Victims and survivors of Jeffrey Dahmer say they want people to see him for who he really was -- not the glamorized TV version. See a never-before-aired interview with Dahmer’s father and stepmother that sheds light on the monster behind the man. They provide chilling details about his bizarre childhood behaviors. Plus, the Netflix series Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story pushed a decades-old story into today’s spotlight, some say giving it a 2022 “pop culture moment.” After the series debuted, Dahmer’s infamous glasses went up for sale for $150,000, and people dressed up as the notorious serial killer for Halloween. Has our culture’s obsession with true crime desensitized us?
Check out Part 2 of Dr. Phil's Interview with Jeffrey Dahmer's Father here:

Animal cruelty from a young age is a tell-tale warning of pending psychopathy
@skeetyeet3928
@skeetyeet3928 4 месяца назад
i was looking for a comment to reply this to, every child has certain ways they learn to comfort themselves with the uncomfortable so when you let your child collect animal viscera, his psychology is subject to trauma a child can’t simply comprehend, and for him to develop sexual attraction for organs and mutilation, his mother leaving was simply a catalyst to all of this, with no motherly connection freud would have had a field day with the reason this man chose to commit such vile atrocities.

@@SaraMKay Research has revealed that 25 percent of aggressive inmates had committed multiple acts of animal abuse as children. Forty-five percent of school shooters had histories of alleged animal cruelty, and 21 percent of serial murderers admitted to childhood animal abuse. I made a point earlier that Biology Rules and this is probably more true with serial killers. And maybe head trauma too plays a role. "British child psychiatrist Stephen Scott, an expert in childhood and adolescent antisocial behavior, explains that “unlike regular antisocial behavior, serial killers seem to be born rather than made, with a Heritability of 80 percent of the characteristics being due to genes, whereas with ordinary antisocial and later criminal behavior, it is only 30 percent.”

I feel terrible for these people. They can never get away from the story of their son. You know even after they found out a piece of them had to still love him. Or at least what he once was. Most of us are guilty of having a fascination with the macabre. But the price of that fascination is that these innocent people have their lives tainted with blood and evil forever.

Until Lionel passes on, Jeffery’s actions will haunt him and the story will keep on going. I feel as if all the trauma Lionel has endured, he will never be fully at peace on this earth.

His license was suspended in Texas, he had an inappropriate relationship with a client. Hes basically a college trained, but unlicensed, psychiatrist.

I feel for this family. Can not imagine what they’ve been through. I read a military criminal interrogator’s take on a serial killer. Nature vs. nurture? He said a person is born with it. I’m sure some experiences in life can alter a personality. But a serial killer of this magnitude is a born killer.

I don't believe his parents were loving and were there for him. I believe this could have been stopped or prevented. Extreme loneliness and neglect.. this is what happens or what could happen. Parents love your children, listen to them, and be there for them

Listening/hearing his father peacefully discussing his son's actions as a kid was like he shrugged it off like 'boys enjoy gross stuff'. By not forcing his son into therapy, he was only encouraging things to get worse. His father actually played a large part in Jeffrey s future psychopathic actions!

Dont blame it on his parents. His parents were loving of their kids they just had marital issues and struggled to give the attention the kids needed, they didnt purposefuly leave him lonley. This happens to half the kids on the planet, they dont turn into psycho cannibals.

It’s horrible when any parent isn’t loving and is neglectful. However, there’s plenty of parents who are like that yet their child doesn’t turn out a perverted serial killer. It produces a screwed up individual, but it certainly doesn’t make them a serial killer.

Some people have horrid upbringings but they don’t turn into serial killers. Some people have great upbringings and do horrible things. Granted his parents weren’t the best but ultimately I think it depends on the individual.

his father is also part of the reason why Jeffrey turned out like that!
