Fact is Umar aka Jermaine Shoemake didn't raise and was not involved in his own children's lives so why would I listen to him tell me how I should raise my kids. Fact is everyone is held accountable for their own and Umar FAILED that simple task.

Ask people to go to the business of his youngest daughter mom and grandmother and told people to ask them why he has to have supervised visits… also said he pays his child support in “bulk”(his words not mine) meaning he lets it accumulate up then he will pay it. And only then because the courts would be ready to issue a warrant

I take care of my sons daily. 24/7 I have full custody over all 3 of my sons. Definitely not my responsibility to take care of someone else children…. NOT HAPPENING! I have noticed two types of approaches on social media: A. While never holding women accountable for bad behavior, that person will only tell men to be accountable for their unhealthy actions and the bad behaviors of women. B. While never holding men accountable for bad behavior, that person will only tell women to be accountable for their unhealthy actions and the bad behaviors of men. Simply put, these two individuals are pandering, and their "advice" should be carefully vetted. Because people love to have their ears tickled with comfortable lies, the panderers in (A) and (B) can make a lot of money/gain a large following in the process.

Dr. Umar is promoting and teaching a MENTALITY of accountability and fixing what WE HAVE THE POWER TO CONTROL in our communities. Many people in our communities have a victim, self gratification, and blaming mentality. If we see the problem, but we'd rather spend most of our time doing activities that are counterproductive to the solution.......well...I'd love to be our enemy too because we'd NEVER be COMMITTED to solutions, just excuses and things that make us feel good in the present.

My high school teacher - who was a black man - told ALL of us a students that “can’t “ should NEVER be in our vocabulary. That was in 1981. As a black woman - single parent due to the killing of their father - I told my children the same. It takes a village.

With all of this guys pandering to black women and telling people how great they are, my question to him would be how come he's not married to one? Alot of black men are on the brinks of suicide, alot are in survival mode from systemic attacks. We all both men and women have to be accountable in this fight. But i do think rich black men should put their money into youth centers for black youth to correct our issues, as well as us period putting our money together to create solutions for our youth and our people as a whole, the responsibility is on us men to start it off.
