Dr Nicola Volpe studied in Italy and United Kingdom to become Ob Gyn consultant and get the Diploma in Fetal Medicine from the Fetal Medicine Foundation. From 2013 he is working at the University Hospital of Parma, serving also as temporary professor within the Ob-Gyn Specialty training program, Midwifery School, School of Nursing and for the II level Master Degree in “Advanced fetal echocardiography and neurosonography”, for the same hospital/university. Since 2021 he is the head of the fetal medicine unit of the Parma University Hospital. He is member of the International Academy of Perinatal Medicine, and part of the Board of the World Association of Perinatal Medicine, as Deputy-Secretary. Since 2020 he is Social Media Editor of the Journal of Perinatal Medicine, and since 2021 he is Editor in Chief of the Perinatal Journal. For the years 2021-2023, he is Vice-President of the Italian Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
