Hate train is over the top. The game has its faults but it has a decent story that DA fans like myself can appreciate since we never had a DA game in years!
Well I have only watched till half right now, I would say it's interesting and i love the combat (always wanted that kind of combat in DAI). The storytelling and dialogs are not as engaging as i think they should have been, but they are not bad. I think overall it looks enjoyable, not as strong as DAO and DAI to me, but above average.
Kind of wild that the studio that brought us the likes of Loghain and the Arishok wrote such generic, bland antagonists for this game. The elven gods were supposed to be incredible beings, powerful enough and intelligent enough to rule over a society comprised entirely of powerful mages. But here they are foolish cartoon antagonists, just chumps with very typical evil villain motivations. Even Corypheus was a far superior antagonist to them.
You can’t convince me that most of the dialogue isn’t AI generated. It feels so off. At best it’s so straight forward and bland and at worst it’s like the characters interacting are having two different conversations.
Yeah there are moments when I feel the game is well written and witty, but some of the dialogue is just so.... Bladn. And 8 hate the characters god damn they so dumb
Remember when the Elven gods were just rando dudes who claimed they were divine in the same way rando dudes in Europe claimed they were kings? That was so much better than them just being straight up divine entities.
I was really holding out hope that morrigan being back meant we would see more of her son Kieran and learn why her mother needed that gods soul from him but she made no mention of any of that which is a shame cause i was really invested in that story and wanted to hear more about our warden from origins 😢 story wise this game is a bit of a let down for me
I didn't like neither how his story ended. I mean , was obvious that his presence was no longer necessary for the story, but I wished they would had gave him a good final death since he was an important character in DA
So there is legendary game DAO, there is a cool enough game DA2, there is a DAI that i dont rly wanna touch with a 15 feet stick. And now there is a veilguard.
@@laughingwolf5862So top selling pre order= good game? Everyone can have their own decision, most of them are based on trailers for now. For me it looks good, for you it may look good but it still our povs. Ppl who played the game will decide who is right, not blindly top seller pre order. Tho we already have reviews like SkillUp. Time will tell everything
@@laughingwolf5862 Did you see the guidance EA and Bioware issued out to reviewers pretty much saying they can only release good reviews? just search "return to form bioware" to see the shilling and forced usage of terminology that EA/Bioware forced reviewers to use
@@laughingwolf5862 Ah yes, the good reviews with copy and paste texts like "this is the return to form of Bioware" lol The same kind of reviews that give games 1 or 2 points for having diversity regardless of the game's quality. Those good reviews.
It looks like it had a lot of potential but the script writing is fucking horrible and doesn't tie in well. Also what the fuck is the end cut-scene where you don't have a choice to side with solas or not and you choose the goody two shoes side. What's with all the dragon bosses? I also laughed at the ending. It's like trump was speaking - The final blight - the worst of blights - was over. Like what trump says ''He's a great guy, good guy, amazing guy'' 😂😂 I feel like my intelligence is being insulted lol.
It's not even "goody two shoes"... It's ⚪. The world was betrayed. The world was sundered by Solas. Solas seeks to fix his mistake and undo his betrayal. To return to how things were before 1492.... This narrative is just a massive defense of the decayed status quo regardless of the fact that it's broken and toxic.
Hilarious how the boss patterns are so obvious. I guess you can turn off the UI indicators, right? But even without the indicators, it still looks basic and flat. A slightly improved Kingdoms of Amalur
It does look flashy, but you can see the AI patterns are pretty obvious, also the "spongy" design. To a old head like me, the combat in this game looks +- like a improved Kingdoms of Amalur, which is not something good (far from it)
You are not wring my friend. This is epic. I wanna play and make different choices to save all my companions. I know this is a quick playthrough trying to reach the end of game. This is why I see some evil and sad outcomes.
I feel like this story is incomplete... And somehow the rest are some over priced DLC. That I won't buy until on sale and just live vicariously through RU-vid playthrough... Mostly focused on romance.
2:37:53 that Text remind me Mass Effect 3 Ending LOL and final boss plot armor is same final boss in DA:I as someone who play from DA:O to DA:i gonna say.... waiting for 90% off RIP my Morrigan... model design
I mean if that's how you feel fair enough I enjoyed hogwarts for what it was if you enjoyed veilguard I highly recommend some of the older games origins was my favorite
