@@TheNSJaws Considering Talis flirts with a male Hawke, also, I'd say it is pretty reasonable to assume she is bi, also. Isabella only has more evidence to her being bi because her character has more screen time between running into her as the Warden in Origins and her being a companion in DA2. Proportionately speaking, I'd say there is as much evidence of Tallis being bi as there is for Isabella. Still, I see your point. :-)
@@GothicElf68 yeee, but you got Hepler (one of the writers) saying everyone is "Hawkesexual" aka they don't have a sexuality unless Hawke somehow defines it, which although bullshit, is a legit argument I saw some fans use. I just wanna avoid it in the future, when someone inevitably @s me with that exact line of reasoning. You're all good my dude.
Male hawke player here. I pretty much got the word for word dialouge as seen in this video. Except Tallis asked my Hawke if there was a "little lady on the throne" with him instead of a husband. :p
@@andreaghidini4884 you can be bi and still have a preference, besides if you compare her dialogues she is more jealous of fem hawke Tallis: (Laughs) So it's true what they say about you. (To a male Hawke) Oh it is. Trust me. // (To a female Hawke) She likes rogues. Rivaini rogues especially.
@@ember9361 Yes you can but the argument that Isabela "prefers women" is still weak even if these vids different gender based responses by her were accurate, which they're not since they're still almost identical. Plus her only love (a part from hawke) was a man. So, the only argument behind her preference are dialogues in a DLC which she actually says in both cases. This might only imply that she's a bit less insecure with a male hawke, not her preference.
@@derokdeathaxe6984 How would it mean that exactly? I've heard people suggest this before but I've never really heard an explanation & there is evidence that contradicts that idea. For example a romanced Isabella of either gender Hawke is willing to have a casual fling with Zevran unless either Hawke objects. Also her only relationships outside of flings has been with men. Lastly, if she supposedly "prefers" women than why not more the merrier? At best this exchange suggests that she's slightly more insecure in her relationship with fHawke (maybe due to being her first actual relationship with a woman) than she is with MHawke but the "prefers women" theory really doesn't add up.
@C B People in general have their own personal quirks & whatever yours are do not automatically present a logical assumption for any other women & in particular how it pertains to Isabella in this case. As I have previously mentioned there are specific instances that contradict this idea in regards to Isabella.
@C B If you played the game you'd know that the only deep and meaningful relationship Isabella ever had was with a man. Like I said your personal relationship quirks are not a logical assumption for Isabella or any other real life women. A reminder that my original response was to someone who made the false erroneous conclusion that Isabella must "prefer women" because of seemingly being more jealous acting when the *female* elf flirts with FemHawke compared to MHawke when everything we know about her only meaningful romantic relationship contradicts that idea.
@C B You can hypothesize and use random faux bisexual celebrities who "prefer women" all you want but that doesn't change that it's a total leap in logic to make that conclusion about Isabella. I didn't say she for sure prefers men anyway. I just said that all the available evidence about her "if anything" suggests a preference for men, making the conclusion that she prefers women all the more erroneous. Her only close relationship was with a man and even the vast majority of her casual flings are with men.
F*cking finally! I'd been waiting for ages for the femhawke version ever since I learned she didn't get jealous of malehawke flirting shamelessly with Tallis. Thanks for the upload!
@BeachChickThe As I see it, she can play indifferent before her final questioning beliefs conversation, but after that and after the endgame goodbyes (where she basically says she loves Hawke) it’s a step back.
Also, if you look really closely in Supernatural, there is a Dragon Age 2 cameo with Tallis during the RenFaire episode when gamers are playing DA2 on their computers.
@BeachChickThe Hehe I’m killing a dragon and replying to comments at the same time ;) Skyrim YEY ^^ What I mean is that she can play indifferent till she says “I love you”, but after that she can’t continue to pretend she doesn’t care. The thing is that in MotA she does, so if it’s played after her ‘confession’, it’s like a step back. I don’t know how to explain it better
Slightly jealous? She hardly makes a peep when M!Hawke does it. I mean, dude, as the awesome sir below me commented...men are good for one thing, women for six. That cannot be more true.
Shipping? You know, kind of like, I root for them as a couple. It's Tumblr language. And I hope so too. I actually thought about that before my Hawke slept with her. I was thinking,"Is Hawke going to wake up tomorrow feeling all happy and satisfied, only to start burning like someone's roasting marsh mellows between her legs." Ha.
Rogue, assassin is one of the specializations ... along with Bard, Ranger, Duelist, Shadow, Legionnaire Scout, Marksman, Swashbuckler and Royal Archer ... though some of the first four are from Origins, next two are from Awakening, and the last three are NPC only.
I assume the line difference comes from the 'Friend vs Rival' romance. If you go Rival with her, she does seem to change a bit and be more monogamous I gues?
HAHAHAHA! Five beers and a sandwich...that's good. I actually chuckled at that, lol. But anyways, I don't even know what the point of this whole conversation was. I just really loved Isabela's reaction here because I ship her with F!Hawke so hard, I actually feel pain. I cannot wait for DA3! Pre-ordering that shit.
She just tells you something along the lines "Do you think I went through all of that just to give it away now?" and proceeds to give you the jewel. Disappointing.
@@GothicElf68 (UPD: I was wrong, read my next comment) Not a theory, one of BW devs confirmed it on Twitter. And there was enough of hints to suggest that Aria is "the asari merc" from Wrex' past, the most obvious one was her "Better luck next time" line.
She says the exact same things with a fully romanced Male Hawke. Word for word. Only difference is a response she gives: With female hawke, she says the "She likes the roguish rivanians" while with a male hawke she says that all the good things about male hawke are true to the core. Technically speaking, this implies a much less insicure Isabela with a male hawke. So, Isabela doesn't prefer male or female hawke. It's the same.
Honestly it’s a shame that with Isabella she gets “Jealous.” I mean her character clearly doesn’t mind multiple partners. So you think that she would be a-okay with Hawke having flings
Most of the evidence suggests she prefers men as sexual partners but probably feels easier to bond with women on an emotional level. If Zevran is alive in DAII she will eagerly proposition him for sex even she is being romanced by female Hawke. Even assuming the "prefers women" theory was in fact the case why would she be hesitant about Tallis? 3 women? More the merrier right? What six things do you think she was talking about? Some think she was talking about a sandwich and five beers. :p
How does her getting slightly more jealous of femhawke flirting means she prefers women????? Likely her attitude would have been the same for mhawke if Tallis was male.
