This broke my heart. James need help. I think his soul really want the change but he's afraid. Lord protect this family. Guide them lord.

If only the DeBarge’s Mother would swallow her pride and admit her failure in raising them. I feel that would break down those old barriers, especially between her and Bunny. She knew her daughter Bunny was consistently being abused by her husband and yet she requested burying the evil instead of meeting it head on.

James is real. It's sad yet he's real. I believe Bunny and El are the only two clean right now. I'm still sending healing love to this fam. I believe they can break the cycle.

Family curses are real people. You have to break chain with God and professional help. May God keep them with grace and mercy

This was such a broken family. I just watched the Bobby Debarge Story.They all have so much trauma from their abusive childhood.

My God, I am sitting here with tears pouring down my face, my heart is so heavy over hearing James say he is already dead inside, I can relate to what it is he is saying, I once was in a situation in my life where I felt that very way... It's like you know what it means to be dead while still breathing...James please, please, please, don't give up the fight, believe in God & know that he will see you through all of your trials...you're still breathing, therefore, you still have a purpose in this life Brother, I wish nothing but the best for you...May God continue to Bless this whole family 🙏🏼❤️

This is so heartbreaking.

I don't like the way they are talking to the family. As someone who has been abused in every way by my parents, the shit hurts. Sometimes, we don't need instructions. We need someone to simply acknowledge all that pain we endured throughout our entire childhood. If its hard for us to admit what we went thru...imagine how hard it is to live with it.

This is so sad...so many people failed them as children (starting with their mother who was too afraid of their father to truly protect them). And because of all the people back then who knew what was going on in their household but felt they just needed to “mind their business” instead of intervening, I can see why they became damaged adults and had trust issues... Bobby Debarge physically and sexually molested James because of the demonic and torturous acts Bobby was receiving from their father. Ten children in one household going through all of that is just unbearable to even think about... 🥺

So sad but prayer do changes things. Lord bless the family.

Seeing James talk made me tear up. He sounded just like my brother when we talked one month before he died from a drug overdose. I guess I was trying to get a message through to him, but he wasn't hearing me because I wasn't hearing him. Maybe that's the key. We have to REALLY listen to and feel what people on drugs are saying because when you get right down to it, they know more about their condition than we do. When James says he doesn't care, notice how the doctor said he doesn't believe that. I said the same thing to my brother before he died. When people on drugs say they don't care, take it that they aren't lying. They still seem like cool people to be around though. Makes me tear up to see how they genuinely love each other. The way Randy hugged James reminds me of how my older brother would hug and even kiss me at times..... Man I miss that.

Oh my heart goes out to them...especially James! Back in the day - people considered a person crazy to have psychotherapists and psychiatrists but it is needed. It's a hole in his heart and he needs tools to fill that hole. But I still adore this family's talents...Wishing them the best...and praying for a better life hoping it's not too late!

I'm praying they all make a full recovery and I'm praying that James realizes how worth it his life is and starts to care and learns to live.

They never felt secured even when they had each other. The first two people that they trusted (mom and dad) didn’t make them feel secured. Their father was an alcoholic and an abuser, and their mother was a bystander and looked the other way when it was happening. So no, I’m not surprised that they use alcohol and drugs to make them forget. It happens. They were children and should’ve been protected. But I pray so hard for this family. Pray for their healing so hard. They deserve that much. And I’m glad that they have one another. Just finished watching the Bobby Debarge Story. I just really pray they continue to get the help they need to start living their life and be at peace not only with themselves, but their past.

this is so breathtaking. the thing that floored me is in one of the other clips when ( I believe Randy) said that he doesn't do drugs to get high anymore, its to not be sick. I don't wish drug addiction on anyone. it seems to be the devil itself.

This is just so sad. Hearing James express how he feels about living or lack of it, is really heartbreaking! Hope they all are recovering & healing from a horrible childhood & their addiction.

My heart broke for James lm thinking the physical and emotional abuse that he endured as a child from his abusive older brother Bobby in very well in there in his mind and soul..

James has me in tears to see how much he has suffered they ALL have but about James it hurts me the MOST! James is my favorite ! NO child should have to suffer or go through that EVER! God got you and us your fans love you and hang in there💔😢‼️

I wish the whole family if brothers & sisters and the mom would get together and put it all out on the table. Confront the mom about the past abuse and she needs to be held accountable. That's the whole start of the downhill issues and drug use. Poor kids still scared and traumatized in adult bodies.

Wow James looked so good on Unsung like he was really over it & you could tell by this video he wasn't going to stay in treatment he was reluctant to go. He pretty much has given his soul over because he knows he is dead inside, pessimistic about life & everything in it I pray Bunny is still clean like they said they have been sober before but it didn't last. Unsung made them relive the Tragedy of it all lord have mercy on their souls.

My heart aches for this family. Addiction is a deadly disease but help is available. Don’t give up on yourself! Trust yourself! You are valuable, you can change your situation! You are capable of all things 💜

Oh James hurts the heart and soul. They are addicted to each other because they share the trauma. Addicted to the drugs because they always got high together as well. I hope they all are better now. This family is amazing and blessed with so much talent. I'm always rooting for them.

There are a lot of people who feel worthless and are in pain, not knowing how much they are loved. People who have had a positive impact on so many lives, but when you're depressed you just don't see it. Imagine if the Debarge family hadn't existed. Domino effect. How many rap songs wouldn't have been.. I hope they realize how so many regular people that they will never know have heard their music and smiled. I hope they do heal and find peace.

Religion is so messed up. Mama DeBarge blamed all the abuse on "the Devil" and never pressed charges against the monster in her own home. It's so easy to blame uncomfortable things on a vague "devil" or "demon," isn't it? It's much harder to address issues head-on like an adult. These are the most traumatized humans I've ever seen. Someone should be held accountable.

This family has been through a lot. I feel so sad. Getting them help is tough for someone who is hooked on heroin for that long.. We all want them to get well. Talented family

God is the Only Source of Divine Healing that will mend each of their severely abused life’s. No one has the right to snatch the souls & spirits of any body else. Yet it happens. May they all positively receive & the nurturing that they did not get under the abuses they experience. Hope they heal and get to thrive. Prayers go out to each DeBarge that the get to fully living loving themselves. Mental Health is just as important as physical health. Life is fragile.

Drugs didn't just end up in every urban city. Drugs were deliberately infused in the cities of this country. None of that is their fault.

May God take this family in hand to get the help they will need and bring them through, listening carefully to what's being said, They can not confront the father because he has passed and the mother isn't accepting the trauma in their lives, I believe, this has been in the way of their continued recovery .. Their not getting answers and the support thats needed... I watched a clip El Drbarge's recovery, he has family that's taken him in and he looks and sounds great ... The Debarge's was broken as kid's, they have to be almost re raised to adults to get their lives together, they are broken... I pray that they get what is needed.. I love you Debarge family💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

My heart goes out to them things that traumatized them as kids is still traumatizing them in their adulthoods

My thing is this: There are future drug users that will watch this video and end up in the same predicament or worse. What will it take? Leave those damn drugs alone! My friends use to tease me back in the day about not using drugs...they are all gone now...from using drugs. People get stressed out and the things they usually grab are drugs and alcohol. Sad situation.

I ALL READY KNOW THAT FAMILY CAN KEEP AND HOLD YOU BACK IN LIFE AS WELL THEY DO NEED TO TO LEAVE EACH OTHER TO GET BETTER AND NOTHING IS WRONG WITH THAT ! BEING CO-DEPENED ON PEOPLE AS WELL AS DRUGS ISN'T GOOD

This breaks my heart... like its my own family that i'm watching. I'm shocked. it must've been really bad for them growing up. They are such a beautiful family, physically and in spirit with a great god given talent. I hope they get the help that they desperately need. You can't blame anyone for your problems once the damage is done. You just have to work on fixing the damage.It's easier said than done but it CAN be done nonetheless. Love you guys.
