I LOVED THIS CARTOON WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL, NOW I AM A FULL GROWN WOMAN DROOPY IS STILL ONE OF MY FAVORITE CARTOONS, I WISH SOMEONE WOULD PUT CARTOONS LIKE THIS BACK ON T.V. IT MIGHT BECOME A HIT AGAIN!!!!

Is the wolf in this episode the same wolf that appeared in Billy Boy?

Nope. The Southern wolf wouldn't appear until 1953 in his first appearance with Droopy in The Three Little Pups. Slick/Joe Wolf made a series of episodes and Drag-A-Long Droopy being his last one, before his retirement.
