Sir Orlando Owoh i wish money can bring your soul back to life. I will single handedly be responsible for bringing you back 😥😥😥 I love your song like crazy! I'm an Igbo guy but i choose to play your song whenever I'm in a sober mood, your songs add more life to my life. I will love you and your song even in my next world. Rest on Daddy !! Oduduwa's best singer !!!
I can't forget the first day I heard this master class while in a cab heading to mile 2 Lagos Nigeria. I was just there listening as the driver was playing it on a low tone and the song awakened something inside me and I really messed myself with tears running down from my eyes uncontrollably. Sincere that day, it has been my music of the moment. May Baba's soul continue to rest in peace. As an Igbo guy. I hold Dr Orlando in high Esteem. Will always love him.
Listening to it right, 2:25am, it brought tears to my eyes, cos I remember when I was a young boy, I am now 58 years old I love this man but I never met him, but love his music tracks. Rest on in peace papa
I am a woman pastor but Orlando remains my greatest musician. I use his musical stories to illustrate my sermons to teach certain virtues. Rest on in peace Sir, Baba Oladipupo Orlando Mi life!!!!
A genius beyond his time, he was a musical wizard. Mr. Orlando Owoh was a self-taught guitarist and a multi-musical instrumentalist, listening to his music reminds me of the dignity of Yoruba language, the ingenuity of our people and the cultural superiority of the Yoruba people, our innovative spirits and the domination of the Yoruba influence all over the world. The song reminds me of my early childhood in Nigeria. It has intrinsic beauty, poetic and allegoric sonnets of the Yoruba Language. Albeit, the influence of Yoruba customs and traditions exist in Britain, the Carribean Islands, in the Spanish Colonies, South and North America, so prevalent in black America culture.
Gbayi!!! Well said. Am sure he's smiling down at you right now. Am looking for this track, I don't know how it's titled but it starts out as 'Jaiye ori e kosi ma muti eni toti ku ki ma nsoro eni to wa laye lo nsako….' If you have it please contact me. Facebook: Adedapo Adetokunbo Adesesan. Blessings.
Even in 2020, Dr. Orlando's voice still resonates! Good music never dies! Yoruba music legends preach with their songs! They emphasize the importance of living a good life so as to leave a good legacy! The present situation of the country shows how lost Nigeria is. Bandits, Herdsmen, Boko Haram terrorising Nigerians daily! How did we come to this? Materialism and religious fanaticism! Is this the kind of country we are leaving for our children? Yoruba e se rere oooo
@@bamideleadejala1759 I respect Orlando a lot as with any other classic musician and even fela who is the greatest musician out of Nigeria or Michael jackson or Elvis Presley who is the greatest ever musician lived are guys and I will refer to them as guys. You very myopic and uneducated and education is surely not a scam . 44 people love my comment and even the owner of the video because the message in the comment commands respect and love for Orlando. I know all his songs by heart and you part of the backwardness emanating out of Nigeria and over sabi is what will kill u there . Prof sir Dr his excellency all that you don’t take out of the heart and we all who we are so for example you adejala and that’s who u are you. Period and take your frustrations elsewhere . Do you even know the meaning of immortalized . Olodo
My favourite Yoruba musical icon. Brings back memories of those good old days back then in Ore, Ile-Oluji, Owo, Akure, Ondo (Ekimogun) in Ondo state. If u don't understand his lyrics, pelee is your name. Sun ree o Baba Kennery!
The music makes me to think of home always. I'm so proud to be an Afican, Yoruba especially where culture is deep rooted. Thanks chief dr Orlando Owoh.. Continue to rest in the bosom of the almighty God. Your music lives beyond you papa.
This makes me realize, how important our natives language or culture of our ancestors. Born in Abidjan both parents from Ejigbo. Currently leave in Boston MASSACHUSETTS. There's a time in Abidjan where I couldn't speak natives language. But time has changed, my favorite track of legend is logba logba, and esé ré ré. Truth son of Africa.
am I the only one feeling the bassline And the bata drum interlude of this classic? as a medical student all I can say Dr. Orlando owoh is the original Doctor.
you better go to church because Baba himself realized the importance of Church...… go listen to Okan mi yin Oba orun by J baba...… don't get it twisted
ADEBAYO ADEFOLAJU Nigeria has more churches than any other nation on the planet...but for what...churches were planted here by colonizers and enslavers and although we are still economically colonized and mentally enslaved we continue suffering and smiling
@@proverbalizer Church has nothing to do with national economic prosperity. Church and earthly prosperity is man made not the primary focus of the scriptures, rather it's secondary. It's about your soul and God. Simple!
John dont be deceived. this song does not feed your spirit man it can replace the word of God and atmosphere of Gods presence which you enjoyed in church. Please get u[p early tomorrow and go to CHURCH.Thanks
EPIC! I always go back to great tracks like this to remind me of the good ol' good songs from home. I grew up on Orlando Owoh, Osita, Oriental Brothers, Rex Jim Lawson, Ebenezer, Victor Olaiya, Barrister, Bala Mila and the likes. Thanks for sharing this great track. Brings back blessed memories. Hilife music for Life
I love ur rich and versatile taste for authentic Nigerian highlife musicians and their legendary works. Music in my opinion is the greatest therapy God gave mortals
Bros. May you continue to rest in peace, and you will always be in my heart till l die. Your music is my favorite for as long as l will live on this planet. I could remember l kept some money meant for my traveling abroad in my pocket. To cut the story short, N3,000k was taking out of the money 😊. You know the worth of Naira that time was worthy. l decided to travel from Lagos via lbadan to Akure to meet a native doctor that will curse on whoever stole the money. Bicus l got to lbadan late l decided to keep a night at Mokola Roundabout hotel. Unknown to me Orlando was there to perform the "weekend jump" l kept the night to watch his show till day brake and forgot about stolen money and went back to Lagos, and forgot my sorrows l.was very overwhelmed with his music. Till now, if I am angry and hear his music, the rest is history.Keep on sleeping on till ojo ajinde.
Songs like this bring back the memories of my precious dad....continue to rest in peace dad. I love you so much, I regret not telling you that everyday while you were here.
I will always appreciate my Dad for introducing me to the likes of Dr. Orlando as a child. It makes me remember the fond memories of we dancing years after his departure.
Way back ,when music was played by the Masters...you see the uniqueness and harmony in instrumentations.. perfectly delivered...May the of Dr . Orlando Owoh continue to rest in peace... music at this was a masterpiece...our young musicians should borrow a leaf from this concept...well done brother Orlando Owoh....rest in peace brotherly...
This song is one of favourite , talk about lessons in morality with fantastic melody. Takes me back to my childhood in Lagos in the 70s. Rest in Peace Doctor O.
The real songs have all gone, what we have now are nonsense. The legend have gone to the World beyond, you will always be remembered. " kenery music ".

It just never gets old for me. Anytime I click on play, I just get refreshed of old times. As a young boy, getting attached and constantly listening to evergreen songs like Dr Orlando and co, it made my friends wonder if I am alright. 😁😁 Even my dad that made me love the songs is not a fan like I am. Such inspiring songs, RESPECT sir !!✌
Nostalgia, kegite shrine at Ilya du SPED after boys don dey red, calmly seated down, with occasional "echo" "rede rede ,rede, rede,rede......hmmm,'ibon ni awon ojo'" gone are the days.
A couple of the Manchester United players held up the Palestine flag after their match, wanted to have a look.... delightfully I mistyped ‘Pogba’ as ‘Logba’ 😁 Yup da banger...
It was this particular record that endeared him to me.... I so much love the story of the two wives. ... very typical of an average YORUBA polygamous family where the wives competes for the attention and resources of the same husband...
His songs always cooling my mind whenever am upset......Baba's songs thought me and makes me to realize the reality of life and the very reasons why we live herein
No Place like home, Let there be thousands lights on the streets in a foreign land, Home is still Home, It's not the Land.... IT IS THE PEOPLE #Top Notch
