Fantastic talk. Few things that stood out to me: 1. Loved his reflection on what the first act Jesus did after his resurrection. That long walk to Emmaus. 2. Abraham’s first recorded prayer to God was a complaint. 3. Encouraging us to learn sacred scripture. What a gift! We have no excuse, unless you are illiterate. 4. The book of Jubilee found in Dead Sea Scrolls and how thet are part of the Ethiopian cannon. Amazing how they recorded the years of Jubilee throughout time and the Jubilee of Jubilee is when Jesus shows up. Hmmm. 🤔 5. And the terms like Theocentricity and Homo Liturgicus.

"God loves you." How many times have you heard that and it didn't really register, or you accepted and believed it, but it didn't make much a difference practically? That was me. And now, this was just the reminder I needed that I AM LOVED. God seems to be reminding me of my conversion experience from 2014 in various ways lately, just to strengthen and encourage me in the hard times we're all facing, I think, because I'm in a place where I need that. The part here, where Dr. Healy talks about how hearing "God loves you" can be like a color blind person accepting that "the grass is green," really struck a chord with me. It takes the Holy Spirit, she says, to give you that color vision. Well, man, to remember my conversion experience... I didn't expect or deserve it. But my faith was only in my head, not my heart, and so one day at the start of 2014, I knew something needed to change in my life because I was restless and miserable after leaving grad school, so I told Jesus, point blank, that I wanted to give him a chance like I never had before. I started developing a prayer life, and I found something more of an inner peace, and I thought that would be it. Until May 30, when God came out of nowhere like a blitzing linebacker on Day 1 of the Novena of the Holy Spirit, just to let me know "I LOVE YOU." My world was turned upside down. And I was completely taken aback, not only by the realization that He really and truly loved ME, quirks and faults and all, but by the fact that I found it so surprising, because I had always believed that He loved me, in my head. I'd always accepted it as a fact. But I realized that day, after He entered my heart because I'd opened the door, that HE WANTED AN ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP WITH ME. Things are tough right now. We all need the reminder that God is there, He is in control, and yes, HE LOVES YOU. If that feels like mere words, invite Him in. Invite Jesus in. I promise, He'll come, in His way and in His time, the best possible way and timing for you. You don't deserve it, you say? Well, hell, do you think I did?

It mystifies me that Clophas and his companion were not at the Last Supper, all three synoptic Gospels talk about Jesus and His 12 Apostles being there. So Clophas and friend were not there. How is it that they recognised Jesus on the breaking of the bread, since they were not there?

Why did the Roman Catholic Church change the Ten Commandments written in the Bible? They took away the second commandment, “You shall not make for yourself an idol.” God prohibited idolatry through the commandment, “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below, and you shall not bow down to them or worship them.” However, the Catholic Church set up cross images, and made and worshiped Mary and Saints statues. They have a doctrine that contradicts the commandment, “You shall not make idols.” In the eyes of the Catholic Church, the 2nd commandment was a prickly one. After all, they took away the 2nd commandment. They also changed the 4th commandment from “Keep the Sabbath day” to “Keep the Lord’s Day.” If the Sabbath were the same day with Sunday which is called the “Lord’s Day,” they would not have changed it to “Keep the Lord’s Day.” The Roman Catholic Church introduced the Sunday service into the church. They had no choice but to change the Ten Commandments in order to stick to the day of sun-worship.

God is the very best Father. Jesus Christ loves you and has given his life for you. There are billions of reasons to trust him with your soul. He will run to you the moment you ask for help. He will forgive and give you his strength to endure any hardship. May God continue his work in you and perfect you over time. You also have to fight the good fight for the highest goal of eternal life until the last moment but you are never alone. Holy Spirit you are God , the giver of life. God is the giver of every good gift. I love you Jesus in the eucharist. Teach me , good Lord ,to see you in every single person I meet today. Medieval peasants actually could learn and retain quite a lot about the Bible and church doctrine. For example, St. Joan of Arc's replies while on trial are closely related to stuff written by Gerson in his medieval books of homily helps. So Joan paid attention to what her pastor taught, and Gerson worked to put this stuff out in a format some country priest could use. (And the Holy Spirit used it all.) But it is also true that medieval peasants got presented the Faith from a lot of different angles, and we've dropped a lot of them. Learning through physical activities like processions or mystery plays or physical games is deprecated, we don't memorize poems and ballads, there's not a lot of holy day cooking or visits to local shrines going on, and of course we don't get the memory training that a medieval peasant would have, much less a medieval scholar or preacher. So of course the faithful in every age should learn as much as they can, but sometimes we bypass the needs of people who are not paper/screen learners. It would also be nice if some "new" things were put in the context of traditional Catholics devotions and spirituality, so that "old" forms of respect would not be (or seem to be) put down or passed over as useless. Not aiming this at Dr. Hahn, but it's a thing that happens a lot between Catholics of different backgrounds or educations.

Sabbath is Saturday however..... not Sunday. The Catholic Church uses Sunday as "Sabbath" but that's not scripture. It seems this is being confused here....

I want to follow YHWH correctly. I want to therefore keep the Sabbath of YesHuWaH (Jesus wHo Kurios Ho Theos) correctly. When I became Roman Rite Catholic via RCIA 2015, I was somehow lead to believe up til here that Sunday is the Lord's Sabbath, or so people here reading know, Sunday is considered a Catholic Holy day of which Mass attendance is mandatory to attend to not be in mortal sin normally. Listening to Mr. hah'ns video here, I'm wondering if somehow it was never fully explained correctly to me? I'm a believer now only and always will remain faithful in my heart, but actually now never attend Mass since I truly believe the abomination causing desolation entered with all the promotion of accepting gross sin among other things and Christ said flee when we see/hear of such, so I believe I'm correct to be absent. I would never wish to be counted among any who would attempt to change times and seasons, traditional dogma and faith or those who are actually now attempting to destroy the one Holy and Apostolic Faith from within. I have up to hearing this video, believed Catholics traditionally from the Church Fathers onward treated Sunday as the Holy day since Christ rose from death and His WORK in hell on that Glorious Mystery Sunday. Have I been incorrect to conclude after the stress and sorrow of the previous Friday and Saturday for all Christ's family and friends, His rising, similar to Him being brought before the Priest when only 8 days old, truly brought everyone rest, freedom from sin and death's sting and of the fear of the unknown? I have thought for instance, some of the hardest work for many ancient Jews must have been travelling by animal, carrying family and sacrificial animal gifts, and the journey back home all on Saturday, in my mind anyway, this seems something that would motivate them to hold fast to the true rest of their Messiah, and a definite willingness to say undoubtedly "blessed is HE who has come in the name of the LORD"! What really is Traditional Roman Catholic Sabbath keeping?

Please pray and fast about state of Michigan's proposal 3, on abortion and for a new prolife governor. This bill is the worst in U.S. Only China tops it, and such. Jesus said certain demons can only be rid by prayer and fasting, combined. Certainly, abortion is a " certain demon", having clung to society for decades.
