Dracula A.D. 1972 opening titles 

I love how they cut in the shot of the plane to bring the audience from the past into the then current day 1972.

I know it may look and sound a bit old fashioned today, but back in the early seventies it was one of the most exciting British horror films around. Absolutely unforgettable.

What a tremendous time capsule into early 1970s western civilization.

Yeah! Listen to that 1970s funky music! All we need now is some 70s cop cars crashing into empty cardboard boxes in a dirty alley. Fantastic!

I watch this more than any other Hammer film.

I hear people complain and complain about this movie. "its not true to the novel" they say "feels more like a detective show than Dracula" they say. I have got this movie DVD of Christopher Lee with Peter Cushing Michael Coles Christopher Neame and Caroline Munro in Dracula A.D 1972 I am dedicating this movie DVD to my old school friends who are both sisters and I hope to see them both again very soon to Chris and Hester from Billyxxx

Great film, captures the mood of the era very well. Sure, those 'young hippies' are silly but everything else is spot on.

I love this film. Every time I see it i like it better.

In most of the film, the church exterior (and interior) must have been a set at Elstree, so it would be interesting to know where the 1872 part of this sequence was shot. If you look at the church walls, they don't look very solid, but that's not obvious if you focus on the funeral.

Good job it cuts off just before that dreadful Stoneground start playing.
