Please enjoy my Halloween Special where I discuss the hidden beauty of old horror movies: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8iI6NEU-BeQ.html and chime in. How do you pronounce "divisive"? Do you say "divisive" or "divisive"?
BRO! 😂 You know what the real problem is? The developers can't tell the difference between taking their story seriously and taking themselves seriously. They think it's one and the same; the "appearance" of the game just needs to look "fun!" and "free-spirited" and not equality with men, but "we-don't-NEED-men". I get it...but we're all supposed to be in this world together. I'm so glad you're "not" a RU-vidr. I love your videos. 👍
We say "divisorio" in my language! I'm a massive fan of Dragon Age. It's a great weekend to go camping with the family! Ps: I love rocks! I don't understand why people look at me funny when I say that.
A single stone holds millions of years of Earth's history and can give us a glimpse into a primordial world humanity will never know firsthand. This game could only wish to be so lucky.
Jerrel, just wanted to say I really appreciate what you’re doing and I’m happy that RU-vid decided to recommend your video a little while ago. These days, it sometimes seems that there is nothing else that matters more than showing the rest of the world how good your life is by posting it on the socials. This is especially true for the young generation. Personally I’ve gotten rid of Facebook and instagram and I’m glad that I did. I hope you can reach a lot of people with your words, because we need content like this. I love it ❤.
I'm glad to hear from you. I just want to share some positive energy and encourage people to enjoy their lives by seeking out all the beautiful things they can see and do. I won't ever be one of those huge, bombastic influencers who crash their million dollar cars for attention, so I am grateful for whatever audience I can reach.
I showed this to my son since he's a budding little archeologist. He's now looking around my city if groups that do amateur fossil hunting are around. Thanks for inspiring my little munchkin!
@@kuoyulu6714 I hope you overestimate their influence 😄 The only ones I've seen enjoying the game to any degree were hooked to the button-smashing combat and talked over any dialogue that happened, so not much chance of getting through to them with the propaganda. The ones that would be interested in the story and characters have mostly already claimed a refund, I guess. 💩
my first guess would have been that's a chunk of jasper before polishing, but fossils are even cooler oh, and just as a reminder, I officially got more enjoyment from your vid than from Veilguard
@@sungrandstudios I love crystals and still keep multiple dozens from an oid collection, but the one I love most is labradorite, so I can't deny fossils either
In other news, Holocure 0.7 teaser just dropped. Honestly I'm just glad people like Kay Yu exist, showing us how indie devs can make games that're *_actually_* fun to play with.
Welcome to the club. I've become entirely apathetic to AAA games. I don't care enough anymore to be mad. Im just gonna go kayaking Thats a cool fossil ngl.
Fossicking is an Australian and New Zealand word. There is fossil hunting in Alberta, Canada, although you are not allowed to take fossils out of province. There are fossils in US congress.
@@sungrandstudios - Alberta is a province of fossils, I don't know all that are found there, Gorgosaurus and Albertosaurus are 2 of which I am aware. The 21m Ichthyosaur was found in northern BC. The Tyrrell Museum has hikes and supervised digs.
The feeling of working hard to chip open a rock to find an animal fossil is incredibly exciting, especially after you've had 4 hours of only finding leaves.
I actually spend most of my days working in nature. I like to play videogames when I return home to the walls and technology, or at least I used to ...
Oh no... I feel for you. Your hobby and escape from work should not be used for political lecturing. Let's see what we can do to get the industry back on track.
The speech at the end really made me feel something, I've had anhedonia for a long time and I really appreciate that there's someone who can still bring positive vibes to my otherwise vibeless life.
This video brought a smile to my face and I remembered I was dreaming about searching and finding fossil from the Jurassic era . Thanks for the video btw
Very cool, thanks for the story! I used to collect rocks as a kid, and always enjoyed my family's day trips to old mines in Pennsylvania and New York. The brisk coldness and overall atmosphere when going in a deep mine or cave is such a weird experience, you'll remember it for a long time.
Binary Whenever i hear that word my skin crawls and i shiver I think its lazy incompetent writing really because people who see themselves as “binary” would find this cringey
I'm so sick of games forcing identity politics, and the critical backlash is just as bad. Thank you for this, exactly what I needed. New subscriber (first one was the sponsored dad, lol), and just love the spirit of your channel.
Thank you for bringing some cool vibes. The audience needs it so much. Also, I think that you have rekindled my old hobby of collecting rocks (and cracking those). I appreciate that.
Dragon Age: it failed hard Edit: I wish there were clubs for mushroom hunting like your fossiking(? Is that what you’re calling it?!) club. I like to be able to cook and eat what I’d search for 😅 As for the Mando-cello, you should check out the Irish Bozouki, also known as the Citern. They are VERY similar instruments. I’d also recommend the music of Daoirí Farrell as a great example of Citern. It’s definitely not as Bassy as the Mando-cello.
This actually is a modern tie which you can order online here: www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007050247706.html it is #13 on the list. I'm not sponsored. this is where I got this particular tie.
Great video maybe too much veilgaurd talk lol. I dig fossils but I am a rock hound in Southern AZ and I go out finding pyrite, quartz, turquoise, etc and i totally get the feel good vibes hunting gives you. Recently I happened upon a pretty cool meteorite and now I’m delving into a whole new world of meteorite hunting. Cheers!
Hahaha yeah, should have cut back the screentime for talking about Veilguard. Great to hear from a fellow hunter. Now Meteorite hunting sounds exciting!
The Professor telling the kids to sit down and enjoy life and touch grass instead of worrying about online drama while giving us ASMR. Thanks teach. 👏❤
I'll be honest, I don't know much about Dragon Age The Veilguard or the drama surrounding it... I came here just to hear you talk about the cool rock you found. Glad I did, learned a bit about Fossil Hunting.
Man I really appreciate the way you go about your content. The way you use these topics like DA (smart for working the algorithm) to pivot into more positive and grounded content seems to be working well. It's like you find a way to spin outrage into something wholesome which is awesome to see, youtube needs more of this.
I'm glad to hear from you. I really appreciate that. Working within RU-vid's system is quite stressful, so I have immense respect for people who can make it work for them. I want to take care in not letting RU-vid's algorithm negatively affect my outlook on life or influence my thoughts and actions. This approach I'm taking is the best path I could find that allows me to stay true to what I believe in and bring something positive to other people. I'm so grateful you are enjoying the channel.
I've got a funny observation, I think you're on the west coast, we'll I'm on the east coast in Southern Georgia about 10 minutes from the Florida line, and I just have to say I'm jealous of those ties 🤣, you've always got the coolest ties in your videos, you should find a company similar to how youtubers often work with t-shirt companies except find one that you can release your own line of ties. Perhaps a "tie of the month" club or something. Hehe, maybe too silly, but regardless I also wanted to say I absolutely love your videos!
Hey hope you see this comment. Just recently subscribed, I would love it if you did a video breaking down the writing style of Hideo Kojima. I’ve rolled my eyes at his writing, while also been utterly impressed by it. Would be interesting if someone like yourself who is a decent writer broke down his storytelling. Thanks!
I really hope the Mass Effect team look at the Dragon Age sale and do a wake up call. Mass Effect 5 may really be the last game Bioware will ever make.
This is all I really want. Just somebody to talk about games, entertain me and keep me up to date but bring me out of the depression of today. Thanks man. My algorithm loves the negativity, not me and I rarely escape it.
Veilguard sucks! Cool rock, bro! Makes me wanna go to the beach and pick a few this weekend... Also, I'm glad I heard about fossicking. I never even knew it was a thing! I'm legitimately intrigued!
What do you mean we haven't met yet? Physically no, but emotionally yes. Keep being awesome! I wish i could show you my hobby but RU-vid doesn't like bang bang sticks.
Although I did click this video to get a snicker or two, or seven, I've not finished the video, I truly came here to make sure you are doing alright after your recent loss. I've come to find that "what if's" are such a detrimental thing but it is human nature, and you explained that brilliantly in your previous video. So. Yea. Love from Baltimore, sir. Thanks for what you do.
That's so kind of you. I really appreciate that. I am doing my best to move forward in a positive way. I appreciate hearing from you, especially that you've heard a positive message from my videos. Thank you for checking in.
I love the mandolin, all shapes and sizes, and I also love rocks, all shapes and sizes. I was very into rocks when I was a kid I used to go down to the stream in my backyard pull out rocks, break them in half and polish them up. One time I was so excited, I found a geode, but it turned out as my older brother explained that someone must have disposed of it there because it was already broken in half and polished. It was still cool to find though.
Rocks you find in rivers and streams are interesting, aren't they? They've been tumbling around and being shaped and smoothed for hundreds of years. You can really get lost hunting for them along a river or stream.
My father used to take me fossil hunting after they had blasted an area for future road work. I’m blessed to live in a place where fossils are easily found.
Happy Halloween over there. 🙂I'm glad you had fun fossil hunting. Used to do that with my family back in the day. The central regions of The United States used to be a large, shallow sea wedged between two mountain ranges. Lots of critters called it home, and a little digging can reveal heaps of old fossilized coral, shells, and animals. Was always a good time.
Loved it when I was a kid could find rocks look like normal and dirty on outside then when you broke them up they had these awesome looking crystals inside below the surface. Think they were probably what you call Quartz, at least that be my guess without being any expert that that stuff.
I complete Dragon Age: Origins and Awakening more than 10 times. Dragon Age 2 around 5-8 times. Dragon Age Inquisition more than 5 times. And Dragon Age Origins is still my favorite game in this series. I will definitely not play The Veilguard mainly because of three reasons: 1. You don’t have full control over your companions. I love strategy games where you can create different team composition (more tanky, more CC, all DPS etc.) and try different builds for them. 2. So far that I have seen dialogues are not appalling to me. I love more rough adult language and also world don’t seems dark survival horror enough. 3. Qunari models look terrible (my favorite models were in Dragon Age 2). Yeah someone could say: Then don’t play with Qunari. But problem is that I will come across with NPSs and this would make me angry 100%. Maybe one day if we will have heavily modified version of game…
Not having control over party members is a huge deal breaker for me. The fact that party members in Veilguard are treated as nothing more than "a group of abilities all sharing one cooldown meter" is so baffling.
I love hanging out with good people. Though as someone mathematically inclined I tend to stick to board games and carpentry to create aides for said games. That low mando reminds me of the glorious SimCity 4 soundtrack.
Board games are underrated, as are jigsaw puzzles. What I like about jigsaws is the couch co-op, and other players can drop in and out and not cause your session to end.
man you have cleared thousands of irl side quests. if i made these videos, they would all be "here are some neat anime tiddies i found" but you have an entire adventure to talk about every time
Bro not only followed that "touch grass" saying, but went the extra mile and having a more entertaining dialogue about a rock that BioWare couldn't even have in one freaking game lol. As for me. I'll take a cookie. And eat it. Cuz that fruit be looking mighty spoil 😆
If I ever manage to make a video game, your channel and Code Monkey will be in the "Special Thanks". Both, in different ways, take video games with the perfect balance of "God, these medium is amazing!" and "God, video games are so silly and let's just be happy, please". Emus rock, I might become an emu rancher. Emus and Fossils. A quiet life. We'll see.
I remeber walking into our yard with my shovel ready to dig up some dinosaurs at the age of about 3 or 4 I guess. I found a bone & got very excited till I realized that it was "just" a chicken bone buried by probably my cat. This video somehow brought back that memory. Ty ^^
I was lucky enough to live in your region where Fossils are easy to find...unfortunately this activity did not bring the desired monetary value, That reminds me of a group of tourists who had no idea about the subject and thought it would bring in money. Unfortunately they did not have the tools they needed. Sad story. I hope this does not happen in another industry...can sometimes spoil the fun.
