There is no amount lower than 3. But there are heroes with more than 3. So it is not the average. Edit: I get what you’re saying. But it’s still a lower amount compared to heroes that are higher. That’s how I am looking at it.
1.) His statline absolutely matters. He has a sub-average statline with only 5 points, and that 1 in Attack hurts him badly if you are in a non-damage dealing Aspect, forcing him to rely on allies, Crimson Bands, or Magic Attack. 2.) He gets absolutely wrecked by effects that exhaust him. Exhausted Strange cannot cast his spells. His Obligation card can shut down his turn badly for this reason by either crippling your ability to play events or taking away his ability to invoke. 3.) "Just play the invocation deck" is a community meme that isn't true. Except for Winds, there is rarely a spell that is good no matter what. Some of the spells are kind of specific. 4.) He gets screwed over by Stalwart, shutting down half the effects of several of his spells. I maintain Stalwart in its current form is unhealthy for the game and needs to be errata'd. By your own admission his damage sucks and he leans into ConfuseLock, something Stalwart ruins entirely. 5.) Mystic Studies is great early game, but late game is it literally useless. By that point you are only able to get events, which is not great being an alter ego action. 6.) It is pronounced "Crimson Bands of SIT-OR-ACK". 7.) Strange's ability to handle minions is absolutely atrocious. Ultron took my lunch money. 8.) Strongest in the game award is going to Spider-Ham.
I don't think I have heard you say. "in my opinion" how many times in one video. You really have to dig deep to find reasons to not like Doctor Strange. Magic Blast is fantastic. Full stop. Even 3 for 7 is a good card, and more likely you'll get a status. As you said, you can build into Wild resources and have a bonkers card. While you were complaining about his signature cards not being very good without the invocation debt, I actually thought the opposite. He's got a really good array of cards without the invocation deck. Magical enhancements suddenly becomes quite good when you can ready him every turn. Magic blast remains good. Astral projection temains good. He has weaknesses, of course. You're absolutely right that he has to find ways to defend himself, he doesn't have anything in his kit. But he is absolutely a good hero, and fun to play.

As is that he is fun to play. Fun is different for everyone. You may think he is fun, that's awesome. I do not. To say that it is an objective truth that he is fun is just not the truth. As far as what you think about certain cards, those can be your opinions on those things and you can make those arguments, that's fine. I just disagree with a lot/all of it. We can have different opinions on this and it's all good. You gave your reasons of why you like him and think he is great, and that's all good. I respect your opinions on those cards but I just disagree on them.
