I'm going to have to try these. I've tried Birkenstocks (the Arizona) and am one of those people who think they are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned.
I have flat, narrow feet. I have always had birks (because they offer narrow, soft footbeds) and love them! Do you have any thoughts on how this could compare in regards to the Carlson Mule? I love the look of them SO much but I worry they will still be too wide and my feet will hurt. For reference, I tend to stick to not only birks but crocs since they work with my feet and pain/comfort issues I tend to experience! It’s ok if you don’t really have an opinion, just trying to get someone else’s prospective. Hope to hear from you soon :)
Wow this is actually a very great question and thank you for contextualizing your situation for me! The shoes are definitely narrow. In fact I believe it’s more narrow than the Birkenstocks. So I don’t think you have to worry about the wideness of the shoes. The thing you have to worry about is the sole of the shoe and if it hurts you. Sometimes I feel discomfort towards the heel area if I’m using the Carlson’s for too long but when I use my Birkenstock clogs for an ample amount of time, my whole feet hurts, to the point where i can’t walk. So I say if you can, try it on in a store and walk around and see if it bothers you! Or even buying the shoe and returning it if it doesn’t work out. If I had to compare, comfort level to me is better than the Birkenstocks but definitely not better than crocs. The shoes are better looking than both crocs and Birkenstocks in my opinion!
Won't be mean at all, anyone/everyone is welcomed here! I think it's all preference! 1 - I have skinnier legs so have long socks kind of hides the fact that they're skinny. I'm like borderline chicken legs haha 2 - I don't want to take them off only to be showing off my feet (Not saying that i have ugly feet but i'm just not a fan of feet, haha) 3 - I feel like sweat will spread to the shoe more easily thus making it more "smelly"
