The worst part is that she got bad advice! This guy in the video is incorrect. Dogs are no different than cats in Islam. Dogs can be kept in the house, but the dog itself must be trained to only void itself outside of the house. It's not the dog itself that keeps angels out, it's the excrement of the dog (and ask yourself if you'd enter a house with dog poop/pee everywhere, probably not). The whole "dog saliva is impure" leaves out a very important point, it is only impure if the dog has rabies!! That is why the container the guy in the video was referring to was washed so thoroughly (also hydrophobia is not a disease itself, it is a late-stage symptom of "rabies" which is the correct name of the disease). Those dogs that the Prophet (PBUH) ordered to be put down either had rabies or were nuisance stray dogs that would cause problems by entering homes (as they didnt have doors at that time, only curtains). Basically all Islam requires the owner to properly train the dog. Even most Westerners would agree this is proper practice for dog ownership. In fact, the Quran states that an animal that is killed by a hunting dog is halal and no further slaughter is required. If dog saliva was impure, why would the meat of an animal killed by the dog's teeth be permissible? Muslims need to take the time to research and think these things through rather than just accept hear-say as fact.
Absolutely, this woman recognises the true value of dogs. They are intelligent, sentient beings. The Prophet over a 1000 years ago made them haram to safe people from getting rabies, he had no other options like we have today. There is more bacteria in human saliva than there is in dogs, so it's safer to be bitten by a dog rather than a human. Once dogs are vaccinated they are perfectly safe to interact with. It was only back in ancient times when there was no cure for rabies did the Prophet act quickly to prevent more people getting it by declaring dogs are garam. It was the fear of catching rabies way back in history that this notion that dogs were unclean was invented to save people from getting rabies. Nowadays we have medicines for animals and humans to prevent this. Dogs excrement is the same as any ither beings waste. It contains UNDIGESTABLE FOOD, BILLIRUBIN AND BILLIVERDIN these are two products of metabolism made by the liver. In addition to this mixture there is the usual gut bacteria that is present in all mammals including us. It is high time that the Islam leaders were educated about this. In this day and age we treat and keep dogs like children. Meaning, regular vaccinations, expensive bathing products, proper foods and medications. I bet dogs are now cleaner and smell better than most people. Haha

Keeping dogs indoor doesn't lead to various diseases, the hydrophobia he mentioned is not a disease but a symptom of rabies, and rabies is found in many animals not just dogs. It is true that some folks when they touch the dog they have an allergic reaction and can even develop the flesh eating bacteria, but that is so rare!!!
Questions : Are dogs (ANIMALS) allowed to share same space as humans do in Jannnah ? I was told all animals go to Jannah. Do we have different sections in Jannah for animals and humans ? What if a man has sinned and is rewarded hell and his pet his companion is rewarded jannah but doesnt accept jannah rather wants to be with his master ? I'm trying to answer you questions based on what I know, to answer your first question; There are 7 animals that are definitely get to heaven among them are the prophet saleh camel, the companion of al-Kahfi's dog, the bird of Sulaiman and others, while most of the other animals only become soil again when they have received the justice between them in the day of judgments. And the 2nd is: In jannah there is no term for sections, it depends on the wishes of the owner of jannah if he wants his animal to return to his side then it will be as it was, even more perfect and more beautiful. third; if the master is in hell then the master must undergo his punishment first until his sins are clean but if the master acts justly and takes care of him with love even though the master has a lot of sins will be reduced in proportion to the good deed that he did in this world, the last; Rasulullah s.a.w was given a choice by his god whether to stay with his people and also lead them until the end of the world or return to his creator? Dogs have better sense of emotional state than humans and they are loyal to theirs owners. If you trains a dog on how to behave towards you, the dog can only follow. We have a dog who is up to date with vaccinations. I personally train our dog not to leak me, not to jump on me and she follows. The reason I trained her to behave this way, is that whenever our dog gets too close to me it feels like a magnetic field disruption around me and that makes me uncomfortable. However, I can stroke her briefly, feed her, give her clean water and clean after her because she is unable to do so. I make sure that I keep the house clean and burn incenses. The dog is happy and I am happy.

I dont find a single verse in the Quran forbidding me to touch a dog or stopping me from keeping a dog. On the contrary I do find a verse that tells me it is " Halal to eat the food that my hunting dog has caught for me." In addition at the time of Hazrat Umar Farooq it has been said that while he was Caliph " He said not even a dog would go hungry." So beautiful was the Islamic State System that no human or dog would go hungry. There was no poverty. The ban on dogs came about by man -made hadith that were written by the so called Father of Cats, he was a cat lover and hated dogs.
Theres no ban of dogs in Islam. in Islam you can keep a dog for a reason and purposes vary from hunting to protection and a lot of other beneficial things to humans. a dog is a useful animal and Islam doesnt ban anything beneficial to mankind. but the advise is to keep a proper distance because they can transmit diseases for your safety. It's a BLESSING to be a NON-MUSLIM because my family and I can TOTALLY ENJOY without feeling any GUILT: watching movies, TV series, stand-up comedies or cartoons (anime); listening to music; singing; dancing; drawing (or hanging anyone's drawing on the wall); painting; playing video games; keepings a dog or puppy inside the house (dogs are our best friends). :-) Sadly, if you are a Muslim, most scholars (sheikhs) condemn all these beautiful activities or put a lot of limitations. According to a Muslim's logic, Allah created over 10,000 galaxies, but he's more interested if in a very little blue planet a human is listening to music (your favourite singer) or watching Naruto's episodes. But what about cats? They too carry health risks for example pregnant women. So if one would use the health argument, it’s not very consequent. I can imagine that the Prophet pbuh, meant the dogs at that moment who most likely would carry rabies, at least. The dogs nowadays are maybe cleaner then most people.
I just came from watching Dr. Shabir Ally answer about dogs. He mentioned how dogs being prohibited in the Holy Quran is no where mentioned. He stated dogs were used for hunting and we are allowed to eat the meat from the hunting where dogs obviously carry in their mouth. IF something it's not specifically mention in the Holly Quran, I have a hard time believing others. I don't like pets in the house, I often think dogs smell bad and don't really like to pet them but them being forbidden would want me to truly understand the reason behind it.
IF something is not specifically mentioned in holy Quran , we turn to our Prophet (pbuh). Because in Quran Allah didn’t mention everything or mentioned in hints mostly other than the base points which are clear. Like Allah said to pray. Our Prophet (pbuh) taught every details of prayer. He said dogs are not allowed as house pet, we have to obey. Otherwise our prayers, fasting, hajj, zakat everything is invalid if the prophet (pbuh) is wrong, Nauzubillah. 2 Hadits of our Prophet (pbuh): #Al-Bukhaari (2145) narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: “Whoever keeps a dog, a qiraat from his good deeds will be deducted every day, except a dog for farming or herding livestock.” #Ibn Maajah (3640) narrated from ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allaah be pleased with him) that Prophet (pbuh) said: “The angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or an image.” Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Ibn Maajah.
They can't be kept inside because they are dirty, their saliva, other liquids etc they lick and rub against everything in the house and smell bad, that's plenty of reasons...
'The spit of the dog is unclean', as he said that I could feal every last drop of garlic smelling saliva hit my face, sorry Mr. Zakir but the chances of a dogs saliva being 'unclean' is as slim as the chance of you ever using the thing between your ears that we like to call a brain.

Dogs played a huge role in advancing human civilization. One of the main tools that advanced human civilization was the companionship of dogs, this is why they're everywhere around the world, and they come in all breeds with specific traits that plays a big role in helping humans. How can you resent the modern man's best friend? It's asinine and silly. Yet Muslims praise cats, for some reason. As if they're better (sure, they're cute, but they're not as important as dogs).

I am muslim, I would never be unkind to a dog, but I would never want a dog around me as a pet, I don't know why, but now I convert to Al-Islam after being a christian, it makes sense. I have two muslim friends who were born into the faith who keep dogs as pets and while I kept my thoughts to myself I thought to myself how strange...actually, on reflection, when I first converted, I visited a so-called muslim home who had a picture of a dog, and again it freaked me out, and 'boy!' did I get some push back from some of the so called muslims...in my early years

As for dogs, we are forbidden to keep them in the house dear sister as the dog saliva is completely Haram. But we must be kind to ALL animals as long as they are not attacking us - and this includes dogs. Thankyou Sister.
