3 of them in fact, and Crossrope jump ropes, bad ass! I'm 62 and in pretty good shape, I don't want to get hurt either. I think his X3 if you start slow like everything else is safe too. Point is go work out, get off your butt and go do something. Lots of folks won't work out at home and have to go to a gym, it's a social thing. Just get it done, find something you like and do it consistently, I mix it up! 😃👊
Great interview, glad you asked some particular questions. Why don't you have a larger footplate? because there is a 3000 % increase in hip surgeries from doing extra wide squats, i had to laugh out loud, the footplate would have to be huge to warrant that.I was hoping you were going to ask why the cheap metal sharp footplate from the nice hard plastic footplate. You were right in saying it's a distribution problem of not letting people just order the large bar instead of the small one, they would have to take the small bar out of the already packaged unit and send with a larger box, this way you have to buy both if you want the large one. Oh by the way it would not cost $200 a for a little bar like that, once you get the engineering program with all the settings it's basically pushing a button and since it's hollow and i bet the rotational part is not aluminum. A 5 foot 6 inch American made aluminium Olympic bar cost $ 350 and it weighs 11 pounds. No doubt his x3 bar done right is a great product but some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is out of this world. Iv'e read a lot of reviews with both the x3 bar and the Harambe system ,you know, the one you need three hands to use it lol haha and even though the latter one is more expensive , people are choosing that because the owner does not swear and telling people they are f,,,,,,,g idiots, i think it's not professional if you have to swear to get a point across. If i could buy the large bar without the small i would have got the x3 a long time ago, shipping to Australia is quite expansive. Sorry for the rant.
Thanks for all that and I'm with you on most of it. I like the smaller dimensions, but do think the size (both bar and footplate) has more to do with shipping than safety. But again, I don't really know so trying to give John the benefit of the doubt. Same goes for that bar cost.
I don't agree with his calling people names either. Though, he has addressed this at some point and his reason, don't quote me on this, was he doesn't take shit from people any more because he's had death threats and stopped being nice to people that shit talk him.
Thanks for posting this video, Mike. You know, as a vegan, I feel like I should hate this man, but his candidness is so refreshing. He clearly has a ton of knowledge, and rarely bases any of it on what's traditional, conventional, or popular. Seems like a generally great man. Love your channel, too, Mike. I know you do more than band training content, but putting out content on resistance bands as much as you have is great for putting this method truly on the map, when it's largely been discarded these days. It's too good a tool to pass up.
Thanks so much Paul! Regardless of someone's views, I always respect someone who isn't afraid to speak their mind. Of course there's a scale on how people do that.
As an X3 bar user for yrs now I can say that I looked in mirror today and look so muscular and young at 54yrs old and its all from this "simplest" of gym equipment. One set per body part/no warmup sets/carnivore diet....6 days a week and you are set for a great looking physique!
Also...fly movements and crossovers are an amazing chest exercise. When you asked him about handles, that would be first thing a master fitness guru like him would know. I don't like that he calls people "dick", and "retarded". A secure, humble person doesn't need to do any of that. You might remind him next time that 70% of what he owns is made in China.
Great interview. Thanks! So many thoughts: Accreditation; who cares? It works or it doesn’t. It’s like if you’re great at your job. It doesn’t matter if you went to a community college or Harvard. Jaquish’s personality is a little hard to take sometimes so I get the pushback about some of the stuff he says. Weights vs X3: No, not three times better. Is it as good or maybe a little better in less time? I think so, yes. Even though workouts are a lot less time consuming, it is hard going to failure on every set. I am 60 years old and I worked out consistently with weights for the previous 18 months before switching to X3 a couple months ago. My strength continues to increase and my muscle definition is better than ever. One of the biggest muscle size increases I have seen is in my thighs. Those single leg split squats to failure are killers! I’ve experimented with the program. I’m doing upper push, upper pull, and leg days now. Added upright rows to my upper pull day. Currently 3 days on, one day off. So, three workouts every four days. Might eventually go to M, W, F only. Really like the minimalist approach. Great quality equipment. I went all in. Paraforce bands, the long bar, and the squat belt. Some exercises I prefer on the standard bar and some on the long bar. Also bought figure eight grips and weight lifting gloves. Makes it much easier to lift heavier on the deadlift and I need that extra bar length. As far as testosterone replacement, I’m never going to be that guy. I have no issues with my energy. Not trying to look like a superhero. Just muscular and in shape. The type of body that women actually prefer on a man. I did a lot of research before purchasing and your channel helped push me over the edge. In fact, that’s how I came across your content and watch it quite frequently now. Thanks for your honest approach.
Thank you so very much for this detailed comment on your experience and how you discovered the channel. I know these types of comments really help others navigate their purchases and possible experiences using a product.
I guess the argument would be in Europe if your phd did not come from a credited school you can’t use the phd title, but here it’s allowed and he uses it very much to push his narrative I guess that’s why someone would “care”
Pretty cool interview. Not to many people out there will open up about there steroid usage. Poor guy has no choice but to be on it. Also I still think bands are a great method for muscle hypertrophy. Much easier on the joints too, even at higher weights.
Well that is giving him the benefit of the doubt that he did get injured we really don’t know he could be making it all up since it would be a very convenient story to justify his use wouldn’t? I’m leaning towards it’s a story to fit the narrative
I don't see the point attacking the guy, people like doing that on the internet though. I'm not completely sold either. What I would be interested in why does he think that his bands and accessories are better than the cheap chinese copies? I understand that it's made in the US, for many people it's important. But is it more durable? Is the variable resistance different on them? Are they stronger, feel heavier? I've got cheap bands and better ones which are not from china and the later ones feel like a lot heavier. I've read on forums that the x3 bands are among the better ones. So it would justify the price, kind of. But I'm not sold on that idea that bands build the same (or even more) muscle than weights. And I'm telling this because I've trained almost exclusively with bands for like a year or two with higher reps. It's true that it's almost injury free on the joints, but I also don't feel certain muscles working properly. When I switch to free weights I can get very sore for days even though I was training consistently with bands right before. Nobody seems to talk about this but when I do chest press with bands, I don't feel my pecs working, they aren't even sore. I think it's because in the stretches position there's no resistance almost. If I switch to weights, my pecs are sore for many days, but not my triceps which I think are stimulated very well with bands. With compound lifts different muscles join in at different part of the motion. This is my observation, but nobody on the internet is talking about it. And the same can be said about squats. I only feel my hamstrings and glutes but not my quads. When I tried a real squat for the first time after training legs with bands for years at home, I could barely walk after. The soreness was crazy, especially in the quads and calves. However the bands stimulated my glutes more, that's what I felt. So I would like to hear some debate about these things, because to me it looks like bands just can't replace free weights but they can be good as additional excercises, especially if you suffer some joint pain, or you wanna train your triceps and glutes more.
Just discovered your channel and saw this interview, very well done. I have not used the x3, but I’ve been interested in learning about it. I do understand the principles of variable resistance and bands, and believe that they do work. My main issues are: 1. I’ve seen him on Facebook saying things like “most people come to x3 because only genetic outliers have results with weights.” He must know different people than me, because the only people that I know that don’t have positive results with weights are those they don’t work hard. 2. As a parent of an autistic child, calling someone “retarded” immediately loses credibility with me. 3. For me, x3 wouldn’t work for chest because I do all angled grip dumbbell presses or bench with a Swiss bar for neutral grip due to rotator cuff issues. I can’t use a standard grip, even with low weight. 4. I know it was being a salesman, but saying “lifting weights is a waste of time” also loses credibility, as I have had really good results with my home gym of weights. 5. I would actually consider buying an X3 if it was significantly less money. I’ve recently added (with sales, selling some weights, and some gift cards) a rack, trap bar, curl bar, straight bar, Swiss bar, 345 lbs of weights, and spent less money out of pocket than the x3 would cost. Now, I had to shop around, but I’m loving my workouts and having positive results. I’m no fitness model, but it’s clearly working. 6. I am considering making my own on a budget using your tips for travel to family lakehouse and for other trips, and bringing to work if I miss a workout (I’m a PE teacher and sometimes get a quick workout at lunch if I miss a morning workout) 7. I liked the volume vs HIT discussion, I’ve experimented with both. I prefer volume because it’s what I started with in high school, but both work as long as you put the effort in and don’t “just go through the motions” I will say it was nice to see him as more of a real person, and thank you for asking some good questions and not just feeding him meatballs for an hour. I look forward to more of your videos.
Thank you so much for that very detailed comment, it was very much appreciated. Certainly just try one of the budget options I've shown on the channel and I think it'll work for your needs. Blessings to you brother.
he keeps pretending that the little research that has been done somehow override all the decades of research done on weight training... he also blatantly lies about the research findings, or maybe he just doesn't know how to read paper...
this guy with his buzz words "better than any drug that's ever been tried" - "world changing information", "my 2 world changing inventions". Facial glitching, and twitching. Bragging and lying. Waiting for him to say "it will be gone by Easter", "Can we inject bleach". I would give my money to Kahlid over this guy every day of the week. No knock on you Mike, obviously, but the gaslighting is off the charts.
Great video as always Mike. Just a bit confused on the Dr. J testing volume training part. In the previous interview, it appeared Dr. J was trying a low volume approach where he had only done a 3 day on, 4 days off approach and had phenomenal results. I was particularly excited about that one as I've had similar experiences with low volume weeks. In this interview, Dr. J said he began playing around with volume sets on his "off" days but didn't dive into specifics. Did you guys get more into this discussion? What would your advice be, and would that advice change depending on the experience level of the audience?
Everything that he got into with volume was covered here. It mostly sounds like he does his one set to failure per movement per week, then on some off days does some high volume not to fatigue. I personally think doing one solid set to failure is great couple with more sets to sub failure. I definitely don't do his 1 set with these systems. It is had to give an open blank program statement on these, especially considering if this is your only system. I personally would recommend supplementing with some other tools for sake of possible better exercises in a given movement pattern.
I found John casually mentioning he's experimenting with volume training on his off days interesting given that almost in the same breath he was saying his recent gains are purely due to the 1 workout on each body part a week approach. I think there could be some devil in the details there. I personally had started doing some calisthenics during my rest days since switching cause I found the amount of rest, while helpful for building mass, also had some trade offs on my ATP that felt like they would make that approach cause me to actually gain less in the long term.
Yes, what you do on your days off and between workouts I think does matter. Between my 30-45 minutes of resistance training I can be found lifting 65 lb bags of whatever doing work around my property. That added activity must add up to something.
I am interested in what he would have to say about a woman using the X3 as a means to reverse or slow down the effects of osteoporosis. My understanding is that resistance training is beneficial to women suffering from it. Lots of little old ladies like my wife wouldn't be caught dead in a gym, but might find an X3 product with bands geared to woman interesting enough to use.
That’s what OsteoStrong was created to cure is mother’s Osteoporosis. In other interviews, he mentions in that interview that the X3Bar systems was inspired by OsteoStrong but X3Bar was not created for that purpose.
I am saving my $ to purchase the X3. I tried bands but they hurt my hands, feet legs etc. I know that this system is going to be great. It makes sense, and it will be portable. And something i can take with me and work out each day. I am 77, and want to look great by the time i am 80...i can no longrr ride horses, roller blade or cycle as i use to. 😊 Make my body Great again.
Good interview. I like the product. We disagree on many things politically (not everything but a lot). It was not a softball interview and it did address many of the questions about John and X3. Well done.
I’m actually thinking of making a dedicated video on those changes in the future, I’d still definitely use that template. Thank you for picking that up.
Full agreement. I also follow the SBT BBB program and my muscles are getting visibly more defined and larger after 30 days and I have been strength training consistently for 3 years.
I'm doing your BBB right now, leg day, and after one set I'm pooped. I think that I need to keep calf raises until after multiple sets of the other exercises. Any thoughts about staying on one exercise for multiple reps instead of circuit training? You don't have to respond until your update. You advocate for trying different things so I will try different combinations and see how that feels. I don't think that the Universe will collapse just because I changed my exercise programing.
Awesome video, Mike. Looking forward to your galvanized pipe video. Will probably use that to see how I like that type of workout and then maybe save up for an X3.
Pipe - Me too! Mike is so creative. I was thinking about band slippage on the pipe if the bands are positioned wider than your base plate/feet/back or whatever is your band support. Or even just to keep the band in place as you get into the starting position. If this is a problem, you could use a number of pairs of shaft collars with set screws on the pipe to contain the band between two shaft collars or between a shaft collar and an end cap. You could have 6 shaft collars that would define 3 band locations on each end of the bar. Or just have more than one bar/pipe of different lengths. Also, if you use 1 inch pipe, you could use standard barbell spring clips or quick release locking collars in place of the shaft collars for infinite adjustability. Now you can set the starting band tension by simply adjusting the quick release locking collar distance. You would maybe only need to move one collar as the bar tension will be self centering and the asymmetry of the pipe weight would be negligible compared to the band tension. Same for shaft collars; just have one on one end and multiples on the other end. Also black or brass pipe if galvanized is not your style. The pipe bar would position the band attachment end 90 degrees from what the other bars are doing if that makes a difference on the band pull. The band tension may not be consistent across the band width (more tension on the outer edge of the band than on the inner edge) at least at the attachment if the bands are tensioned away from 90 degrees from the pipe. That would likely put a limit on how long the pipe bar can be. No, I am not going to stake a patent claim 🤣. That's my contribution to the community.
@@outtrigger Mike is going to provide some details in a future video. What part specifically? Adding shaft collars to a pipe that has threaded ends for receiving pipe end caps? Or the way the band drapes over the pipe? The regular band bars like X3 hold the bands where the band width is perpendicular to the bar, but if you drape the band over the pipe end, the width of the band is parallel to the pipe and has the tendency to slip towards the center if spread farther apart than the width of the board/feet/back or whatever you use as the base.
Who gives a shit about the school’s accreditation if the student invents the next best thing? How many people go to accredited schools and are never heard from again???
Problem is I have is his meat loving stance. Christopher Gardner pretty much debunks what we have been convinced about protein. I use X3 and it has been a good deal, but I don't listen to the protein extremists because the real nutritionists that have been studying it for years like Gardner use science to make their findings.
Two valid uses for bands: 1/Light-medium bands for pre-posing high-rep pumps, w/no intent to build strength/mass. 2/Pull-up assistance if too weak/heavy to pull unassisted for reps: The band begins fully stretched/highest tension, where assistance's most needed. The subject takes over as the band loses tension, & their limbs' leverage advantage kicks-in.
|i'm the nicest guy" but no tolerance for those who disagree with you and back things up ah john? yes you want to make money lots of it its the most important thing to you, and thinking you are a marvel character, but when someone has to constantly state i'm a nice guy after tearing others ot shreds either in interviews comments or other wise, maybe just maybe one should actually know the meaning of what a nice guy actually is.
ppl acuse him of snake oil.. As a man from Portugal an who did an experience working out 3 months just with bands, i assure to you that bands are superior. He is right!! Of course he want to sell his products, but about the bands it´s totally true. Sorry if my english it´s not perfect. But ppl, think about it. You just have to get used to it. Ah and i have 40 and i workout since 15 yo so i know what i am talking about
All this shows me is that this dude will do, or say, anything to make more money. Used to say on his fb he was on AT LEAST test, and he'd lie and say no no, all X3. Then block me, cause he loves to answer the hard questions.
Do you know how a school becomes accredited? It takes enrolled students in order to make it an accredited school. This was the story for my brother in law who went to a school that wasn’t accredited, which was a school that was put together by professionals in the field. My brother in law was one of the best doctors in state in only a couple of years. He’s always been an intelligent student, but an uncredited school, now that’s accredited, didn’t keep him from being one of the best.
@@johndim11Who cares if a vendor is misrepresenting their training, education, expertise at the foundation of the product he’s hawking? : Any intelligent consumer.
John has said that vegetables are poison & carbs are killers!!!??? REALLY JOHN???!!! LMFAO!!! If people want to pay this guy A LOT of money for something they can make themselves for dollars/pennies from the local hardware store sobeit, but I sure as hell wouldn't.
I'm still trying to figure out the injury path for a longer bar or bigger base plate using proper exercise form. Maybe for beginners you have to keep it simple and "fail safe" from improper form, but I assumed that he also wanted the more advanced customer who knows proper form. I currently use three bar lengths and my board has two widths which allows tension adjustability with my 41 inch bands. Also I'm not sure why a 32 or 38 inch band is so much more technically challenging to make than the 41 inch, but like he said, 41 inch bands are a commodity at this point. There he goes again about his patents on his very specific bar design but implies it covers all band-attach resistance bars. His bar design is excellent and of the highest quality and will likely last "forever", unless there is a reason to have independently rotating band attachments which his does not.
no need to regret it, I made my own x3 for 1/10th the price, tried full programme HARD ,all out, trying for more reps everytime, for 4 weeks, no gains in size or strength! if you've done weights etc before, well, probably not gonna get "3 times better results than with weights"! that statement alone means he must be eerrrrrrrr........ bending the truth a bit? ! :)
Dr. J is the real deal. I learned so much about variable resistance from him that helped me immensely in my strength training journey as a beginner. And thank you Mike for making these great videos.💪
