I'm absolutely excited. Excellent dark trailer! Only seven days left. I firmly believe that Veilguard will succeed and close the mouth of all haters. This will be a big surprise for many haters. It will be a good game and a black horse autumn! Pre-ordered. ♥
Can't understand all the rage bait around this game. I played all Dragon Age games and I genuinely think this one looks intriguing. I'm really looking forward the 31st of October to play it.
Raging online is all the rage (pun intended). Remember what the attitudes were surrounding Silent Hill 2? Personally, I was never one to be judgmental before actually seeing the end product.
Lame writing, terrible dialogue, Solas left aside for two generic and bland power ranger villains, main character has no charisma nor reason to be the leader, silly art style for kids, bullshit modern language like a Qunari presenting herself as non binary
The first trailer looked bad, like, really bad, i didn't want to buy that game, now, this trailer? pretty good, i liked the music, it shows that the game is dark, shows blood, shows action, but not cheesy action like in the reveal trailer. I hope the combat can be tactical, because from what i've seen in the gameplay videos, it looks like it's a standar action combat without much strategy. That said, i think this will be a good game.
While I dont hate the game and am very excited about it, I also kinda understand the confusion from the first trailer... this trailer right here has the perfect tone imo
Yeah I'm glad they showed some blood in this new trailer so there is some hope for realistic combat violence at least but what I really hate about what they have shown so far is how cartoonish most of the "monsters' look especially the elite demons and some darkspawn faces look goofy as hell.
Yea because it was a fucking automelee for the last 3 games. I don't know why people are bitching about this combat hete, all the other DA games had combo animations + bunch of active skills, like in 90% of MMOs
@@Podcir totally. I remember back in 2009 that my only issue with DAO was that I found combat boring. Then DA2 was too button mashy. To me DAI had the best combat and when I replayed it last month I felt like “okay this wasn’t as fun as I remembered” (except dragon fights those are still amazing)
@@Marmondos420 then I would 100 percent recommend playing the previous games, I enjoyed them alot. Though on that, the art does look good though some of the enemies did get a downgrade in my opinion.
@@Marmondos420 The art style is decent in a vacuum, but it's quite a big departure from what Dragon Age players are used to based off the previous three games. I understand why some people are put off by it. I do think the reaction is a little over the top though
If this game bombs and BioWare is still around afterward, I really hope that they learn from this and try to avoid the same mistakes with Mass Effect. If this does end up being it for BioWare though, I only hope that EA sells off the IPs and they aren’t shelved forever.
I feel like if this bombs BioWare is done for. Anthem was so bad they had to rework this game. I think it was gonna be a live service game at one point. I think ea is gonna cut them off if they fail like they did with dead space remake and that was good game. Hopefully they can sold to a good company but most of the time the ax.
I don't understand people who expect bad actors in an industry to do be redeemed and do a better job in the future. Do you expect the guy that mugged you and beated you senseless to "turn around" and then say sorry to you and move like nothing happened? Bad companies, exploitative companies, but especially companies that don't care about what the consumers want, must and will go down, the question is a matter of when, not if.
This is such a must have for me. I'm so excited for this. I really enjoyed the Spotify audiobooks series, as well. Other than the goofy looking darkspawn, I'm very much like the art direction for this game.
I don’t understand the hate Dragon Age has always been a pretty good game series. Plus they at least included gameplay with the trailer so it’s at least got potential
@@heavyartillery-qm5hu first of all, you cant see the chest scar on armor, second you can just not use it..... no1 is forcing a gun to ur head. make a choice ur self...
i really love the serious so far, but the graphics on this one look bad for me, especially compared to whats possible in 2024. Like it is from 2017 or older. Still excited. BioWare please don't disappoint us :)
Some of the previews, esp the changes to the rpg mechanics and the little/no impact previous titles will have are worrying, but ngl, that was a good trailer
That should have been the first trailer 😅 Anyway great work Bioware, thanks for giving us this great game even if some of the grifters here in the comments don´t deserve it 💜💜💜
@@Mystrasun when you run out of reasons to protect yourself from people to make fun of you, you complain about people making things up that make fun of you.
I'm not hyped at all, and I was for inquisition. The art style and gameplay I've seen so far is just....off. It just doesn't look like a great game to play and it doesn't draw me in to an amazing world and story like the old ones do. It just doesn't look like the same franchise, so no hype.
Yeah I love dragon age and all but for this one I need to see if the gameplay and story/characters outweigh all of the changes for me. The art style is a bit goofy, the tone feels off and it being turned more into a hack and slash instead of a hybrid party arpg are all the things I was hoping the next Dragon Age wouldn't do. Who knows though it could be better than the sum of it's parts and draw me in.
The Darkspawn look more intimidating in here than in the gameplay footage hopefully they made the monsters less childish and cartoonish and into a frightening creature that all of Thedas fears. Played the previous three games read up on their novels, comics, and world of Thedas. Watched the anime and listen to their podcasts. So pretty much your above average-joe when it comes to Dragon Age. The only thing bad about this other than the cartoonish monsters is their lay-offs of thier developers especially Mary Kirby the writer of Varric. This is going to leave a bad thought in my mind when I play this game.
@@jordanangell9822 We want it to bomb because it's a middle finger to fans of this franchise in every way. This is Dragon Age in name only! It's frankly an abomination! But I have to correct you. We don't want every game to bomb. Good games that are fun, free of leftist propaganda and featuring attractive characters we want to succeed. We are happy Stellar Blade, Black Myth Wukong, Lies of P, Metaphor:ReFantazio and Astrobot succeeded.
Is it true that you cant load your prevs game world state like what DAI did with Dragon age keep?? If so whats the point of even continuing the saga anymore?
@@jarjarbinks7410yup. Different countries, different politics, and a limited number of returning faces due to that geography and geopolitical difference. That’s not even mentioning the in-game 10 year time gap. John Epler (creative director) has point blank said there’s leftover threads to explore and “import” for future titles where they’re tied in enough to matter without hand waving. They aren’t gone. It isn’t that they didn’t matter. It’s context for this plot. There’s plenty of series-particularly book series- that drop major plot threads for a bit (especially with cast changes) only to bring them back later.
@@RankaZer0 somewhat fair point, but it also included more repeat cast members who specifically fled the blight in Ferelden or were on their way somewhere directly after those events. It also took place starting parallel to Origins and ran its course immediately after. Even in that installment, several major characters and their major story arcs were completely dropped. Some of them weren’t even picked up in Inquisition. Others had touch and go Easter eggs or minor roles that didn’t really pull from many, if any, past decisions because they weren’t relevant. The plots were just close enough to each other for more crossover given the refugee storyline. I get that people love Easter eggs. I love them too. I grinned or got a bit weepy depending on context at a mention or cameo. I won’t dismiss that love. It’s just, realistically speaking, not every story in a universe will have that many intersections-especially over so much time and geographical space when there are somewhat (if not entirely) insular cultures that are basically unaffected by what happened to the south so long ago-or at least they believed themselves to be until Solas showed up and wrecked things. All I’m trying to say is that this is very normal for this style of anthology series (new cast with limited returning characters each go). It’s realistic that not everyone’s heard of everyone or is part of every major event in every part of the world. If it isn’t relevant here, why bloat the story with work-ins for choices and characters instead of putting them to the side until you can bring them back in a way that shines-that does them justice rather than fan service at the expense of the story you’re trying to tell? I respect the decision and don’t feel it erases my world because all that still happened-just not in the here and now and not for these specific characters who never witnessed it. That being said, I have my reservations about Morrigan not having choices tied to her because of how they seemed to be setting the stage for something interesting at the end of Inquisition. Perhaps it’s all a nothing burger because it was all different paths to the same goal in the game Mythal was playing with her. Perhaps she’s standoffish and only helps when needed/only tells you precisely what you actually need to know to succeed for her plan. That would actually be quite in character for her. I can’t say without experiencing it.
@@RankaZer0 sorry for the long response. There was just a lot of nuance to cover. TL;DR version: I love Easter eggs too, different circumstances and time gap make this not a direct comparison, and it seems more of a “to be continued…” notice than erasers taken to our world states (technically Ferelden, Orlais, and Kirkwall states) given dev commentary on social media.
Dragon Age has always been more about the lore and story to me; was a fan of the combat. I didn't really like Origins and Inquisition's combat. This looks more my speed and if they nail the story and lore then I think this game will be awesome.
This game has the dragon age name, its ultra high budget, tons of advertising, yet it can't even break into steam's top 10 selling games at the moment. Yikes
second most pre ordered game right now, and from tomorrow until launch it will be the most pre ordered game the whole week lol (its only behind black ops) a month ago metaphor had less pre orders than veilguard, you guys are underestimating this games sales, im not talking quality because it hasnt launched yet, in terms of pre sales its a success
So… where are the compagnons in the trailer? Is there something wrong with them so they manage to not show them (or barely) at all? 👀 It’s a simple question of course 😀
People complained about the companions for months upon months, and when they try to show something else you still complain... This trailer does look better than the other 2 showed before.
The Dragon Age inquisition launch trailer didn't feature the companions much either... I assume you have a "simple question" for that game too? Do you have anymore disingenuous questions?
@@GazingTrandoshan People have two options when it comes to this game: 1. Be naive and believe that this game will be good. Based on what? Your own delusions and subjective feelings. 2. Be skeptical. Based on what? The last 12 years, during which this studio has been releasing strong mediocre games and disappointing fans. Read this again and answer the question: what is more rational? Personal delusions or experiences from the last 12 years? And you wonder why "haters" complain about the game - they have the right to.
I don't think it's even the hate that is going to kill this to be honest. It's more that they have spent so much cash and had such a protracted development that it needs to hit big and hit hard sales wise to save Bioware, and it seems too divisive to do that. I've played all the previous games, but i'm waiting on reviews and maybe even a sale before hopping in to this one. That may be too late for Bioware though, you know what EA are like with studios and Bioware may well be on their last chance.
Just when I thought I'd heard the entire laundry list of copy-paste hatred of this game, the list just gets longer. Now the new one is... "they don't show the characters enough"
I want this to be good, but so many releases at the moment are technical messes or super average for a crazy price. I loved origins, 2 was meh, inquisition I played hundreds of hours - hope it’s not DA2 copy paste 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
I’m not trans, and I’m not going to use the chest scar option, but the option being there doesn’t make my day any worse. The antiwoke crowd is so exhausting.
Странное решение. Вместо того чтобы вдохновиться первой частью, которая вызвала у всех восторг, они продолжают скатывать последующие в еще больший провал. Еще и разраб квадробер
