STAHP I MISSED THE MY GIRL REFERENCE! I still haven’t forgiven my mom for not warning me when she saw me watching it of my own volition when I was like 14years old.
Every time does they are ghaty close I remember that during this time. They would not have had great dental hygiene and it just makes it that much more funny
I also kinda lolled at Katya, an Irish-American, mispronouncing her Irish last name as “Cog-lan” when it’s actually “Cock-lan” - there’s a missed joke opportunity there and everything 😅
@@BlackMaryMackThe first time I got stung by a bee I was 30+, and it was in my pocket, and I was just coming out of a cinema, in to a mall-type situation. …It was odd.
talented, brilliant, amazing, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, sh*t on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.
This is honestly the best thing Netflix has ever produced and it's not even on their service. That they haven't given these two their own Mystery Science Theater 3000 style show yet is a crime.
I don't know if that's Midwestern specifically. I've heard old ladies from different regions pronounce it that way, so it may just be generational. Trixie is just being silly.
8:30 "Omg he's gonna My Girl" LOL Katya deadass using the movie My Girl as a verb to describe someone dying of anaphylactic shock after being stung by a bee 🤣🤣
13:56 Trixie: "Oh my God it's Giles from Buffy" LOL I said the same thing when he came on my screen during the Sheffield Dinner. Anthony Stewart Head is ICONIC.
He saw his mother, who had a love match with his father, suffer tremendously when his father died. He doesn't want a love match, he wants a traditional marriage, because he doesn't want to be hurt that way nor does he want his wife to be hurt like his mother was when he dies.
“If there was this giant inheritance and I just had to get married? I’ll marry him. I’ll marry him. I’ll marry anyone over there”🤣🤣🤣 Trixie’s expression when delivering this line, I died.
Anthony is traumatized watching his father die in front of him, so that scene triggered his memories. What's so sad is that as soon as father died he was given all these responsibilities as the Viscount...I mean his father wasn't even buried yet and all his stay within 24 hours is asking him what to do; not to mention his pregnant mom is having a total breakdown. So his issue is love, he saw his mother just checked out after losing her husband. He never wanted to go through that kind of experience or let anyone mourn for him in that way. So his coping method was to remain as emotionally unavailable as possible and try to control his family. He's been groom for the past 10 years to take care of everyone's needs but his own so he remained engage to finish what he started in his checklist for a prospective wife. Kate was the game changer for him and instead of accepting the truth he kept resorting to his "duty".
Every attempt they have ever made at any accent is hilarious but I’m especially obsessed with whatever those accents were supposed to be when they shouted out the incredible Nicola Coughlan 💀💀💀
hate that they made edwina this way because people will think badly of kanthony for going behind ediwna's back. In the books, edwina was fully supportive of kanthony and wasn't surprised that they were going to get married
I have been waiting to see if other book readers feel the same way as me. Book 2 is my favorite in the series and I am highly disappointed how they created this fall out with Edwina & Kate. In the books, Edwina is intelligent, observant, & charming... she never fell for Anthony and knew Kate/Anthony were into each other long before either of them were willing to admit it.
I’m more against the couple because Anthony is such a douche. They make Kate apologize for going behind people’s backs and treating Edwina as a child, but Anthony never saws sorry to anyone, not even his mother who totally deserves it. We’re all just supposed to forgive him for being an ass cause he’s a sad boy😒
@@mariadantzler2991 dang I haven’t read the books (yet) but the actual plot line sounds much better than what they did. More Pride and Prejudice like lol
This was more enjoyable than the show. More of them please! 10:00 “This going to get single women to go out in public to get stung by bees and hope for the best. At Barnes and Nobles… (stabbing gesture) hello?!” This had me lmao
I was so upset at them for trying to push the narrative of Edwina being in love with Anthony, I was like "no she was not, move on, she was in love with someone else, get with it jade"
@@aaronemerson8049 the thing is, kate and anthony had enough drama themselves to make it more than entertaining enough for tv, but they literally threw all of that out the window to push the "in love with my sisters fiancé" narrative when their story was supposed to focus on the enemies to lovers aspect
@@hannahali5317 same! ugh, that scene was so good, it was everything, they cut so much from the book, it made their relationship seem a bit rushed/superficial, its such a shame, cause when i was reading the books i felt like no other couple in the series could ever top their romance
You skipped the best scene!!!! The scene in episode 8, when Anthony is told that Kate is awake... that reaction, the relief from him... I couldn't stop crying.
Couple days before season 2 released (I didn’t research when it will come out) I was wishing season 2 came out soon as I was watching RU-vid videos of Bridgeton
Didn’t watch the first season but had to support my fellow South Asian gals so I checked this out! Overall the romance was solid just wish there were more Kate Anthony scenes where we see them falling for each other. It’s like the film ‘The Proposal’ it had lots of them bickering then a few scenes of them happy but I’d have preferred more build up that wasn’t sidetracked by sub plots (The Proposal and the Kate-Anthony relationship). Other than that this was solid and I can understand why people like it so much.
6:10 I think it's real hair too, I know some women have a perfect widow's peak like that because I've seen it on the Nanny. Fran Drescher literally had the most beautiful hairline I've ever seen in my entire life.
re: re her hairline being “too thick” or whatever, indian women often have thick, dense hair. before the depression and ptsd hit i used to have a full head of hair like that too and i’m only half indian … it was the most attractive thing about me and i miss it so much 😔
@@sureal9048 when her hair is down, I feel like that's her real hair. For the updos, I wouldn't be surprised if they added something. Even if her hair is very full, synthetic hair is added to hold the style sometimes.
My mother started watching the first season and Istg every time I walk in it's like she's watching soft core at 2 in the afternoon in the living room and it's wild
Simone Ashley's hair is always beautiful 🥰. She also plays Olivia in Sex Education, her hair is amazing in that too!! I got stung by a bee a month ago and I had to deal with it myself 🤣🐝 Love the reactions and commentary on this!
I was THE ONLY ONE yelling, screaming & cheering at Trixie & Katya Live in Seattle! I was embarrassed for the crowd that sat around like we were at church & not the GREATEST LIVE SHOW OF ALL TIME!
I believe I have identified the greatest distance in our current understanding of the universe: the space between the appreciation I have for Trixie Mattel's and Katya's delightful impromptu banter and the revulsion I have toward "Bridgerton Season 2."
