We are entering the month of Regional events
Across the world, each weekend will be filled with drag and drive events!! Seven events in total for the month!!
Kicking the month off is
Carolina Drag Cruise - April 4-7 at Shadyside Dragway in Shelby, NC
5th - 7th in Warwick Australia, the Road Trip Drag Challenge starts their season of 4 events!
The next weekend, Central Georgia Battle of the Streets runs their postponed event with tech and registration on the 13th and driving/racing on the 14th
For the third weekend, Central Victorian will start on Thursday April 18! With The Circuit starting on Friday April 19. We have something working for competition between the two events as well….. We’ll talk about that more shortly!
Rounding out the month is two awesome events!
Friday April 26, KOTOR starts in OKC and Cruise & Lose starts in Pacific Junction, IA. both events will run all weekend!
That is SEVEN events in April!! That is 700+ drag and drive racers for the month!!
New Event has been announced - Cackalacky Run for the end of March 2025! Hosts include Sharon and Jared Klausner and Anthony Harville. Long time drag and drive racers taking up the reins of hosting and promoting.
The Circuit 2024 presented by Summit Racing
We are three weeks from the event and I am getting so anxious! I spoke with Rick Dodge last night for 90 minutes about the tech and registration process for this year! Yes, you heard that right, THE Rick Dodge is coming to do tech for the event!
As you heard on the last Drag Drive Repeat Show, Trackside Media is the newest team added to the list of coverage! We will also have Urban Hillbilly on site all weekend. That puts us at 12 media outlets on site!!
Drag Drive Repeat is dedicated to the drag and drive communtiy! We will visit with participants of events like Summit Racing Midwest Drags, Hot Rod Drag Week, Rocky Mountain Race Week 1.0 and 2.0, Sick Week, and many of the other events that are beginning to happen!
If you are new to drag and drive style events, think of it like Two Lane Blacktop (you know, the old movie with the horrible ending). The participants of these events will drive their car from track to track, on public roads/highways, allowed only to use the parts/tools they bring with them in the car or in a trailer towed by the racecar. You must be self sufficient to compete in this type of endurance drag racing! There are no trucks with trailers that are following you to pick you up when you break.
