The movie is largely fictional, but the reality is actually more moving. They separated after a few years of marriage due to the stress his illness caused. She kept supporting him though and they lived in the same house. Much later they remarried

I related to the film since I struggle with my disabilities, like autism, asthma, and scoliosis. I can walk, but it hurts my back, so I minimize movement as much as possible. Autism, I struggled with reading and writing because I was a visual learner, and I still do. I had to constantly prove that I was smart enough not to be in Special Ed, so it was a lot of time arguing and doing homework. I suffer from asthma, where I have to spit out white mucus or deal with it through medication. Finally, I might suffer from a minor form of schizophrenia to the point I do take medication for it, mostly because I'm paranoid about passing college. I hear voices calling me a psychopath or encouraging me to hurt others, but I say no to it to help cope.

What always strikes me about exceptionally intelligent people is the degree of humility they have. You can just see it when they speak and how they compose themselves. They live humbleness. It almost seems to get to the point that it handicaps them.

Schizophrenia is terrible illness I supported my wife for forty years with this awful illness ,with little or no support while working as electrical engineer ,it’s really terrible illness not only for a the unfortunate person who had it ,but the family and every one around ,and the misunderstanding and misconception of the people around ,and the lack of support for carer .

The movie " A Beautiful Mind " , is as best told by John himself . My understanding is between HIM and his wife they recounted the most urgent of rememberances of episodes for the movie . John stated that Hollywood's elaboration on screen was accepted by him and his wife . He stated after year's with his mental illness he felt to really get the message on screen were by the actual events that really stood out the Most ! His wife was reluctant at first but also knew that John story could help other understanding mental illness doesn't STOP a person's life . It complicates certain happenings . She also said John love for her taught her that ! Now their son John inheritance of the Same mental illness has proven yes John is a mathematical genius but he fights the illness !!! With John and his wife both gone . I hope they're son will be okay. .

The movie, with a few exceptions, is pretty much fabricated for the most part, by Hollywood. John himself said after he watched the movie "that's not me".
@jayyycrawford23
@jayyycrawford23 2 года назад
Yes a lot of it was fabricated especially the dates they mention in the film. He also didn’t see people with his illness, he just heard voices. If i could say one thing the movie got right based off research is that the “turning point” when hr start ignoring the 3 imaginary people was true but the real John just ignored the voices that was in his head.

Someone mentioned today that he could be a contender for Satoshi Nakamoto. I didn't know much about him but I see game theory & cryptography were in his area of study. He didn't go into his theories on money here much, but this interview was still 4 years before the bitcoin white paper so still plenty of time to develop them. I'll admit, I can't really fathom why Satoshi said he was "busy with other things" and turned over the admin of bitcoin core to others. I've always imagined him as a young person. But what if he wasnt young. What if he really did have lots of other interests pulling at him or other life challenges (as in his mental health) and was old enough not to care about the future value of his million bitcoins but instead truly did give bitcoin as a gift to the world. It could have been him...

My ears perked up when I heard Dr. Nash say, " Of course the American education system is very inefficient in many ways compared to other countries -- Europe and Japan.". Truer words were never spoken! I wish our government would pay attention and stop working hard to dumb down the students. The government is certainly aware our education system is failing miserably. I don't know how many articles have been written on "The Dumbing- Down of Education in America."in
