@@pincewill1 ever since you introduce me to Orlando growing up together, i have never stop listening to his Songs. These songs brings back fantastic memories of our childhood. Thank you so much my big brother. I am always proud to call you my beloved brother .
Yoruba has produced several great musicians. What a great people!!!! Dr Olando is just one of them. Your music will remain for life baba kennery. Remain resting in the bossom of our Lord baba
Anytime or day, I listen or play this song, tears comes out my eyes, and later I do thank God, because if things did not change for good, I don't know where my life would have be now. This music is a definition of life.
I used to listen to Dr Olando' s music each time I travel home in December those days far back in in 80s at age of 25yrs till now at 76yrs age, it still same, I love it. from Akoko Epinmi in Ondo state
Tears rolled down my eyes.....while listening to this track. It made me remember lots of past events in my life.......my late Uncle Olufon of Ifon; Late Oba Adegbera Odogiyon ( RIP). Hnmmmmm........ Late Dr Orlando Owoh, your legacy lives on.(RIP). This is REAL music.
Listening to men like this reminds me of what Nigerian music industry has lost. These men sang but had little financial success to show for it. But their legacies (music-wise) endure.
I disagree with you that they had little financial success. If you were in the industry you will know about their financial success and what they achieved.
Would you compare what Orlando made throughout his career with what Davido or Wizkid have made in a shortwhile. So, Clement Oloyede is right. Its important that their legacy and intellectual property is protected. It has the potential to make more money in their death than when alive. Classics becomes more valuable as time passes.
I remember on that fateful day around November 2008 when I heard on radio that baba gave up the ghost,it was as if I lost my family member, that's how much I love Baba kennery,Sleep on
"Opo lonse big man lode ise owo won koseeri" meaning " many are doing big men in the society whose their work cannot be proud of" sleep on baba.. I will forever be listening to your music.
Anytime I listen to the song 🤣I forgot things in my front and my side I became cool and serious..😐 is Good to listen to 198th song 🙊👨🎤he make sense jor💋💋
His voice is so amazing!!! He makes me miss my late parents so much. My dad calls him "ganja' meaning marijuana.😂 Told me stories of how he was jailed for use and possession of Marijuana.
The ladies were beautiful in their dancing attire unlike these days, we have tossed our morality to the wind. If our ladies ain't half naked, we haven't shot a good music video. I pray we find what we have lost.
Can any of our youth sing like this these people are the real singer wow what a lovely voice may soul continue rest in the bossom of thy lord i remember when i was with my grant parents they love this man. Rest in perfect peace mr Olando owoh.

Listening to this, one of his phrases reminds me that their generation changed Nigerian attitude towards musicians; musicians hitherto were viewed as beggars. Their attitude to providing good rhythm, informative words, melodious sounds that cut across ethnic groups and social classes lifted souls, gave Nigeria good image across the globe and added value to lives. I miss Oliver de Coque as well. RIP Orlando Owoh. You guys should greet Bob Marley for us.
2023 and still dey gbadun my Orlando.. Na my legacy... One of the things my great late Dad left for me... One day my sons will listen to and enjoy Baba Keneri.

I love Dr Orlando Owoh like mad I hear his music all day and night while sleeping in my hostel even all my friends called me baba Owoh I’m in love with his music and African keneries beat international! 🎼🔥
All these great Artists should have never lack any financial burden in their lifetimes, but we never appreciate them and their works.. Despite leaving half of my life away from Nigeria, I never takes this type of music for granted because they gave me that sense of belonging and because of that, am feeling grateful and proud of my identity.. Rest Well 💐💐
@Babatundey, am like you bro. I live over half of my life in western world, Dr. Orlando Owoh (RIP) remains my best musician of all time. I think one of the reasons our older artists get broke financially in their olden days is their love for many women, and as it is in our culture; many children. Women cost money sir. Am sure our forefathers or mothers that named wife IYA OWO have their reasons. My delight is that most of our youths, (well in the western nations) are more focus than my generations and the people before me. I haven't been to Nigeria in 11 years, and just 3 times in 31 years. I hope our younger men learn from their fathers' mistakes and use their time and money more wisely.
it reminds me of my childhood when the whole family are together for the Xmas and New year.. My dad will wake every body up with a nice n slow music from Dr Orlando ....Orlando was my Dad favourite, we all love BABA ORLANDO....Gone are the old good music...
Rest on Dr Orlando Owo. You were amongst my favourite musicians as a kid. Your lyrics are ageless. I particularly love your: Experience, E Get As E Be, Iyawo Olele, Ma Wo Mi Roro and so on.

Before meeting Baba one on one in the early 80s at his Agege residence, I thought he was a spirit as his songs are soul-moving and encapsulating, Farewell Baba.
