@@blueman5924 just think about it the water pressure at that speed will blow your insides up like a water balloon and then pop them if you are not wearing that special underwear
@@donziperk maybe not. So you telling me these guys wear nothing to prevent this from happening when something goes wrong like this? I mean seems he could have died because of no sort of harness.
@@Bigpopp1 nope don’t wear anything in open boats as the idea is to be thrown clear. They wear a parachute to slow them down quickly. Top fuel boats have survival capsules that they are strapped into. They wear a fresh air mask and there is a bottle in canopy. The capsule breaks free from the boat and floats.
You would rather be stuck in an open cockpit boat if it flipped over and came down on top of you? You must have a death wish. It’s better to get away from the boat than stay in it. The only boats with seatbelts also have roll cages and they go a lot faster than this boat does and you’re still likely to get extremely hurt when the capsule goes skipping across the water at well over 270mph. Just look at Scott Lumbert.
Most of those guys bust their ass 9-5 M-F so they can go racing on the weekend and more than a few are lucky enough to have enough friends willing to put the time in to see their friend get on the water and race.
Not having any proper restraints on. When the parachute opened it created drag decreasing the speed of the boat rapidly. He didn’t slow down at the same rate but he wasn’t attached to the boat properly.
