So God is Christian? And this sit down isn’t a suppose to be a sermon it’s suppose to talk about the black churches role in the liberation of our people and those oppressed that’s a conversation that needs to have because historically that’s what we’ve done but since King died the black church has gone dark and silent.

Do you believe the "dark and silence" of the black church (which I can somewhat agree, but for different reasons than yours) is because of Dr Kings absence, or leaving Jesus at the door knocking? The knob is on the inside of the door, and those who came to open the door were like Rhoda. Surprised, but left the knocker outside. We pray for Christ to come; but when He does come, we were too busy having a rally inside, instead of worship. Surely there is the need for the activist, but not preaching another gospel. God of the Bible , is kind and merciful, slow to anger , but HE, will eventually punish sin. Saves us through his Son , Jesus who is the blessed Christ, and HE commands all men everywhere to change from our will to his

But Jesus was political

Jesus would have mentioned Franklin Graham and Trump had they been around during his time, I think you are stuck in the early century if the gospel can not be made relevant for contemporary time then the gospel has no value.

Jesus was a social activist himself, and God itself was consumed nearly with justice.

I think you are overthinking this. When he talks about the black church he's not talking about an institution he's talking about the collective of black people who practice Christianity. They never asked to be excluded from the church, but white folks drew the lines and put them on the outside of that line

Most assuredly you don't know who Michael Eric Dyson is!!! That's #1 Google would be your best friend for that. 2ndly Based on your comment, I'm not so sure you understand Scripture. For If You Did, You would know that Jesus WHOLE Ministry was about Justice and Changing your thought process from the mess you have been taught....Like All of our leaders, Jesus too, was killed, because he was doing JUSTICE Work!!!

Did you hear him say we need to stand up and represent the gospel which is also representing a political construct of justice, freedom and democracy

@@c.holman739 Michael Eric Dyson is a political and social justice activist, not a preacher. You can not change the heart of men (me, you no, no one) with his message. The gospel changes people from the inside out. What he's looking for will never happen the way he is going about it.

Many renowned Pastors tell you to " Read the Bible and pray after my sermons because I can be wrong." That theory you should apply to anybody preaching or talking Bible. Dyson doesn't respect the Bible. Be careful who you listen to.
