Getting the setup dialled in is taking some serious effort. Give a drag racing noob a boosted car and this is what happens 😂 Things take really long. But I'm learning along the way which is great. Let's see what I can do tomorrow at Street mania. Hopefully a 12 is in the bag.

@@lowdl thats the way... i think you hit sweet spot with boost coz you lagged just a bit when hitting 3rd so any more you gonna sit in more lag. But yasis that cheers bru for the beams hahahahah
@@YusufPetersenCPT I had to hit the Beams with that one 😂 I shifted to 3rd slowly so that I don't mess up the run. Haha. But I needed to get my dak back.
Hey Bud, while racing that beams and you sat with him and when you changed to 2nd gear i shouted yes, i think you should turn it up a bit more till you find the sweet spot. Keep up the good work buddy i was really excited and do you maybe know what your times was

I've had that rear view camera for a while now. It's needed to give more context to the racing. It's really boring if I'm ahead and there's nothing to look at. Haha.

@@ganiefismail3761 For sure. I could see it when I ran a 13.1. 1st and 2nd gripped up really well and the car moved out good. The 12's is coming soon but running it consistently is going to be a challenge.

@@sagepoggenpoel712 If I could I would raise the rpm to 9000. 😅 But like Andrew said, it's risky revving a stock head that high. If a valve gets unhappy that's an engine gone.

The times I ran was not great, 13.9's. But it was a good night of testing. I realised that I need to change my setup for night events. My launch rpm is too high amongst other things. I'm racing tomorrow so hopefully I'll see some good times 🙏
Try a step instead of ramping to your max boost. The ramp will always enhance the wheel spin. So try logging what your top speed and first gear and set that to the same boost. Then step up the the next boost u need to run in 2nd and then anything for second and third could be a ramp.
That makes sense but but the boost fluctuates and ramps on its own because of the size of the turbo. It doesn't hit the target quickly. Top of 1st is 0.8 bar and 72km/h. Going into 2nd the boost dips and vehicle speed dips because wheel speed and vehicle speed is not the same going into 2nd gear. Into 2nd gear im doing around 50km and then it needs to build again and hits about 1.2/3 bar peak. If the wheels spins going into 2nd gear, wheel speed and vehicle speed needs to play catch up and that throws off my boost by speed setting which I didn't account for. WIthout wheel spin, it would be simple. Or simpler. And ramping 3rd and 4th isn't worth while because the turbo does the ramping and I want all the boost in those gears because it doesn't spin.
@@lowdl I am not saying you need to ramp after 2nd gear. What is base spring pressure ? What is target boost in 1st gear vs the boost you can achieve in 1st gear? And the same for 2nd?
@@ares65 that's correct. It's only in 4th gear that it's able to hit and hold the target. We're going to change the boost solenoid to force the wastegate closed. It should hit the target sooner in each gear.
