I use Zensweet Monk Fruit Sweetener ordered on Amazon. Did not affect my blood sugar and had no strange taste like I would have with other sweeteners.

For anyone wondering how many sweeteners to consume in a day the average number of artificial sweetener packets a person should have per day is 1-23. I was curious about this and found the answer on www.ajc.com. So for drinks if you use 4 packets per drink that’s close to 6 drinks. But also keep in mind that Kool aids or Crystal Light flavored pitcher drinks, diet cola, and bottled drinks are flavored with artificial sweeteners that is probably close to the average amount of 23 packets. For me I think keeping it close to 8 packets a day is a better bet for health. Less is better

I agree. I only use 6 packets a day max.

Anna G that’s a good idea. Especially since each sugar packet has a high amount of sugar acid. Yeah I only have 6-8 packets a day too. I don’t think our body is made in a way to absorb so much acid. From what I’ve researched from MayoClinic and health journals, artificial sugars can lead to cancers and gastric diseases. The more consumed the more risk. So yeah it’s a good thing to have less than more

Might be a bit low in magnesium if you're constipated. Try a magnesium supplement and see what happens.

I like to sweeten my coffee sometimes and my husband likes keto desserts. I use HardRhino pure sucralose powder, dissolved in a 50/50 solution of hot distilled water - fill dropper bottles and keep them in the refrigerator. It's the most like sugar of all that I've tried, no aftertaste, no "cooling" or licorice flavor - and you can use only 1-2 drops to sweeten a cup of coffee or a mug cake. Most people can't tell the difference between sucralose and table sugar. 125 grams is about an 8 month supply for four of us.

Do you have any current data on pure monk sweetener? It is in powder form. I don't think it comes on liquid. I have had very good results making whipped cream with it.

@sherry, my monk fruit has a small amount of natural sugar added to help it pour. Did no effect my blood sugar that I could tell.

Why was the Dr. on the left even there, and why are processed sugar substitutes worse? Why are they universally seen as negative?

Also make sure your stevia doesn't have maltodextrin as a filler.
@sirnuggets9666
@sirnuggets9666 4 года назад
yup, maltodextrin raises your insulin levels. They sometimes mix aspartame into other off-brand stevia products too. Aspartame is sketchy shit I would stay away from it.

So I see you're talking about sugar alcohol but is phenylalanine considered that also?
@kristinehatkinson7323

No, it's an amino acid-- and many of them taste rather sweet! You can use whey protein to help sweeten in some baking.

@VirtaHealth

Soteria Charis Use sweeteners in small amounts as needed to make you happy. Based on the current evidence xylitol, erythritol, or stevia are likely your best choices. The best way to measure your response is to track your blood sugar and ketones following the usage of those products.

@@VirtaHealth monk fruit is great, I've read a lot of studies about it. I recommend researching for yourself for sure, that being said there is evidence of anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of the monk fruit sweetener.

Honey breaks down into fructose which makes it easier to be turned into fat in your body. Stay away from honey and agave syrups too.
