@@luigimanbrunoknuckles5953 no, the entire cast of this game showed up in the show at one point, but most of them are very rare characters that only appear in afew episodes
Fun fact: this game is part of a bigger series called puyo-puyo or puyo-puyo pop. It is very popular in japan and has a game on the switch called puyo-puyo tetris (though you probably already know this) the song that plays while they show the cast is in puyo-puyo tetris Edit: just learned that there is another popular game in the puyo puyo series called kirby's avalanche
Trust me that i knew the franchise, but didnt expected it to come THAT far Unrelated but when i first saw the main character Arle Nadja(in her compile design, have to say),well, will not sound out of place,but... -i had an erection- It resulted very difficult to recognize with that orange "hair dye" and that really different outfit she has on modern games
This was such an addictive game. My high score has only been to level nine. I like how you're actually applying strategy in your games. I'm an opportunist and just try to match whatever. So that was probably my bane in later levels. Edit: Wow, only 19 people worked on this game. That's a real throwback compared to some video games these days having over a thousand.
+Rosemary Margaret (Sprocket22) It's more funny than Tetris and I know the robots who are in The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog (my favourite cartoon) especially Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts.
@@SuperflyGaming reading the comment and the reply made me feel old, the comment made me feel old, and then the reply was just the cherry on top making me feel even older lol
I'm playing this game online right now and I've managed to get past the first two bosses, but I keep screwing up on the third one. I managed to make him screw up a fair few times but then I screwed up as well so I still lost.
Love this game but it pisses you off. You think you have them and the game cheats you out of a victory. The most combos I've ever got was 13 max. Good fun memories from the the early 1990s, I still play this to this day. :)
I have to give you credit for the combo at 12:05. I thought you were done for, but then suddenly you pulled of a triple combo. Well played. It's a shame you didn't win that round, you deserved it based on that alone
I played this game in the Ultimate Genesis Collection. Really struggled with the last few stages but i was able to beat it & got the platinum as a result.
and scratch said chicken puns!! he said scratching (because he is called scratch), and worm bait then he said cross the road and he then said by fair means or FOWL!! sorry about the 4 post :P
@@SuperflyGaming i still get anxiety thinking about his gleeful winning face 😂😂😂 ugh. never got to grounder. the gary busey tnt character never allowed it so i live vicariously through the videos of my gaming peers lol.
@@chriskun_10 i remember every time i made it to Dr Robotnik himself at the very end of the game i would just stay stuck there and never win, cause the beans would drop far too fast for my tiny brain to keep up with, and then my nephew plays it and is a complete show-off beating Dr R on the first try lol
+C. Syde65 Its really cool, the best thing about the game is the whole bean dropping bit, its a good version of tetris better suited for player vs player I think.
The black "refugee" beans were annoying since I only played this once in 2007 and wasn't very good at it as a result, given that I've never had a Play Station, so I've never been able to own any Play Station games, to do a formal practice at them. But if they didn't have refugee beans, then the game wouldn't be as interesting. With the second boss, I thought I had the advantage because I always hesitated rather than quickly putting the beans down, but no it turned out to have the opposite effect.
the thing about this game, is things don't start ramping up until you get right around stage 5, that's when it's like "ok, warm up's over, you better hope you actually know what you're doing" lol
There must be some secret of how to get past the sixth stage. I managed to get past the third, fourth, and fifth stages yesterday (all of which were difficult, especially the third one). But not only does the guy at stage six know how to make a comeback, and not only will he show no mercy whenever I screw up (which is like a lot) but the beans fly down more quickly, which gives a guy less time to think and more opportunities to lose. It's a fun game, but admittedly it wouldn't be so difficult if the guy at stage six wasn't so fast. He plays like nothing I've ever seen, and boy is he fast. I thought I'd seen it all but he takes it to a whole new level. He's impossible to toy with, and unfortunately when I play a game at this speed, screwing up is basically the equivalent of toying with your opponent.
I remember this game as a kid had no idea how to get past the turtle. If i did it was pure no blinking luck. Id always forget to blink This needs to be a ap. Its a good combination between angry birds and candy crush But it beats them both
29:45 right there! one of the biggest insults that the game can throw at you, you obviously have a way out cause there's plenty of room left at the right side BUT the game puts a clear bean right where you would lose at, but THE biggest insult is when you're already obviously gonna lose, but you don't even get to lose on your own terms, the game puts a clear bean at the final open slot, same concept, different scenario, it makes it a much bigger insult since you practically are already gonna lose and the game is just like "ok hurry up and lose already" lol
well i mean... frankly is a stage 2 brute force character so of course he loses really fast, his brute force technique is his downfall, stage 11's dragon breath is a good example of an actual good brute force character
i want to see a version of this game that just has unfair ai that's nearly impossible to beat, that would be fun to watch lol (and stage 13 is just like... actually impossible cause everything would move way too fast for any human to keep up with lol)
I do have to state something though, you could be much better if you didn't settle for double combos as much. While doubles are annoying to your opponent, they are rarely going to do much for you unless you block something your opponent is working on or do a lot of them in rapid succession. Triple combos however, are damaging, and even one of them can significantly increase your chances of winning by burying all of your opponent's work under refugee beans, at the very least buying lots of time
Bro i remember playing sonic mega collection as a kid and thinking arms was the final boss of the entire game and collection bro I look back now and realize how stupid I was
Dude it was only about 10 years ago I realized Pokémon were called what they're called because it sounds like what they look like. BULB a SAUR (Plant bulb + Dinosaur).... THAT'S stupid xD
9:55 yeah, absolutely FUCK when that purple bitch starts to do that. Pressure overload on my first try there. Thoroughly unenjoyable getting buttraped by him.
you almost never see any videos of people being bad at this game, i'm hoping this is one of those because i see too many videos of professionals, they seem almost freakin robotic themselves lol
I like both this game and the SNES game "Tetris Attack", but my -----, the difficulty of this game compared to Tetris Attack makes me feel like I can play T.A. on the hardest difficulty while blindfolded, and still easily win.
A literal reskin of Puyo Puyo (understandable as Sega acquired Compile) but still a good challenging Puzzle game if you like that sort of thing. I just suck at puzzle games.
