Dr Seuss VS Shakespeare. Epic Rap Battles of History [Reaction] 

You're not giving my boy Will enough credit. Not only did he rap his first verse in Iambic Pentameter (which is historically how he wrote many of his sonnets), but in the second verse he spit rapid fire and flowed like a god. On skill alone, i think he took this. Just my $0.02.

I mean I might be biased because I love Shakespeare but he won hands down! As for the translations, I mean look at the time period he lived during and the boring people isn't a fact it is strictly opinion. But like I said, I'm biased in many ways. I'm a English Major so I read a lot of old books.

Shakespeare's 2nd verse was amazing. He said he writes different styles (comedies, histories, tragedies) and they're all wonderful. Then he sarcastically mentions that Seuss is predictable, using trisyllabic meter and weird Muppet-like creatures in all of his books. Ends it by calling hiself a baller while Seuss is still sitting in the bleachers. Watsky is amazing. BTW, he and Zach Sherwin, who is in a lot of ERB videos, have a rap where none of the words use the letter E. look up watsky No E.

Come on. Willam’s second verse is definitely one of the best in ERB history. His first verse was well crafted and put with roast on Seuss. While his second was well crafted with roast and speed. Shakespeare is the obvious winner in my opinion

That might sound a little sad, but there's a need a lot of people have, myself included, to share these Rap Battles with people, because we want them to love them as much as we do, and I think, in general, that's why these kinds of videos are popular. But yea, even tho I wasn't a fan of your Trump/Clinton reaction vid, which isn't your fault at all that's totally on me, I love seeing how much you also enjoy these videos! Plus a lot of people don't realize that you can still miss things no matter how many times you watch a video, and watching other people with other perspectives can help you see things you might not have seen before :)

The reason there is a "translation" on the opposite page is because a lot of his work were plays. the "translation" were directions for the actors to follow what he wanted them to do. Great reaction though. btw: I agree about the Twilight Saga... Absolute Trash! Tried to watch the first movie on DVD rented from the Red Box. That is $1.75+ tax and 10 munites of my life I will never get back.

You should totally react to something by Watsky (the guy playing Shakespeare). I think you'd like his flow on songs like "Mean Ass Drunk" or "Woah, Woah, Woah".

If you look I to it, apparently Shakeseare's plays sound better if done with an American Accent, because the American Accent was the original British Accent and when they lost the Revolutionary War the British dropped the American Accent as an F-U to USA

I'll admit I come mostly for the ERB reactions right now, but I only subscribe to some who do reactions to those. If I subscribe (like I have here) in means I really enjoy YOU the reactor and I will keep checking back and looking at new videos posted even if they aren't ERB and will watch any that seem like they may be of interest. So when the ERBs run out I may not be as active, but I will keep lurking around and watching things here and there because I do enjoy you.

I came for the Rap Battles, but I'm staying for you and your reactions.

The bias is real on this one. Battles shouldn't be decided on who you like better based on what they've done, but on whose raps were on point. William Shakespeare won this hands down even though I also hate his books for being boring as shit. That second verse with the rapid fire killed it, even Dr Seuss and Cat in the Hat were speechless for a good bit of time in the battle. Thing 1 and Thing 2's verse was nowhere near the level of Cat in the Hat, so for me Shakespeare went from good verse to best verse while Dr Seuss came up short unfortunately.

Eh, well, the plays that usually get pulled out in a high school class tend to be the most boring of the plays (Romeo & Juliet, Julius Caesar, etc. Hamlet's good, but it's just so goddamned long and a bit repetitive), but MAN, give Henry V or A Winter's Tale a shot. I found them much more interesting than the stale things we usually get in school, who's storylines have been redone over and over again so we all practically have them memorized.

Shakespeare won this hands down, his disses were harsh, he did his entire first verse in Iambic Pentameter which is crazy in itself, then of course that rapping in the 2nd verse was just insane. Things 1 & 2 were overall a disappointment and IMHO caused Dr. Seuss to lose this battle. Again that second verse that Shakespeare dropped was rap god levels of impressive.

to keep it 100, I subscribed after the 2nd ERB reaction I saw, but thats what I watch, re-action videos to what I like. Once your done with ERB, and if you don't pick say a show I like, Like Avator, GoT, BB, etc, I'll be out. You seem like a cool cat, I dig your re-actions and your fairly knowledgable. It's just thats what I'm into, the re-actions and a way to re-watch stuff I like in 10 minute clips.

Will killed this imo. In skill as SoulOfTheReaver pointed out in his post (along with many others - Iambic Pentameter first verse and an incredible second verse), and in disses - plus I couldn't stand Dr.Seuss' second verse with Thing 1 & 2 - lol. To me that whole verse was a choke.

Of course his works have to be translated on the next page because it's been five hundred years. The language has shifted, as languages do over time. Just try to read Middle English (before Shakespeare's time) or even Old English, nowadays.

dr suess was a great writer and whatnot but as a person he was pretty shitty, the whole time while his wife was dealing with cancer he cheated on her for 13 years and after she died he married the maid. His actions spoke louder than his words. I love the stories, just not the man behind them.
