The qunari were always supposed to have horns. Sten was one of the rare hornless variety. Look at some of the earlier DA:O art and you see qunari with horns. They didn't "remodel" them at all.
It's not that bad. The biggest problems I had were the lack of graphical improvements, the small playing area and the relatively short main story. By the way, most qunari have horns... Sten was one of the rare exceptions.
I know its ALOT late to replay but i'd like to give my two cents on your opinion. first off I like the change they gave the qunari mostly because they're supposed to be a race that makes people scared shitless. i'd be more scared of an 8 foot tall scary looking horned man rather than a guy who is just a few inches taller than me. Also flemeth is supposed to be "Neither an abomination nor darkspawn nor even human." so it would make sense to make flemeth more freaky looking than in the first game
Wow this...actually seems like the better outcome than the one I always choose, to try and help him out only for him to combust :/ It follows his belief and you actually get some respect from a foreign enemy...that is actually, in my books, very good :D Imma gonna do this option now.
When he screamed "kill it, kill them all," I looked @ my cousin (who actually owns the game) and said, "I thought he was supposed to be the smart one!"
@awesomecoprez Originality yes, Ketojan, that Qunari mage was going to be able to join your party but like Jowan in Origin that idea was scrapped. Much to our dissapointment.
they didn't mess the game up in my opinion. Dragonage was pretty linear as well. It all ended with you killing the archdemon or making someone else do it, and returning to camp. I like this ones story. And Sten is a rank in the qunari. They chaged the qunari so they looked more like the ogres thus making the assumption that Qunari Broodmothers pushed out ogres.
Dang, this event always ends in death...In my case, they attacked my Lady Hawke because I pointed out I was a mage too and they freaked out a liiiiitle. Same reaction happens if you point out Anders. Too bad Sarabas offs himself either way...
I agree, in parts. I prefer the dialogs in DA2, and the fact that you have voice too. but for me, that's all. the whole story's in kirkwall, while in origins you were to wander the world. orzammar, the deep roads with the broodmother, anvil of the void, or the elves & werewolves. plus stories, the archdeamon and the wardens, the fight scenes at the end as well as in ostagar, flemeth and her background and a sweet revenge. nope, for me it was more colorful than DA2.
Thanks. Normally I can tell why people are angry at a game especially sequal but this time I just don't see it, it's still pretty hard to beat, to me the plot is pretty great aside from over using time warp. I like Varric better than any other DA characters. Maybe they don't like how you can't equip your companions properly anymore? Maybe, still I think people blew this way out of proportion.
@Guanchen Yeah, they fucked up bad. Everything in dragon age origins was better, and then they just fucked it all up. THye made flemmith look like a joke! The qunari don't look like people, more demonic creatures. The story is to linear aswell.
@Zeelxx shit. i did pre order it, but i had to go out of town so i told my brother he could have it when it came in and i would get mine later. damnit.
@TheCondemnedProphet I didn't think they fucked up. I like Hawke better than Warden. Plus Grey Warden is a thankless job that comes with no status (hardly, people who would treat u like dirt will still treat you like dirt after you turned into warden). Hawke went from nobody to noble to Champion of Kirkwall. Plus dialogs are funnier in DA2 :P Don't go listen to what those dumb reviews say. Play the game and judge it for yourself.
@Guanchen I did play the game, the story was worse, the gameplay was far to repedetive (Like the first one) but the boring gameplay made it worse aswell. The only thing that was better was the fact that hte game had better dialogue.
@Guanchen Im literally playing it right now. And its boring as hell, its a real disapointment. Dragon age origins had a lot more freedom, DA2 is completely linear in terms of comparison to the first.
