I think we need to be aware Toriyama’s storytelling is founded in humor than the dark, gritty serious themes we Westerners value the most. Yes, his work can have serious topics, but it’s not only that. I don’t think we can judge the story when we haven’t seen it all yet.

The way Dabura's statue is posed in the 3rd Demon Realm, im kind of thinking he wasn't that "bad" of a guy. Seems like he was the "Mr. Satan" of his people but with the actual power to back it up. That Bibidi dude really messes with people.
My guess is that the Nameks got in trouble when they stole the pieces to create the dragon balls from Zalama, which prompted a lot more security in the demon realm
tbh if the saiyans end up having a connection to the demon real trough the oozaru transformation, this would only add more "demon" points to Gohan since he is half saiyan, was born with a tail and even turned Oozaru like twice

I have a couple of theories, im currently rewatching dragonball and i think Pilaf might be descended from demons based both on his appearance i know pointy ears dont prove it but he also wants to take over the world. My other theory is about my boi Piccolo, i think the reason he knows about neva is i think the nameless namekian probably did know he was namekian and abnout all this but when he split that knowledge went to King Piccolo not to kami and when goku killed him and he spit out the egg just like a yoshi i think theres information he just couldnt transmit to piccolo jr like about namek and the demon realm but when piccolo and kami re fused he remembered
Too bad that Daima didn’t happen after super. Would have loved to see frieza arriving to earth for trunk’s birthday, planning to kill everyone, just to be turned into baby first form frieza with the rest of them. Then frieza goes and accompanies goku and shin to the demon realm cause he wants to kill and “conquer” the ones that made him “smaller” lol.
More like the core people, which are born of fruits, belong to the demon races. Also to compare, in Shin Megami Tensei, all angelic beings are also a type of demon, which most of them will deny.
@@ThanatosZero my theory is that not all "demon realm races" are demons I see it more like alien races belonging to that specific dimension, imo the only demons should be the actual demon race like dabura and the makaioshins
i have a doubt bro, is there only one demon realm for all of the universes combined? we saw when king gomah was entering our world, he said universe 7, so does that mean there is only one demon realm, it would also make sense as it would have one supreme kai of the demon realm, also there is only one supreme kai of time

Dragonball has always had humor and fun as its foundation. It’s just western fans prefer dark and serious genres only. That doesn’t make ether bad. It’s just a conflict of cultural taste. Plus I think most western audiences don’t have patience for world building, nor do they like different versions or expanded version of series in general, from my observations.
Super isn't garbage and this is retcon doesn't;t make it cannon especially since it's disregarding a lot of lore that has been in place for years already
