The advantages of Genius are: impedance feedback, insulated sharp needles, a strong motor to deliver proper depths, and energy output readings. Not mentioned in the video, but important is quality of pulse delivery feedback. If there is a user error, the Genius will alert the provider of this so adjustments can be made. Impedance feedback is unique to the Genius and absolutely necessary to optimize the energy delivery. In the end, a ultrahigh frequency ultrasound confirms that the coagulation zone was at the exact depth that the provider inputted.

Thank you for this informative video. How does Genius compare to Potenza? Do you think using PRP makes a difference with microneedling RF?

Hi Dr. Weiner, the clinics where I'm from don't offer Genius rf; they have Infini rf. Many Infini rf operators whom I spoke to seem to believe in high energy setting (level 13-16 ), but I've read your paper in which you seemed to go against high-energy setting. Given your success with Infini rf for acne scarring, what Infini settings (needle depth, energy level, pulse duration) are optimal for rolling acne scar? a bit about my skin type: South east asian, Type III Fizpatrick.

I had a Genius RF MNing treatment done, and was told final results would be within 3-4 months. But I've seen other windows for Genius of 4-6 months and 8-12 months. Is the "results" window the same as the "remodeling" window? Also, providers often recommend doing a follow-up treatment to build on the previous results from the prior procedure. What's the longest one can wait without missing that window? If we want to "stack our gains" I suppose, is there a difference in doing the following treatment while the skin is still remodeling vs. relatively shortly afterward?

How does this compare to Fractora RF? I did 3 treatment in the past but it didn't help much with indented scars i had.
@StevenWeiner
@StevenWeiner 3 года назад
Fractora is being phased out by Inmode because it's not nearly as good as RFM. It is very superficial, causes bulk heating, and is uninsulated. These all lead to more side effects and more chances of PIH and scarring.

@@StevenWeiner How much control do you have over intentionally destroying facial fat? Can you adjust how aggressive you are? Is it safe to use on the medial, nasolabial, and middle fat pads? What if I have filler in all of these areas of the face? Can you destroy fat without destroying filler? How would the Genius compare to the Exilis for purposeful fat loss in these areas?

How does this compare to Morpheous8?
@StevenWeiner
@StevenWeiner 3 года назад
Morpheus can’t even change pulse duration. Energy must flow from needles to skin to complete circuit so footplate needs to be perfect or No pulse or possible arcing. The needles are spread far apart so minimal fractional coverage. Genius has impedance feedback every 2 msecs so energy is adjusted to delivery what was requested. There is a cumulative energy count. The handpiece tells you if pulse was delivered or if suboptimal. None of that with Morpheus. Morpheus only adjusts every 1cm, Genius every 0.1 cm. Morpheus is more similar to bulk heating because of energy flow and bulk heating isn't desired, fractional coagulation is.

How does this compare in efficiency to Morpheus8?
@StevenWeiner
@StevenWeiner 2 года назад
Way less for Morpheus. There is no impedance feedback so the energy delivered is variable. The energy must travel back to footplate so the handpiece must be perfect to deliver the pulse. The pulse is too short. The studies I've done show you need 300-400ms to deliver appropriate energy without desiccation. I think Morpheus in in the 70's. Fractional treatment is about 30% with Genius and much much less with Morpheus.

How does this device compare to InMode FaceTite?
@StevenWeiner
@StevenWeiner 2 года назад
Much different. No tumescent anesthesia, less downtime, less risks, need more treatments.
@thad8909
@thad8909 2 года назад
@@StevenWeiner So because FaceTite has the lipo tool it’s intended more so for facial contouring/intentional fat loss? Whereas the Genius is more powerful when it comes to collagen building, tightening, wrinkles, etc?
@StevenWeiner
@StevenWeiner 2 года назад
@@thad8909 Yes, more lipo/fat loss/contouring with Facetite. It will tighten better than Genius but has some risks: contour irregularity, prolonged swelling, more downtime, longer procedure time. FaceTite can only be used on lower face, not upper. Accutite is smaller and can be used on more areas of the face.
