The big question is - "where will the operational budget come from"? It will take several million per year even for the one elementary school to be fiscally solvent. No budget exists. Again, what are you not seeing? People need to use their common sense. This man isn't building a school. All he had to do was rennovate an existing school, it's been over 10 years and he's still rennovating, NOT BUILDING just repairing what's already there. Rennovations don't take 15 years, painting a wall, takes less than a day. What about the infrastructure? Where are the administrative staff, teachers, building maintenance, food service? Will that take another 15 years to organize? The scam is quite elaborate though, I'll give him that.

When a kid graduates from a charter school, they receive paperwork to enable them to move on to the next stage of their lives. If anyone ever does graduate from Umar's indoctrination camp, their certificates will not be worth a thing seeing as his school will not be offering an accredited course of education.

School was formally Maurice Moyer Academy. One of the problems Dr Urmar encountered was funding and looking for Black contractors...at this point he is having to enlist other contractors. Looking to have much different type set up/ curriculum . More geared to Black Youth educational needs...which has largely been neglected here in Wilm. De.

Idiots in the comment section don’t watch his interviews or know how difficult it is to achieve what he is trying to achieve. He initially tried to build a school but could not get enough funds + a lot of prominent black celebrities promised commitment and flaked. Then he decided that it’s probably cheaper to buy an existing school and renovate it with the money he already had. It’s an extremely arduous process especially when you have to make sure things are up to code and etcetera. My guy could have dipped to a country without extradition and been good for life.
I agree. Umar's biggest problem is overpromising and underdelivering. Each year he says "the school should be open by next year". He should make a plan for the school to be open and fully staffed within 2 years and make that information public, and then work in silence. His other problem is lack of funding
