First time out of the driveway, since multiple hurdles with front suspension. lol. 3 years to get this far. Drives different and easier with rack. Hard to judge 137+ mph. 5 year old engine still runs strong.
@@Anarchy-Is-Liberty Yes i do, but just realized license is expired. Go to the BMV, and they cannot process any license renewal, that was Saturday, went to APD yesterday to make video, and forgot to go to BMV😶
You had the choice of doing what “they” have trained us to do, or doing videos to document your amazing accomplishments. You made the right choice ✌🏻🇺🇸🏁
Yes! Absolutely nothing like the sound of your Halstead built Ford Boss Cleveland engine 😁 i pray the girls keep and race it for decades to come. Thanks!
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Tim from the early days of our discussions, you were hopeful for your daughters to get seriously involved with Drag Racing. At first they just seemed casually interested. But just look at them now. You’ve given them hands on experience and they are enjoying the excitement that surrounds Dads racing endeavors. The smiles upon their faces and twinkle in their eyes tells the rest of the story. They are clearly digging the whole scene, thanks to you my friend 🏁
@danielwilson6665 you are so right. I have noticed it too these past few weeks. They even said the noise and smells, Izzy said she loves the smell of race fuel and alcohol with the scent. We will see how it goes and be grateful for every second. Mrs. DragBoss is getting excited about the 69. Lots going on. And even more on the next episode for DBG 💯 real, real family. Glad your here for the journey
@@DragBoss351Cleveland From the time your darling daughters first began appearing in your videos right up to now, I’ve watched their level of enthusiasm change from easily distracted to a genuine WOW IM REALLY DOING THIS THING AND ITS TOTALLY AMAZING ! In 1963 my first time at the strip was to watch big brother compete in a 426 wedge powered Dodge. The same sensations your daughters are now enjoying, took me by storm at the tender age of 9. The constantly changing aromas of high octane leaded gasoline, the occasional sharp twinge of nitro along with mellow sweetness of methanol had a hypnotic effect in the pits. The roar at the starting was an amazing blend of blown 392 HEMI’s and the powerful big and small blocks of the day. By 1964 I was hopelessly hooked and big brother put me on the lifelong path of winners by switching to the legendary Ford 427 High Riser powered ‘64 Fairlane Thunderbolt. That’s how lifetime memories are born. The people and places are long gone now. That’s how I know how important it is to have the whole family playing together at the drags. The moments build a bond of family love and cherished memories for a lifetime. Savor these moments Tim. You already know how quickly time passes by. It’s a pleasure to be along for the journey.
Hey DB, keep forgetting to mention how cool ( and practical) your install is of the 5 guage center cluster. That entire center dash layout looks neat, clean and professionally done. Sometimes that stuff is challenging in terms of not junking up and otherwise beautiful interior 😂 You hit a home run with yours, and the camera is brilliant too. In closing, I was going to comment on the engine sounds...........BUT THEY CLEARLY SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES 😂😂😂👍😾. Take care DB.
Thank you Bob. I do love that little set up. Made it out of cardboard and then aluminum. Fits perfect. Thank you. Yes both cam to video and back up cam great idea for sure. Love the sound, louder the better.
Nice to see you get the cougar out and stretch it's legs. The Cleveland might have been asleep for a while, but it's awake now, sounds great. Can't wait to hear it do a 7000 RPM run. ( or more )
Back in the 80s, had dad's 1973 mustang given to me. 2bbl. 351C. Only changed to 500cfm Holley 2bbl., 3.50 traction loc, slicks. She went 14.5s all day at Maple Grove in Pa.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Now that’s what I’m talking about, my friend LOL. And seeing how little effort was required for making those turns, the linkage and R&P steering upgrades are working really well 🏁
Nope, no negative attention, to be attracted here, from neighbors etc.. Not that I ain’t done worse. If you’ve got ignition switch separate from the starter, might try cranking, with ignition off, till it’s up to speed, then switch on the ignition. As that way you’re not cranking against the timing. How’s it driving now? Alignment done yet? Good to see it rolling under power. Thanks for sharing, Tim
I do have a separate but don’t use it. It only cranks hard, battery needs to be charged. It is 11 years old. Timing locked at 32. Drives better, race alignment done. Drives well, need to get used to it.
Damn. If feels so damn good to hear a Cleveland again! Thank God you had a awesome mic on that camera. Know the pain....it just gets more complicated with injected cars....Im on my 6th time taking the engine out of the car on my 03 Mach 1....
That I cannot imagine. I had to take trans out after installing, because I forgot a snap ring on output shaft of transmission. Front end 3 different revisions. Can only imagine yanking engine 6 times.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland Even made Me smile... Mom's in Hospice so it's been a very rough couple weeks. Definitely NEEDING a Cedar Point trip soon to attempt to clear my mind. I'd like to schedule it around your timing too so we can hook up
I turned it up just a bit to hear that beauty and thought I was just so into imagining I was there I was feeling it then realized my phone was actually vibrating with the car that's crazy awesome I literally was able to feel the engine

Love the ride-along! Kitty's out of the cage and ready! Time to let her rip! May Your runs be safe, straight and yield Her best times ever. K.T.F. and You will make it happen, My Brother. Look forward to riding along with you again. 🙂
Sounds awesome mate love it. Cool tip not sure if it’s your thing but I clocked all of my gauges so the needle is pointing straight up at operating temp, so I just need a quick glance and and if all the needle’s are pointing all good.
Man that is almost to nice of a car to have all that power for the possibly of something going very wrong. You might want to think about retiring her from drag race duties and get something more disposable to race? Beautiful car sounds strong.😎👍
I have been watching your videos about Bob Glidden and the 351cleveland engine with the heads discussed about it I have not been in racing for a while now but I have always been interested in trying something different in aspects of the Ford engines and cars just missing horsepower all together this is giving me motivation I appreciate your videos and I will continue watching them for research and information
@jefferylayfield5788 thanks Jeffery appreciated. Yes we all need motivation sometime or another. No time better than now to get building your version. Glad you’re here.
People listen to me...if you don't have a hotrod get one ... build one..new conventional cars are boring...i sometimes go out ahd crank my cammed Corvette just to hear that cam chopping...its awesome 😊
