Despite a lot of the queens having the same/similar ideas for their outfits, this was one of my favorite balls in a while. They really brought it. Also Elektra's ride look was inspired by a meme of a person dressed as Valak from The Nun movies dancing in the middle of a Gravitron (those rides that spin really fast with everyone standing on the edge) that got really popular in Mexico
Once again a brilliant review. I don't like when they call it a ball,but all the outfits are brought from home. The worst though was the Dance Challenge,one team were far worse than the other,but if it had been a lipsync and lyric writing challenge as well,the outcome may have been different. So I agree it does seem too easy for the Queens. Early on though you can see that judges have their favourites as well,which annoys me more than anything.
Another thing cause I'm currently watching it, seeing you get teary eyed about Vanjie, I was the same when I first watched it. Vanjie has been one of my top 3 queens since her mtq, her being a fellow Libra & her energy just speaks to me. Just love love love Vanessa Vanjie. I will forever root for her & want the best for her. 💛

This ball (we love a ball challenge) was amazing, most of these runways are top tier, my clear tops were correct (Eva, Leexa & Horacio) but Maria did not deserve that bottom placement, it should have been Sucu. I also thought Eva edged Leexa out just a bit but the win went elsewhere. It's a tight race for sure. 💛
The challenges have felt like diet drag race so far tbh. A ball with no sewing? A solo choreo challenge? What about either of those feels even up to par to season 5 of the OG drag race? They need to use the format of the OG series and then cater the challenges to what makes the drag from that country unique🤷🏼♂️
I feel like they’re doing it their own way. I think they did a ball also last season without a design part…well maybe it wasn’t DRM, but I recall one franchise in 2023 having a ball without a design.
8:31 I kept track on this episode re Taiga’s eyes. Out of drag it’s even more obvious as she doesn’t sport as much make up. However, I noticed it was not the same eye between the mini-challenge and the judges table. So maybe some of these images were reversed, or it’s not a natural thing, and Taiga put contacts in whatever eye she feels like.
