If you are new to drag and drive style events, think of it like Two Lane Blacktop (you know, the old movie with the horrible ending). The participants of these events will drive their car from track to track, on public roads/highways, allowed only to use the parts/tools they bring with them in the car or in a trailer towed by the racecar. You must be self sufficient to compete in this type of endurance drag racing! There are no trucks with trailers that are following you to pick you up when you break.
I was in Big Sky Race Week and they told us we set a record for the Hi-Line Dragstrip in Malta, the most cars the track has had for an event. All the track crews were great and the Malta crew knocked it out of the park getting a wet muddy facility able to support a side by side 4.8 and 4.9 sec runs!
I saw this basic set up at Kentucky Speedway a few years back, they could take any car, use stock manifolds & 2 bbl carborat res, this was similar to how the drivers stayed cool per that race rules, then KY Speedway made ALL drivers put a 8 inch aluminum wing across the top of each race car in order to slow them down
Funny to see a Hemi in the Shoebox.............but maybe the owner got a good deal on it...............LS isn't original anyway..............obviously the owner made it work...............a lot of room under the hood of a Shoebox

Such a beautiful truck I wish they brought back classic looks on all vehicles instead of cookie cutter crap. I blame NASCAR it use to drive innovation now you just change stickers
