Dr. Steven Phelps - The Nature of Religion 

Dr. Steven Phelps is a philosopher and scholar (Ph.D. in cosmology from Princeton, bachelors in philosophy and physics from Stanford), and in this series presents new ways of looking at the age-old concepts of God, spirit, religion, and revelation. He examines the competing world views that lie behind the present conflict between science and religion and offer insights from modern science on the nature of ultimate reality.
In this first lecture in the series, he presents scientific metaphors for spiritual reality in order to address the question: Does religion offer an accurate map of spiritual reality? If not, then what is its value?
