Dr AM Obote made this speech in 1984 in Gulu when the then President of Zambia Dr Kenneth Kaunda visited Uganda on a state visit and to participate in celebrating the Uganda Independence day. On This day, he named that ground on which the function was held, 'Kaunda Ground'. This was also the day the famous Kaunda Ground was named so.
