I could have never dreamed back in 1980 we’d be able to communicate with our childhood heroes like this in the future. But here we are and do. At least with the ones that turned out to be as cool as we thought they were back then👍

Hey John, Thanks for the Smoky the Bear comments. I live behind that big hill that you pointed and Friday of last week. We had an arson brush fire in the park that almost took off all the way to Malibu. Thankfully for the fast response from local Fire and the helicopters.

I was fortunate enough to travel there and see Paramount Ranch the spring of the year prior to the fire. It was a magical place. I knew some of the history before going there, especially Dr. Quinn, but I had no idea that Herbie the Love bug was shot at the track or about James Dean. Thank you for sharing your knowledge about this special place. Its burning is such a shame.

I love Dr Quinn. I've watched the series so many times. I feel like rewatching now. Everytime I see the cast in another tv show or movie I get so happy.

I have to say it's sad to see that place that is no more. Do to someone and their inability to think before they act that cause a loss of TV, and movie history.

I remember watching Dr Quinn when I was a kid every Saturday night it was on CBS at 8pm. I used to watch walker Texas ranger after it. Back in the 90s CBS had some nice family dramas. They also had touched by an angel and promised land and christy. All good positive family dramas that portrayed faith and family and America in a positive way
John, Thanks for sharing all this stuff. I had a fire under my 65 Mustang in my garage a few months ago. Fire is a scarey thing. That happened just after I was diagnosed with cancer. I’m legally blind so don’t drive the car, but I was always interested in cars from watching the Dukes. I remember you in “Eddie Macon’s Run” years ago with Kirk Douglas. Good movie.
I hope they do the reboot, rebuild the town. pay tribute to Orson Bean in it and bring you back as Sheriff. The show got even cooler when you starred in it. Thanks for showing us this and for saying what you did.

On the bright side the church was still there. Nice video of nostalgia. Maybe they will recreate it. Once I went to see the house I spent my first 5 years in and it was gone. The old pump was all that remained. Bittersweet memories.
