Melody’s on cloud 9 right now to be on stage with loverboy and Abigail was in the background on drums too,as the song says lovein every minute of it. Rock on and rock hard kids
Hey Melody I saw Loverboy live in 1982 and you have the energy Mike Reno had back then. Amazing vocals from both of you. Thank you for a great performance Loverboy and Liliac Band!
I'm originally from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada and I worked at our hockey arena and had the privilege to setup stage for Loverboy when they first opened for a group called Prism. It was great to meet Mike and the band. Now I have another band to follow and that's Liliac.
AWESOME! Great Job Aby and Melody!!! One of the best and most underrated bands of the 80's! Hope you can get some shows or venues booked in So Cal! You are on the verge of greatness!!! I remember a up and coming band that opened for the likes of 38 Special and Ratt and soon they became the biggest thing since sliced cheese......BON JOVI!!!!! You can be the next version!!!!!!!!
Just keep smiling and having fun with it.. For that is what Rock-n-Roll is all about ! When the fun is no more.. The music becomes boring.. Rock has to have life Breathed into it.. Just keep doing what you are all doing.. The ride is gonna be very adventurous.. I envy you all..
Melody!!! When up on stage with the "heavy hitters" of rock..... the "stars of the stage," respect their place as a professional and rock star.... BUT DON'T FORGET.... YOU... ARE... ONE ... TOO!!!! REALLY!! KEEP ON KEEPING ON!!! PEACE 🤘
Back then 30 bucks was expensive for a concert ticket. Today, 100 bucks gets you a nosebleed section ticket. Front row-600 or more. That's because back then rock star revenue mostly came from album and single sales. Today, performer revenue mostly comes from concerts. In the 80's I paid 12-18 bucks per concert. I had an "in" with the director of security and he saw to it that my seat was in the terrace, directly above stage left, basically spitting distance. I saw a lot of behind the scenes stuff from that seat.
WOW, Mike Reno is one cheeseburger away from flying over a NASCAR race with the words GoodYear printed on him. Lilliac is the future of Rock and Roll. Thank God there are young people out there who love hard rock and Heavy Metal and are willing to do whatever it takes to keep the Flame burning. How many original member of Loverboy are still playing in the band these days? I still remember when they were just getting broken in touring for their first record.....LOL.
Yeah I was telling a friend I saw them in 97 and 2001...he said he thought they were not around then . LEGENDS Never Die it seems these days...all classic bands seem to tour relentlessly...peace.
I wonder how many groupies from the 80's are saying holy crap I did that. The lead guitarist should've shared his whiskey and coke with the lead singer.
I'd like to remember the bands of my youth at the top of their game, not like this. There's a time to stop and let the next generation start their progression to stardom. I hope Liliac can be one of those bands that will be playing until the generation of 30 years from now and give their throne up while still being remembered as we do all the great bands of the 80s. ROCK ON FOR EVER.
