I'm curious... how do you personally feel that the balancing of the stat axises is handled in Ring Racers? it feels to me like the devs really wanted heavy acceleration characters to have a shot and not be a meme like they are in SRB2Kart.
I feel like it’s in a decent state atm. Heavy acceleration characters are great with rings and drift boosts, as well as handling uphill sections with relative ease. I’d say they’re pretty good. There’s a reason eggman is my 2nd most used character.
Well it’s his speed combined with his weight that makes him feel bad to play at times imo. He hardly gets speed from ring, he struggles to get uphill, And the main way of going fast with mecha sonic (in my opinion) is to utilize speed pads and sliptiding. Though it’s too early to say his stats are bad.
Heavier characters tend to lose momentum very easily while drifting, to compensate for their ease in accumulating boost. This tends to be extremely difficult to master if you don't know exactly when to drift in a corner. If this is a problem for you, give preference to lighter characters.
There are 9 speed clasees as well, and a character's placement the graph indicates how they will drive. Tails for instance is on the top left of the graph, which means he will be lightweight and have great acceleration but low top speed.
It’s an effect for the sliptide boost. Letting go of drift while boosting (without a drift boost charged) will allow for incredibly tight turns, and will supply an additional boost after the turn.
@@zefizzypop5020 Heck is it? Idk I'm willing to know even if it requires something insanely ridiculous (since i have played as him using the chaos zero 64 password for online races before and he's been a blast)
@@jnebby396 spoiler warning..... You have to come in first place with knuckles on the master difficulty ( i believe the track has to be sky sanctuary). To get master mode though you have to collect all the chaos emeralds which is... rough lmao
