...very nice - I'd love a shuftie around the DK shop...there aren't many modern bikes that I like but the 80's and 90's seemed to be a time when bikes were a more interesting shape , and with less electronics to go wrong !
Yeah its definitely worth a ride out in the summer and a shuftie round the bikes looks like they have some very nice retro bikes on display and a massive parts section.
😂🤣 I don't know about that but I did a little bit of motocross when I was a teen and had a Dt125 as my first road bike. But I used to love junior kickstart how good was that programme Dougie lampkin and his Dad where brilliant.
Hi hope your well. Thanks for your comment. Its a brilliant bike im really enjoying riding it and its running well now. Just needed a bit of work on the carburettor.
@@AdamsLifeRiding mine also had Suzuki Height Control which appears to be missing on yours. Also, mine was a 90 model and they were electric start in 91 I think. Are you sure about the year on yours?
The adjustable ride was aimed at the Japanese market for the shorter population. I have since found out that mine is a Japanese import. There is some confusion over the bikes age suzuki uk say its a 86 but thats 100% wrong. Looking at press releases and the DR250SH. Printed under the seat the H represents 1991 year. Was yours the 250s the s was a duel sport with no battery. japan.webike.net/SUZUKI/DR250S/5801/m-spec/.
Looks I nice bike , I would say it will be easy to register as you have the nova you do have to fill a bit of paperwork but you will be soon flying about on it , cheers mate
Yeah I'm hoping it's going to be straight forward the nova is the big one but DK motorcycles sorted all import vat/duty tax and give me the certificate. It's just not having done it before you tend to listen to all the horror stories but I'm sure it will be ok. Thanks pal
I bought a kz550 as a import and like you had not done it before but worked my way through the form the dvla sent me sent my cheque off and registration came back after a few weeks good luck mate you should be ok
Lots of lip smacking in between sentences. I thought I was watching Porn Hub for a minute. Nice bike. I love the Motocross/RM style rear fender. Upside Down Showa Forks is an amazing touch.
The brake squeal went after a quick ride round the yard... the kill switch was a bit stiff but ACF50 sorted it but I hadn't realised you have to press the switch again to turn off the kill switch....
Think i messaged a while back picking up a electric start version tommorow hows the front forks and rear shock feel im about 15 stone looks like you can adjust rear shock via a adjuster and the front shocks underneath??
@@AdamsLifeRiding i have picked it up man its a class little bike havent tested it properly yet but i am going to it had that setting on the bars removed think its called seat height adjustment has yours still got it on ??
Lots of DR250 engine parts on ebay.. or fit a 350 engine....www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-Dr350-1996-S-Complete-Running-Engine-/294588601207?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
