Thank you for doing these videos. I recently saw your PTSlaveD video from 2008 in London. Before that I had never heard of you. I am now watching your videos and continuing to process your content. I am learning and listening. I am white and raising my black son. I have learned a lot about trauma as it relates to early childhood trauma (complex developmental trauma) and totally changed the way I parent in order to walk with him on his journey of hope and healing. I want to continue to expand my awareness and actions. I am one of those people that use to think being "nice" was enough. Now I realize it's not. I want to be part of the solution, and am learning what that means for myself, my family and the people who I can influence. Like she said, "There is too much at stake."

I’m so elated to watch the recent upload of Dr Joy Degruy and amazing to listen to two generations of beautiful black educators. I have friends from the continent that want to know if Dr Joy will ever write about Post Traumatic Colonialism.

Some cases do not think they can heal. Assisting clients in the community are not easy, while more cases are steady entering for needs including the Courts, and most can not afford the costly assistance

Historically Bermuda's legacy is so different and really unique but the same simultaneously although it is still a colony of England. I believe in threatening the object as opposed to the person as well. But I had a chick in my doctors office really raise her voice at me. Was asked to fill out a survey. I added a 3 page letter to that survey that was not inflammatory. But was concerned what a health care professional could do to me down the line if I ever became ill and dependent. I answered the (check box) survey and mailed it. How could I have better handled that?
In my opinion, white people are in such denial, I don’t foresee them willing to except the wrongs of their past as well as ours and indigenous people. I just hope my children will have a more peaceful life than I have. Only 51yrs old, very young , but this racism is so throughly intrenched in the core of this society, I just don’t see it happening.
