It’s moments like this one when I wish Dr. Phil would ask the audience to leave. News like this should never be given for the first time in front of a live audience. I just wanted to hug the mother.
The woman was warned that diabetes and CR are linked. She failed to take care of herself and the worst happened. While it is true that the condition can happen randomly, the overwhelming evidence suggests it’s her fault. I don’t want to hug her, I want to hug the baby, who had no choice in how she was as treated in the womb by an irresponsible, vile woman. And now the child pays the cost and the mom continues doing whatever she wants and asks for money from strangers to pay for the medical consequences.
I overall agree, but there is a case to be made that it can be out in the open, with the families permission of course. There used to be a culture of where you didn’t talk about alcoholism, or a family member having depression, or hoarding, etc, and although it has its drawbacks, better for many to be able to speak openly on a hard subject. Even if said that for privacy and sensitivity, there is an implied message of “if your pregnancy goes badly, that must be private or it’s unseemly,” which definitely happens with miscarriage and stillbirth.
Her baby was born 36 weeks the baby was fine this scares me I’m 14 weeks pregnant I have type 1 diabetes and high blood pressure this whole clip scared me 😞I hope my baby will be ok
There is one! Sadly. Baby girl was born with those deformities . I literally just searched this episode and found an interview with the after she had baby
If you type “Jennie: Happily Ever Elizabeth... the Augusta toddler living with Caudal Regression Syndrome” into RU-vid, you get an update about the baby.
Yeah, if she didn't want her dirty laundry out for the world then she should stay off the television shows. No pity for the fools on Jerry and Maury either.
Update* this woman has a RU-vid channel for her then baby. She claims to be a hero mother who had this thrusted upon her. Glad she loves the child and is involved with him. But wow, she takes no responsibility for her role in potentially causing, and definitely harming/physically abusing this child in utero.
What a travesty! I cannot believe that Dr. Phil told the family on national TV that the baby will probably be born with birth defects! And after delivering the news, Dr. Travis plugged his new book. So disappointed in Dr. Phil.
Update: Samantha gave birth to a little girl named Elizabeth. She was born with caudal regression syndrome. The doctors didn’t think she’d make it past 1 years old. She is now 7 years old according to a Facebook page. Wishing her all the love and joy in the world!
Little Elizabeth has the condition that Dr. Traves mentioned. This mother and grandmother have been very brave. Elizabeth has a severe condition, But against her condition, she is so sweet. If you see her once, you can stop thinking about her. She is just a flirtatious, sweet, sharp little toddler. I am thankful that these women are so brave. They have go-fund in different outlets. I tried to google search Elizabeth and Samantha and found a link to the go-fund page. Along with amazing images of her. I think these three women deserve a lot of love. It is just too much and they are being brave and thankful. But, I think it is very expensive to raise a child with a severe condition. I mean health care and all things around it. I understand that she has a long way to go.
These women deserve NO love. That baby should have been taken away from these vile people and placed in a loving home. They’ll probably just spend the money on things they want for themselves instead of taking proper care of the little girl. Drunk, violent assholes who can’t be bothered to take care of themselves and inflict damage on an unborn child, which they were specifically WARNED about, deserve no sympathy from anyone.
@@surlywithfabshoes No I am in contact with grandma and they are working very hard to get her in championship. Grandma is also taking care of her daughter to see what she wants to do . Litte Elizabeth has so many surguries ahead of her.
Please don't say that. I understand your point. But her case is very heavy. We make a mistake when we are a teen, the suffering is to come for years to come.
I believe the girl had been told what was happening to the baby so stopped getting checked out to try and avoid her mother’s comments and judgement cause how tf are you just gonna not get your child get checked out if you want it so bad.
My friends 19 yr old daughter her baby was born with a very rare brain malformation where her babies’ brain has no folds it is a smooth bran. And when this happens it’s usually one part of the brain. Her babies entire brain is smooth. It can’t breathe on its own, has feeding tubes massive seizures. AND THEY COULD NOT LOVE HIM ANYMORE! SOMETIMES SOULS COME TO TEACH HOW TO LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY.
I mean... that’s great that they love their baby. It is unconditional love. But on the other hand, what kind of quality of life is that for the poor baby? Sounds horrible. That baby is suffering and is most likely better off passing on than being forced to live like that. Unconditional love also means learning to let go and not try to selfishly keep someone alive for them. By all means, it’s their choice though...
An expert? Lol how about an OB/GYN or Neonatologist, not an Emergency Room doctor. You don't have to invite friends only just because it's cheaper Phil.
