It is a misconception that kids are just smaller versions of adults. Children and adults are not the same and not treated the same. A pediatric podiatrist is trained specifically in how to identify and treat children's foot conditions.

Hello Riya Samad, The type of heel pain you are describing is usually an indication of Sever's disease, a very common foot condition affecting children and teenagers that is caused by a "growth spurt" in the heel bone (growing faster than the surrounding muscles and tendons). Although we can't give an official diagnosis without seeing you at our office, I can provide some resources that might help: Common causes of heel pain in children: pediatricfootankle.com/foot-conditions/pediatric-heel-pain/ Sever's Disease: pediatricfootankle.com/foot-conditions/severs-disease/ How to identify Sever's disease: mikkidevice.com/how-to-diagnose-severs-disease/ At home Sever's disease treatment: mikkidevice.com/ Hope that helps! - Pediatric Foot & Ankle
