As a 40-something mum/mom, I’m not always the most confident. When I’m not feeling it, I think “Juno Birch won’t stand for this!” So I look in the mirror and say “You are absolutely stunning! Gorgeous!” In my best Juno voice. It makes me giggle and I instantly feel better. It’s as if the spirit/essence of Juno has taken over and commands “Damn straight! Don’t knock the little eyeshadow sponge brushes! They’re actually really good for getting your eyeshadow, even the cruddy ones, and especially the sparkly ones on super pigmented. Brushes dust it on so you sometimes have trouble building up colour but the sponges really lay it down. If you’re using high quality stuff it’s less relevant, you can usually build colour with brushes with those quite easily but with your typical drugstore makeup they’re actually a game changer. You can pick up a big pack of them for pretty cheap too if you’re worried about not being able to clean them or colours mixing too much.

I absolutely adore her hooded lids, they look like a naturally cut crease even with no makeup whatsoever
