Chico made me cry when he was talking about his step-father. The thing I love about the DeBarge family is they keep reaching for the Lord. May they be covered with the blood of Jesus and His robe of righteousness.
RIP Tommy. My condolences to the entire family. It is strange. I watched this for the first time on 10.21.21, the same day he transitioned. I have been going down DeBarge memory lane for the past 2 days. There was something I couldn't shake. I even watched the Bobby DeBarge story and was really having these heavy sad feelings so much that I couldn't sleep. After I heard this news the feelings started to ease up. It was like I had to watch every interview, video, etc. Again, my condolences to the family.
I thought I was the only one that couldn’t sleep. I ran into these videos as well and all this week I been watch every video I can find every song. I knew debate family as in music but the tormented abusive has made me ultimately sad for what they all been thru. I heard and seen terrible things and ppl and kids being abused it’s too much to bare, I’m going to have to lay low on these videos of debarges life story before my madness turn to sadness to depression. This is depressing.
After the Unsung videos they should have signed a deal to release either a 5 part series or a big screen movie on the lives of their family members. The only original who is still touring is El and I must say that I am so proud of what he has accomplished over the last 13 years. Getting clean and making a wonderful come back. Still so talented and handsome. He was headlining in Sfla just last month. What a blessing. Something good came out of years of fighting his demons.
DeBarge are one of my favourite music groups. The family are so gifted and I love there music. After all they have gone through I respect the fact that no matter what they went through, they always kept there faith in God.
There was a time when I wrote the Debarge family off as a bunch of drug addict losers who wasted their talent and money. Shame on me. Shame on me. I shouldn't judge people especially when I didn't know a damn thing about them or their struggles.

*Soo, as I sift through the silliest videos I've ever seen in my life..I land on this one. This was pretty amazing to see. The world, at least black and over 35..loves this family deeply and dearly. Though they didn't have love and protection at home growing up... GOD gave them the entire world to Love them! No1 ever would have thought they were going through the hell and complete terror at home...as they Always had smiles on their faces, they were always nice and kind and just beautiful inside and out. We never knew, until later. I have to say, I'm angry at their mother and I despise their father. I 'm happy they're pretty much ALL, still here. My heart breaks for Tommy and I pray for him. At least he's not alone and has a huge family that loves and cares for him. I wish them strength, happiness, success, health and even more love. ~ Mr. Creflo..you did a great job with this. A must read is Tommy's book "There Will Never Be" and also Bunny's book "The Kepted Ones Volume 1 ". They went through pure hell. We all have a story in this life but, some more so than others. Blessed w/amazing voices & looks but they carried huge crosses. God help this family.
It is hard not to judge the mom. I feel a similar way. What possessed her to stay with a man and bear more children with him if he has been abusive to everyone thus far? Doesn't seem like she did everything she could to protect her children. I get the impression that she was God-fearing but lacked sense.

Wow, Tommy aged more than all of the brothers and looks nothing like his former self the drugs really took a toll on him. I'll continue to Pray for the DeBarge family. They've been through Hell and Back starting with Bobby & Tommy, Bunny and James etc... Love and Prayers out to all of them. Chico looks Good in 2017 performing with El Debarge. Codycole80, When Chico first came out with his 1st album, he used to rock long hair in the 80s. Then went bald in the 90's & kept bald for a long time. I was surprised to see hair on his head in this video.. In 2017, 2018 I think he went back to his bald head look again. He's so handsome. 😊

God sent Jesus as a man to suffer so that He would know just how we felt when we are to go through things. That's how Jesus comforts you. When you realized we suffer in His suffering and He suffers with us. Not that he puts us through things but He knows already what we will choose and if it's wrong what we choose, He gives us mercy and grace. I am so thankful I realized I was called according to His purpose and His plan is greater than mine.
They were boys trying to be men to help their mom. They loved their mom. It was nice to hear that his brother was speaking in tongues and he was able to see him one last time. I felt it was a little exploitative at first but it had a good message at the end and Chico felt better too.
Thank you Jesus!!! watching this video let me know that Bobby Debarge made it in(with Jesus). His life was tragic and heart breaking, but his mother's prayers is what caused him to give his life to Jesus!!! Hallelujah!!! Keep holding on Debarge Family in Jesus name. I Love you all.

I love this Family, I believe God has and always had his hand on them. He is going to get them through it all. Somethings were not their doing to lead them on this path. Keep them all in your prsyers.

Right! I been a longtime fan of the whole family they are all known as being super sweet, relatable,cool and spiritual but the debarges will street gutta fight all of em lol.
@@michellerjackson5776 yes I always blasted them but to this day i'll put on thier music and harmonize and pretend I was recording with them,they have a gift from God in thier music's vibration, We just got to pray for them daily sis,I see it in Chico and Mr.Tommy's eyes they love God and they crave that healing so we have to speak it for them daily!(💙)
Those drugs really made them age. No offense but I’ve seen the mother and some of them look like they could be the same age as her. It’s so horrible what those kids had to go through in their childhood and adult hood. Time doesn’t always heal wounds. I pray the DeBatge family gets the closure that they deserve. They are really talented and you can tell that their naturally humbled.
Lord, I pray for the Debarge family and that you place men and women of God into their lives and continually into their paths that they may be filled and encouraged spiritually in the mighty name of Jesus. Creflo was right. This was recorded in 2015. He prophesied that the Debarges would make a comeback. Here it is 2019and the Bobby Debarge Story is out and now we r intrigued by this family's trials and tribulations once again. I am claiming victory over each and every surviving member for wot they have been thru in the name of Jesus.
I'm so happy the DeBarge family turned back to God, what a struggle they went through. So sad, but God is a graceful God. Therefore, the DeBarge family will be delivered from their DARK past. Amen.

Perhaps in childhood but as adults they get to make their own choices and to decide to become functioning healthy adults. They make a choice to get help do drugs or whatever. She can’t be blamed for all things and forever.
To those who blame God for the bad things that happen in the world, you really need to understand the concept of free will. God gave man free will. I think it's wonderful that we aren't robots dancing to the same beat of a drum. God promised eternal hell for those who don't repent. So yes if someone who did some terrible things repented God said he would forgive. If someone killed my loved one God forbid but sincerely asked for my forgiveness shall I not forgive? No one is saying to forget. Just like your child does something and asks for forgiveness as a parent do you say NO? The reason why people suffer is because of other people who have a choice to do good or bad. God promised he would deal with them accordingly
This is the problem! Their mother turned to God to fix it. She didn't fix it. She must share the blame. She should have stepped in, she should have taken those kids away from both fathers but instead she prayed and was passive. Never ask God to take you or your kids out of abuse. Get yourself out, get the police, get the help.
This is a testimony and yes this is God has a platform for them. I am in agreement on the prayer and the message from Cleflo. Gods grace makes you new, embracing your new walk and leaving the past behind. EVERYONE HAS A PAST. Through Christ sin and guilt is lifted; NO BLAME..
