I brought back to life a 1991 dr 350 a couple years ago when I bought it cheap ....great bike and I have been riding the crap out of it lately . cleaned it up last couple weeks and added a new plastic kit ( fenders , side plates ) and ordered some new fork boots ....new back fender light , smaller turn signals , tires , frame mods ..... so its looking good !
Not upgraded, just maintained or serviced. An upgrade would be Air Box modification and Backfire screen removed. Stiffer front fork springs, O-Ring chain etc.
Nice man! Good to see a well-loved DR. I spent a few years (off and on) rebuilding my 1990 DR350 and doing the street conversion. Riding the feck out of it this summer and it's still a great dual sport. I posted a video of me on the DR and my buddy on his CR85 recently you can see some shots of it on my "RELP Ride" vid. Thinking about the 440 kit this winter, maybe...
Nice looking clean bike! I like the tires, yellow letter maxxis on sidewall, how big the back tire is. Can you please tell me what size that back tire is? I just got a 96 dr 350se and the back tire is kind of small. thanks
Aren't you a little worried that the gnarly scar on the swing arm from the kick stand will weaken it? It looks pretty darn deep ... don't know if I would trust it but I just bought a '97 DR today and haven't even ridden it so what do I know? Squat, basically.
SoulDaddy33 Yeah, that was from the kick stand rubbing on it, A tack weld was put on the kick stand to stop that problem. As far as the strength I'm not quite sure, but it has held up to some 6th gear jumps, so I'm not too worried lol
