So did anyone else think the voice we heard in this sounded like the crazy, old Hermit from Origins? I like to believe that his original stump was connected to this complex underground cave system. I also like to believe that at one point he held a position of great power which made him go crazy.
@@B1ngusD1ngus If you use the horse you lose out on party banter. And if you're not playing a Dragon Age game to listen to party banter then just what are you doing lol
I don't think I've ever shared how i found this . Now I actually found the stair cave before even knowing about the tiny cave as you can see by the pre lite fade torch. It was 4am in the morning I've been playing all day, I'm tired all i want to do is go to bed. I open up my phone and get on GameFAQs; you know check boards, my messages, active posts etc. I notice a Gamespot article that mentions how the devs added a secret quest and that know one has found it yet, by this points my ears peak up. I'm reading it and it says something like seek the emerald graves for a cave and that this will lead to a giant stair case. Something in my brain just clicked and i thought "These two are connected, they have to be". Now i get to the Emerald Graves and this place is absolutely massive, it could literally be anywhere. After a few hours of just brutally searching, i mean we're talking a full on blood hound level search. I'm done, i can see daylight i need to go to bed. No joke not even 5 seconds after i said that... there it was in all its tiny glory. So I'm just looking at this thinking... well now what? i remember attacking it with ranged, swords, shields, magic... i even remember drawing enemies near it and killing them there to see if it required death essence or something (i was tired don't judge me). By this point I'm rage quit jumping on the thing, button mashing, annoyed, frustrated, and outright delirious screaming "WHY WONT YOU WORK!... wait did it... did it just speak? It spoke it's glorious tiny words and still nothing. Maybe it was just me being flat out tired or some part of me just knew i had to go get resources to get this quest to continue. Thats exactly what happened... i knew full well that i didn't have enough of what ever resource was needed. Now My first bench mark was an interval five... (i really like counting by fives, it's so easy) So i tried to get all the resources i could get hands on at that time. This went on for several hours before finding the correct amount and then the correct resource. Once i found the correct amount for all resources; i had to reload a previous save file and painstakingly go through each resource individually before finally landing on Crystal Grace. Now i didn't have to do this but at this point i was so invested in the discover i had to document it and share it with the world. The cave finally spoke I'm so excited and i rush over to Emprise de lion and run down those stairs like it Christmas morning open up the chest and there it was. I can't tell you how badly i wanted to give up. After it was all said and done it probably took 35 hours to find and document. I felt i like was discovering some rare cheat code in a game long before you could just look it up. It was an amazing feeling afterwards
I am of the opinion that the devs that make stuff like this find someone and give them the details on how to do it with the promise they won't ever say otherwise they lose their source.
Honestly it's probably just a way for the developers to blow of steam during the incredibly stressful AAA production cycle. A sort of "wouldn't it be stupid if we made a quest that..." and then as a joke they go ahead and program it in.
It would've been pretty hilarious if on NG+ in borderlands 2 you actually had to do the (imaginary) quest that claptrap gives you for finding his "secret stash"
Someone probably data mined the files and found the sound file for it in the emerald graves sound files. That's how secrets usually get found, they probably found the trigger in the files too.
I'm not gonna lie, I thought this was going to be complete bs, I was VERY surprised when it actually worked, and I got the item, though, so thank you so much for this guide, and I'm sorry for doubting you
Alexander Wolf yeah man. me too! can't wait to go free all the slaves khaleesi-style with Fenris and Dorian by my side! (hopefully. Bioware, hear my plea!) also, the horsies need to be faster. like... a lot.
So I'm guessing that was the Hermit from DAO speaking, who else would live in a tiny space and convince someone to find something so menial as a flower crown
Really impressive. I do remember the Devs talking about this a few weeks after the game came out how no one had completed the secret quest. This is ridiculous though lol
They found it via Data Mining. Just like they did with the Halo 3 lost skull. No one actually did this on their own before someone data mined the game.
Well, I guess if there has to be a silver lining to Corona Virus, I have the time to try and do this. I'm just trying to find things to do at this point anyway.
No trust me, to whoever says it ain't possible to jump on a rock fifty times and that he data mined the files....don't tell me you never ever raged jump on something trying to find a shortcut to going around them stupid mountains...AT LEAST ONCE...in Skyrim...At least once in Skyrim. Totally been there done that 😂
haha, awesome. when I saw the vid I thought it was bull, turns out this is a pretty good guide for that tiniest cave mission! cheers man, and thanks for sharing! I also realized that the voice inside the cave has several lines if you go with the flowers in the first attempt.
What I dislike about this great game is the open space and how you walk from point A to point B is just too much time consuming and the mount in the game is slower and kill the fun because you can't hear or see your companions.
i really hate people like you who would LOVE to have everything , every objective, merchant, flower, loot EVERYTHING in the same room if possible. This is an open world RPG. I love the exploration part
hamndv agreed. You can't even fight from your mount! Combined with how SLOW they are... Its a pain in the ass really. My other complaint about this game... 24+HOUR War Table missions and crap! I'm a pretty hardcore gamer. I will sit n play ALL DAY! But hell! 24+ hour wait for a mission to be finished? Indeed. Too time consuming.
the war table mission using real time. i still remmber at the end of my gameplay (eg i'm going to sleep for work/school tmrw), i make sure i do the war table mission with insane time. and by the time i boot the game tmrw it is already done. unless u plan to do speed walkthrough then sorry cant help u
Your inquisitor is named "The One Trevelyan"? Seriously? Too bad we don't get to meet his cousins "That One" and "This one", oh and the famous twins, "These Two".
If you're a new player going back and playing DAI right now so you're caught up on the lore before the new game is released and wondering why you can't find this quest, he's level 20's. You unlock different cities (maps) as you play along.
I hate the loot system in this game, purple is supposed to represent some of the greatest gear you can get in a video game with the exception of orange/yellow usually being epic/legendary depending on the game. I feel like more often then not most purples I find in this game are always under leveled and useless
I just crafted all my armour. It's usually better than the stuff you find. For example, at level 6 (the level I was at the time) Scout Armour has a DR of about 60-80, but when you craft it, it's max DR is about 120.
Crafted stuff is usually the best but purple gear is often not far behind it depends on where you go and what passives the weapon comes with, because sometimes you can unequip certain modifications (Not runes) from weapons and use them on others if need be
😮Holy shit. . .😶 YOU'RE detect hidden skill has maxed!!!! Just the sheer amount of patience and unruly, back to back hr crammed, hard-core, carpel tunnel, finger cramped arthritis clinched, eye burning, tear duct drying, dialog skipping, button mashing more than likely heavily caffeinated dedicated play throughs this shit of a 💎gd gem took THIS MOTHER F*#×£& that POSTED THIS VID?!?! if we aren't all massively trolled than. . . 🙌🙌 MANY EARNED ROUNDS OF APPLAUSE N CHEERS!!HATS TF OFF to YOU my good sir!! You have proven yourself worthy and with this completed you're pilgrimage, claim and dawn the armour of our earlier most determined ancestors!! 💫🌟✨ So far I have only accidentally glitched threw/under sky hold and found a chest beneath the under forge with a giant top hat 🎩 that plays weirdo ass carnie 🎶 music when opened. 😕😣😤😩😳 significant? HELL NOPE
There was a point where I had jumped on that wooden beam but didn't know why or where to go from there. Doesn't matter anymore cuz every time I try to start the game over I get stuck in the Fade. Oh well. Thanks for sharing this
Fully expected this to be clickbait or something dumb and funny. Turns out it was something dumb and beautiful. Well played, thank you so much for your hard work and the video upload of the results.
This is the best thing ever oh my god (unfortunately I saw this after I finished so I have to make another new character to see how it'll look on Solas *cries* )
Denise Schoening I finally figured it out! Same thing happened to me... went to the cave after doing everything and nothing was there. One thing I noticed, though, was when I did the 50 jumps, he said something but not what he said in the video. You have to travel out of the Emerald Graves, then go back to the cave. And when the voice MUST say "More More Need More. Not time to come out. Not yet" THEN YOU MUST go to the Hinterlands (no matter if you already have 10 Crystal Grace or not. He will always ask for more. When you go back you're able to give him the Crystal Grace (I had 11 when I started but still he asked for more so I gave it to him). Then when you go to Emprise Du Lion, the loot box will be there
I mean... I fell through Skyhold once, landed on a random platform below the earth, and found a birthday cake with creepy birthday music playing one time. So uh, why not I guess.
I found a huge top hat under skyhold once never a cake tho i must have been near the crafting room with dagna cause i got stuck in the wall there a couple seconds later
i dont know what easter egg is harder to find - the fucking pie king, which you can find only accidentally if your computer is not fast and powerful enough to load the skyhold in, or a cave with fucking leprechaun or whatever
Im so fucking mind blown, it FUCKING WORK like WHAT?!?!? what kind of player that found this things in a game, I MEAN JUST THINK WHAT IF THERE IS SO MANY MORE LIKE THIS IN THE GAME, i guess this game is not "just" a good game its also a mystery
I have no idea why this video is being suggested to me in 2021, but I still play the game, so what the hell. Still, it might have been nice if the devs had spent their time fixing bugs instead of adding crap "super secret" quests. Just saying.
yo WHAT? I think the thing that bugs e most about this game is how much potential each zone had, and the open exploration had, if you'd had some real side content to explore instead of it feeling disconected from the story entirely
I did all that was said to be done and when I got to the bottom of the cave. There was NO box?? I am playing as a female Quanari Warrior. Is this task racist and sexist??
this game is so bad,did like 1000face palms in my playthrough for trying to waste my time so at the end of the game It can make me think oh what a great game ,it took me 200hours to complete it! now this is the 1001st face palm
This... is worse than unlocking the vault in Skyhold... which, earlier this year, i found out you could do. HOW AM I STILL LEARNING THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME?!
See mine didn't work it said at first bring faith bring hope bring a dream of life. Thats when I had Bull Varric and Dorian. So then I'm like maybe it's specific characters, so I bring Cass(Faith), and then it says he wants to ruin the world to remake into his own desires. So then I'm like Solas (before end of game yo) so I bring him and it worked. Is it character specific I wonder??? Final list was Varric Solas and Cass
Hmm, I did get the 10 Crystal Grace (I had 9 so I got 1 more in Hinterlands), went back to the tiny cave, but I got him saying it's not enough. I shrugged it off and went to Emrise du Lion, got into the secret cave, but at the end, there was no chest. So do I need to get more Crystal Grace? Even though I already have 10? (I'm on PC, but that should not matter right?)
Are you kidding!?!?!! That's what the tiny cave was???!!! I thought it was some kind of shrine or something and left it alone!? I'm going back and I'm jumping on it.
6:27 i fucking knew !! that there was something going on in that place, found it in my first playthrough but i was never able to find what, until now(2 years late :V)...
that's a whole lot for a bunch of nothing. my helmet for Sarah (most unused character) is 15 ova this. pretty neat though. how long did it take you to find this ? I would have never been able to haha
I did this once several playthroughs ago and it creeped me out so much I haven't done it since. But the flower crown is really nice so I might try again.
Well playing on 360 there is no painting and no small cave but the talking bush is there in that spot....got tiniest cave quest complete now lets see if the rest works
Ok interesting...only thing is my whole team is already better equipped except my male inquisitor rogue dw assassin at lvl 21,,,nice fashion statement wish i could get some banter going on about me wearing it lol
are you serious?????????????? No full loot? no creazy high powered armor that looks amazing? or rare weapon from a god? you jump on a rock 50x for...flowers. Sigh. wtf
