Out of all characters I love the interactions between the girls, they are like sisters: Aveline the eldest and protective often on odds with much wilder but only slightly younger Isabela, however they would not hesitate to fight whoever would be dumb enough to fight the other. Merrill being the youngest, cutest and go-happy that is being protected and taught by her older sisters.
Isabela: ...You can call me captain. Aveline: I won't be doing that. Isabela: Neither will I. Because you're a Guard Captain - no real authority. Not like on a ship. Aveline: Yes - a ship captain who led her entire crew to their deaths. You must be so proud. Isabela: I... shut up... Aveline: Aye-aye, captain.

It's not party banter, but my favourite is when Isabella falls and Aveline has to announce it. "Isabela's on the ground...appropriately!" Bitch, she's dead and you have to make a joke so soon???? LOL
This is one reason I usually had both avaline and isabela in my active party when I was a mage. When I was a reaver, I had isabela or varric along with merrily
"Shank your Jory" Poor Jory... The "Curl your toes" lines reminds me of Isabela promising Merrill to tell her stories that would "curl her toes"... what was she planning to "tell" her.
@xxshaheedaxx Yeah it can be a bit too much, most of the time it’s rather funny though. And I’m pretty sure she isn’t completely serious about it, especially later on.

Is there something I’m missing with the “thumb up his ass” thing? Is it a euphemism for something, or is she just being explicit? Varric saying “that old chestnut” is throwing me for a loop.
Isabella is probably the only person other then varric who doesn't give you bullshit sure they lie through their freakin teeth but I know they too so I don't trust one word out of their mouth but at least they entertain me
