I believe the fake dagger ending is actually pretty good, but my god there is no catharsis for those of us who romanced Solas. The Inquisitor should've been the protagonist of this sequel.
I can only assume if they have the money from this game, that will happen, but based on review bombardment by "actual" critics and gamers, doubtful. If there were a sequel (most likely DLC)... Maybe Solas roamnce with Inquistor could happen if there's aside quest.
@NoOne00 Mythal played a big part on Solas. It was obvious that only the Inquisitor couldn't help him to change his mind and be free from the burden he had inside. I am speaking as Solavellan fan. The only thing I didn't like is how they managed the endings. They are a bit poor. I wish there was more
Okay so all these fanfiction type scenarios in my head including Inquisitor screaming on Solas to "Stop once for a moment and listen!" and fighting with help of DA4 protagonist (while wearing actual armor and not casual clothes into literally end times battle) sounded far better than "Somehow elven gods returned"
That would've mean Veilguard would be the very last game in series and EA wont allow this (I mean it probably will be the last anyway because it wont sell enough) Even now with pretty much all major arcs closed they did a cliffhanger in good ending with some mastermind plot bullshit
Yeah, I just got done playing through origins again and it’s really gone downhill. This is more like a marvel movie with a dragon age skin on it. And that epilogue is absolutely pathetic.
@@ashm4938 Indeed. My favorite is still DAO, although outdated on graphics and gameplay the writing was outstanding. Then DA2 and DAI we're actually not that bad in terms of writing either.. The ending of trespasser leaves you on that cliffhanger, pretty good... then this shit right comes out as one of the worst game's I've ever seen... I can't even believe how low these people set this game.
@@tylerwhite3335 Exactly, and even the "dragon age skin" this game as is awfully disneyesc with a touch of marvel as you've said, it lost the Origins soul.. I'll just replay DAO again, This game right here, is just bad.
Just because the stupid bunch of pixels called Lavellan didn't get to ride into the sunset with a genocidal, pathological liar and elven race supremacist? Outsmarting/stabbing this son of a bitch is something I've been waiting for the past 8 years.
Who the fuck were the people in the post credit scene supposed to be? Are they really trying to imply there was a secret 4th party that manipulated everything in Dragon Age to get to this point?
I mean, I had thought of this before. Hell, it was even a not-so-uncommon hypothesis among some fans that Mythal had orchestrated most major events, so why not someone/something else? It is technically possible, through dreams and through the blight, or maybe something new. Many mysteries still remain after all, even without that scene.
I'm literally having WoW Shadowlands vibes from this post-credit scene. "Well guys, ackshually, the big bad evil guy behind the scenes was the one who orchestrated it all!" 🤓It's Steve Danuser levels of writing all over again.
the forgotten ones... Solas played two factions of the gods against each other to create the veil. The "good" elven gods are dead or bound to the veil, so is Solas/Fen'Harel. So the question that remains is: Cui bono? Who profits from that. Too intelligent for the Blight and as there is no connection to the Blight, there is no connection to an opposition like the broodmother or the architect. The next in line would be a secret organisation, but all that we know are more concerned about might and money..., tevinter mages or followers of the old gods? nope, they would have wanted access to the golden city. With Solas bound to the veil and the other side, they would have to overcome a mighty gatekeeper and Mythal. So their aim would be Thedas. With Mythal and Solas gone, the "good" elven gods dead, there is noone for the forgotten ones to fear. So i think, that these people are a secret cult of worshippers of the forgotten ones, that are working on freeing them, so taht they can rule Thedas
well in Inquisition, there were "Those Who Are Beyond the Sea" (sorry, I don't know what they were exactly in English), they were also in the novels, I guess they were a hint. But they were literally only introduced in Inquisition, where do they relate to Loghain? There are no hints in the game, there are no hints in the books, there are literally no hints anywhere.
oh my god theyre really pulling a "completely unknown evil group was the source of every bad event in the series" trope just to allow for another game.
They really called happy ending an ending that everyone that we don't even care lives smth Someone warn the new writers that their new characters aren't that charismatic for that
So in Dragon age 5 , Dumat and others Magister except corrypheus and the Architect will return ? Maybe the return of Andraste to broke the corruption forever
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v3O6mzJWKaM.htmlfeature=shared. I think I found the ending where Solas redeems himself and the Inquisitor had a romantic relationship with him.
So in the end : no matter the type of ending (solas sacrifing himself, tricked or everyone dies) the veil is still up, and the elven people of Thedas will still be fuked, still be slaces of other races, still a broken and scattered people living as slaves... So, what about all those elves that joined Solas in restoring the old world and died... How are they honored by the so called sacrifice of Solas and keeping the Veil up ???????????????? How are the elven people treated in this context ???????????????????????
Ah, yes, the good ol' people show their true selves when they're angry bit. I'm sure you've never said anything you didn't mean while you were angry before.
I actually like that ending more than I liked the fake dagger ending. Solas, for all his ego and stupidity, gets outdone by a man trying to save his world... just like he was. Rook was his current world mirror, saving his world from the tyrant known as Solas. Unlike him though, Rook was willing to destroy himself to do it.
damn I was always wondering when those shadowy figures implied in origins that were behind everything were gonna show up! nothingburger bullshit sequel bait of all time
Hey! I've worked on all the endings VFX for all those endings. Working on my portfolio now. You mind if I take some shots of your videos ? Will credit you of course
OH! MYTHAL ESSENCE! I just watched Morrigan in somewhere... need to buy this game... by the time i do all spoilery spoilers spoil all the poilers in spo... ilers...
So let me get this straight in the ending where Mythal and Solas they talk : After the ,,I release you from service" ; the Inquisitor saying that solas is free to find a better way. Isnt one of the main themes of Dragon Age games how the elves of Thedas got it so bad in this world... ANd the one motherfuker -SOLAS- who is trying to save the elven people of Thedas from that situation is being shown, IN THE VEILGUARD GAME, like a monster, a pathetic weak individual/beta male ETC who is the ultimate evil !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
My god the first ending is SO GOOD! It makes perfect sense if you romanced Solas in Inquisition! The game disappointed me in some aspects but overall it's very good! Proud of Bioware
Solas is a VERY good actor, I'll give him that much. Once he showed his true colors at the end though, it was clear he was never trustworthy. Useful, but never worth trust,
It seems that in good ending, the title Veilguard is Solas all along. Funny how people criticize over the title change, when in the end, it is still all about him.
sO you dont get to reunite Solas and Lavellan ; You dont get to help the Elven people of THedas ; its just about fuing up a dude who is trying to help&save his people. FUK THIS TRASH GAME, NOT WORTH BUYING IN MY EYES !
Bioware said choices mattered, yet we see in thiS ,,game" and endings : Not helping the elven people of Thedas ; the fans of Solas and Lavellan they didnt get stabbed in the back, THEY GOT IT BETWEEN THE RIBS ; not even about restoring the elven people...BRUH I dont know, what the fuk is even the talk/themes are about in this game ! People who keep fuing up ??????????? Im a great fan of the Dragon Age, especially the Inquisition one, but I see that the choice you make : like wanting to fight for the elves ; to romance Solas and save him ; In this game = THEY DONT MATTER, DONT EXIST !
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v3O6mzJWKaM.htmlfeature=shared. I think I found the ending where Solas redeems himself and the Inquisitor had a romantic relationship with him.
@@marialidiaestevezlemos5279 Oh, my... Finally! Thank you fot this link. Glad to see them together after all this madness. This is the only one right ending for such complicated character as Solas. Imo. His fear was dying alone after all... Lavellan's faith in him changed everything.
You do know the story of this game was written by rabid man hatting feminists with one simple proof. At the words of 2 women - Mythal and Lavellan - Solas forgets his vows&duty to the elven people of Thedas ! GREAT STORY BRUH, AS I SAD A PIECE OF TRASH GAME IM NOT BUYING, TOUCHING !
