I'm excited about this, but also a bit sad that we don't get to see the Inquisitor as the protagonist anymore. I mean, I get Hawke being pushed out of the spotlight, because the scope of his/her story was much smaller and their story was more about powerlessness while events spiralled into war, but the Inquisitor is essentially Solas' nemesis, the one who knew him as a friend and was betrayed. The one who discovered the truth about Mythal, created a potential EMPIRE. I also detest how the Inquisition effectively ends no matter what you choose. The writers clearly WANT the organization to be de-scaled or disbanded, because they have something else in mind, but it doesn't feel LOGICAL from the player's POV, because Solas is a threat that eclipses even Corypheus. Who in their sane mind would want the Inquisition gone with this looming over their heads? At the very least they could have gone "The Inquisition is lost because it's HOPELESSLY infested with Solas' spies, and we absolutely need to look for allies in Tevinter to stand a chance", but instead we get the illusion of choice, and the certainty that choosing to keep the Inquisition as a "peacekeeping force" for the Divine will bite us in the ass later on. I'll wait to see what kind of protagonist they bring in, but it will be hard to make them as personally involved with everything as the Inquisitor ended up. Losing an arm isn't enough to render them useless, I'm 100% sure that Dagna could whip up magical auto-mail if she wanted. ....Anyway, rant over. Looking forward to the next installment regardless of my doubts.

No, just leave Cullen be! He's done, the epilogues in Trespasser made that perfectly clear! Don't try to force him to come back, just rely on another character that might have room to be there!

Why would Cullen be the center of it all? And also Cullen isn't even a Templar anymore, you can take him off lyrium and marry him as inquisitor, and you can also leave him on lyrium, which makes him become a beggar, and it says it's unsure whether Scout Harding gave him some coin or stabbed him basically, so this information doesn't really make sense based on the choices you can make in Inquisition...

Please, please, please do away with side quests that have no relation to the world around it. Tighten it up, look to Origins as a n example. Also more story-led consequences. With each successive game our choices matter very little. Origins is still the gaming standard DA should be living up to. Strategy has already been sacrificed to flashy gameplay. Don't further sacrifice the actual role-playing in the RPG as well.

I really hope they improve the mage class. It was fun in inquisition, but nowhere near what mages were in origins. Anyway, nice video! It's always good to hear news like these to keep the hype up xD

I'm good with a new protagonist in each game as it allows for fresh inspiration and ideas as well as giving us that opportunity that I (and perhaps many?) love as an RPG fan, that feeling of building new relationships with characters you don't know. I would love for Morrigan to return as a main party companion but of course that is very unlikely as she was returned (albeit kind of cameo like) in DA:I.. I am truly excited for dragonage 4 of course but I would really like a return to some of the crpg elements of the original (again, I know this is unlikely to happen because people these days don't much like having to put thought into their gameplay outside of combat). In my opinion, multiplayer needs to be forgotten about in the RPG scene (a fact supported by a recent survery that shows that over 70% of RPG players consider multiplayer redundant). Oh also, bring Scout Harding back, like right now, and make her romancable :)

We need better side quest in DA4. Personally i wanna see Lelianna again she my fav character in DA series next to Varric.

Better hairstyles, better armor, more colors for hair. That's all that I can think of right now.

What I don't understand is how a grey warden could be forgotten after a blight. It seems like the kind of thing that would be scarred into people's minds for a very long time given how devastating it is.

how cool would it be to see all the Protagonist's of the first 3 games meet with the Protagonist of dragon age 4 you get the hero of ferelden, hawke and the inquisitor meet with the main character of dragon age 4

I would like my Queen of Ferelden from Dragon Age: Origins, to actually be the Queen of Ferelden.

Andromeda has taught us their is no bioware. At least not the bioware we've all come to trust and love. I for one will never spend money on anything with the bioware OR EA logo on it.

Mass Effect Andromeda just cancelled DLC. I get the feeling there won't be a sequel. Can they really commit to Dragon Age 5? If Dragon Age 4 sells poorly, are they bound by contract? I sure hope we can still play as Elves, Dwarves & Qunari again. Iron Bull joins Tal-Vashoth even if he stays loyal to the Qun (I saw the note to the inquisition they intercepted and those Trespasser Qunari were acting against the Arishok orders, that kinda makes them Tal-Vashoth). When Iron Bull betrays you, he doesn't survive (even the Black Whirlwind can't defeat the spirit monk). One thing I'd love to see is Felicia Day returning as Tallis ❤️

I miss Tallis voiced by Felicia Day. I would like to see her in the next game. So many great characters in this series. I'm super pumped for the next game.

I actually love having split maps in the game. What I do hope they'll give us is a day/night cycle. Characters that should come back: Alistair Leliana Morrigan Zevran Isabella Merril Varric Iron Bull Solas Vivienne Dorian All companions should be new, though.

I understand that they can't get the warden into the game because there's so many different endings for the first one but just the feel of your Inquisitor meeting with Hawk in the last game and doing missions beside him just felt so epic they could have two of your own made characters questing together was really awesome so I hope however they do it that we get that same feel in the next Dragon Age game

Tactics, definitely! i trust characters and plot will be good as usual, but (working) deeper tactics configuration must come back to give strategic volume. The DA Origin feel of sharply controlling team buddies behavior during fights was so far unmatched and must come back in DA serie!

Flemeth is an amazing character and I hope she makes an appearance again in some shape or form.

Just bring HoF back, even if it disrupts every world state..

I would like the story to go back to its darker tone. I want the architect, talking darkspawn, and the warden commander.

I really hope they do something with Cullen’s character. Imagine if they had one of those Fade moments where you had to sacrifice Hawke or a warden, except this time it's with Cullen and the Inquisitor. That would be especially difficult if you romanced him. Also, I think it would be cool if they had special dialogue if you had an elf that romanced Solas. I mean, they kind of have to do that or it wouldn't be right. ALSO In Inquistion, Iron Bull and Solas had a chess match as sort of a party banter thing when you're just walking around, so it would be neat if they used the same strategy that Solas had while playing chess (which was sacrifice all his chess pieces to win) as the strategy he uses to outplay the Inquisitor and the new character. It would be nice to have Fenris back helping the inquisition idk. They'll probably have a few characters from past games because like the Inquisitor said "then we find people he doesn't know," and I doubt Solas knows Zevran, Wynne or Isabella

I was okay with how the open-world was in Dragon Age Inquisition I like how each area was very large I didn't need it to be completely connected and never really bothered me

I really hope my inquisitor can be in the game.... just for a little bit

A surprising new protagonist? Truthfully the only surprise would be if the Warden came back cured, yet far more powerful....like memory wipe?

I want to see Sandel again. Wade and Herren. Kal-Sharok. I want to see diversity and choices again. I'm sick of how Bioware games went from allowing you to play a character who falls under the different alignments of the dungeons and dragons alignment table to having your character development "on rails" with the illusion of choice only to really get the options of Virtuous, Funny Virtuous, or Virtuous Douchebag. Seriously all the developers need to do is play Origins again to see what needs to be put in the game. How about some closure on the Architect? They also need to learn from Andromeda and make sure not to let the story take backseat to the gameplay because people don't play Bioware games for a refined combat experience; they play for diverse characters and compelling stories.

Well, since the world state of your own Inquisition has SO many possible variations, there's really only a handful of Inquisition characters (barring a Leliana resurrection) that could be sure enough to be alive, was part of the game (therefore recruited, not fired, not rotting in prison, etc). Even Dorian could have never been recruited, and Cullen could be begging for lyrium on the streets of Denerim in one possible ending. I can see at least cameos (like Zevran in DA2, for instance) for just about anyone. Leliana is one who's spanned the various Dragon Age games. I'd like Cullen to at least have a cameo, or a cut scene of some kind. Varric, of course. What I really want to see, though, is Tevinter, Qunari lands, like Par Vollen, more about the Avaar (and how they handle magic), more Dwarven lore, after what happened in Descent. But honestly? TEVINTER. Oh, and figure out what's going on in the Anderfels with the Warden headquarters. It seems everyone who's anyone who's still alive from DA and DA2 is heading there.

Oh I will really miss the inquisitor especially the Lavellan x Solas lovestory. The end was so heartbreaking.

I'd like mages to have access to all their abilities like with the first game. As well as race specific magic like we have seen in multi-player and npc. Eleven magic, qunari magic, orlesian music magic.

I would like to see them deliver on their promises for once.

This is fantastic news! I cannot wait till the next installment of Dragon Age comes out. I've been playing dragon's dogma to help keep me entertained in the mean time. Also, sorry that I've been gone. Been pretty lazy these past two months. Also, my Dead by Daylight save file got corrupted so that pretty much turned me off of video games for awhile (still waiting to get reimbursed after 1 month already) xD. Plus, now that I'm back at college, my free time will be limited to Fri-Sun. Also, thanks for the congrats on 100 subs. I really need to do more live streams for my viewers. And while we're at it, congrats to you on nearly 4k subs, that's pretty insane. Honestly, I don't know why you don't have at least 20k. You'll get there soon though! I know Witcher is amazing but godamn i'm so tired of open world, linear is so much better for storytelling, of course a modern kind of linear, with big areas and exploration, but no more meaningless quests and staying in an area for 10-20 hours. Also why RPGs need to have 100+ hours of gameplay? Tone it down for 40-60 and improve even more the characters, combat, lore, etc.

I know it will never happen, but a new dragon age with my warden and morrigan as the main characters would be the best thing ever. I need that in my life.

I hope they bring back bloodmagic and more indepth class customization like they did with origins.

Morrigan is one of the best characters ever, also loved Blackwall, Dorian and Sera from DAI. I hope they really work on the relationships, conversations and the character creation.

Personally I think game devs gotta chill out on the open world stuff for Abit it's starting to become over played. Especially because they keep forgetting that huge map size isn't everything. Too many games are coming out all falling to the same problem. " Look at our big world, the map is huge, giant open world for you to explore". But then we get into the game and it's not long before we realize that the map not just big, it's.... empty. it's kinda like a big bag of chips. Party size! But as soon as you open up that bag you realize its mostly just a fucking bag of air.

But what I really need to know is will Brothels be returning?

Morrigan as a squad member, Sandal enchantments and i want my mabari back! And for the love of god, let us use bloodmagic.

I wished they bring back the No talking character as it brings more RP options to the table like in Origins, I also know a lot of people don't how they changed the combat from Strategic to real time combat, but i like it.

Bring back Sandal and Killing Animations from Origins. Idk if anyone mentioned the killing animations I thought those were great after auto attacking for 3 mins.

Characters I want to see? Zevran, Fenris, Anders. Also Alistair, esp. if he's King of Ferelden. Would be nice for them to include Dorian and perhaps the Iron Bull. Oh and Sandal! We didn't see Sandal in Inquisition. I want to know more about who/what he is.

If there is a new protagonist. I recommend Xanthe Elbrick as the voice for the female lead. I love her snarky deliveries in SWTOR as the Sith Inquisitor. For the male lead Mark Bazeley simply because he sounds like a badass (Especially in SWTOR as the Sith Warrior).

I don't know how much I like that they already know what will be in Dragon age 5, that could mean two things, either they have a very clear image of where the story is going for Dragon Age 4, leading into 5, or they just split the journey they created in two games =/

As much as i love cullen im worried what bringing him back will do, i mean he's had this huge character arch throughout the series, going from nice guy then the events of the circle where he changed and because so dark, then to dragon age 2 where he was almost a bad guy, then in the 3rd one where he found his redemption and couldve had the super happy ending with a family and all....usually when a beloved character gets that super happy ending and gets brought back it doesn't end well for them...

I like too see Cullen but idk you would be able to romance him idk would be weird lol and Dorian and fenris. That would be very interesting interaction with the both of them.

I really hope we can still choose to play as any of the major 4 races. I also hope we get some companions from the books, like Cole.

Just keep it the same map styles. Don't make it open world, let us visit different vast regions like we have done in Inquisition. As for Cullen being in charge of preventing the Apocalypse? Shouldn't you technically be answering to the Inquisitor considering how things are going? And, I don't care how many times they say no, I'm going to keep saying bring back the Hero of Ferelden/Warden Commander of Amaranthine.

Open world is nice and all but they had said they were getting inspirations from Skyrim when designing Inquisition, but the final product couldnt have been any further from it. Unlike Skyrim, the world was very big and emty. There was nothing to explore, nothing to interact with. No interesting quests that take you to various places. All we were doing was going somewhere, do something or kill some people, and finish. There was no interaction between quests and the map. Except some rare points, I had no desire to explore because there was nothing interesting. Only time I remember I wanted to explore willingly was Hissing Wastes, to discover what brought the dwarves there and what we would discover in the end. And even though there was just a chest at the end (sigh) the story on the way to get there was nice. Look at the swamp map for example (I dont even remember the name). A nice map with a nice theme, and for what? There was just a single rescue mission on that map, and some pointless side quests like kill the undead, seal the rift, kill the apostate (at least that had a whiff of story to it). I really like this game and it has so much potential, but they are ruining it..

Oh and I hope they add a larger skill bar that has more than 8 slots, and more abilities in general. This feature kept on being dumbed down through the franchise. Which is beyond retarded.

I'd be cool if we could join Solas or the Qunari. But I just want the option to play as an evil type of character again because those were the fun playthroughs in Origins.

Stop with the open world bullshit and do what you do best bioware....characters and story.

I want to have to choose between teaming up with solas or the qunari - wouldn't it be awesome to be leading a slave rebellion in tevintar as well? That alone would make interactions with solas deep and interesting, but I'm also pretty sure that at the end of DA4, the vale is either partly or completely torn down, as set up to the final game.

I want a return of the Dragon Age Origins tactics system, damn it... this every game must be an fps game is getting older then my jocks (smellier too). Also I love playing a healer for christ sakes, give me the option, dps is a zerg full of boring. Also considering the quality devs have left BioWare, the remnants are the bottom of the barrel, like laughable Weekes and laidlaw, screwing the game IP over at the behest of EA.

I'd love to see the warden come back into the story, in the same way hawk did in Inquisition, I would love to see somthing similar to origins where you have a different beginning depending on what race you choose and also I want to feel like the choices I make have an impact on the world. Basically I want a combination of origins and Inquisition, I want to feel like if I don't take care of my companions they might actually abandone me.

Yavana (morrigans sister) should be companion for sure as it would be very interesting talking to her if u play a mage. not to mention she is like 1-2 hundred years old but still looks hot as hell lol

I would love to see my Hero of Ferelden back in the next Dragon Age game. She's alive and well, so if the option will be in the next game - custome and all - that will be sweet. If major events will take place in Tevinter, than maybe we will also see some tiny and squishy and fleshy sassy dwarf who declared a war against every bird on the planet? :-) (SPILERS AHEAD!!!) There is a problem with Cullen taking a major act in the next game: If the inquisitor force him to take lyrium (SPOILERS AHEAD!!!) so at the end of Trespasser it shown that the addiction consumed him, and Scout Harding confirms it to be so.

For the love of god don't make it a big open world if all you're going to fill it with is boring fetch quests. Origins had pretty decent level sizes, hell I would say DA2 had decent level sizes, even though it was the same three the whole game. Inquisition though? Too big for it's own good. If they're still going to go with that and even bigger then for the love of god give us faster mounts.

Why is everyone pissed about it being open world?? Like, it lets the player feel like the choices they make honestly matter, and it makes the game longer. Inquisition was beautiful as it is, we need more content like that

Dragon age 4 in development is not a big shock, they literally said before inquisition was released "there is a plan for a franchise, a five game plan" but damn, they couldnt have brought out the jobs opening for dragon age game designers 2 years from now? bastards, my UNI course wont be finished.
